R/R: new to the bump... my husband and I were supposed to start trying April 2020 but with the unknowns of COVID and the potential of losing our jobs as we are both in rocky industries when the economy isn’t so good we decided to have my IUD (non hormonal) removed in Sept 2020 to start trying. I’m feeling down/having regret that we didn’t just say “who cares let’s just do this in April 2020.” We always said we wanted to try/not try aka not be in the weeds of tracking ovulation and planning out sex to conceive but my Dr said since I’m getting close to 35 I need to track get pregnant ASAP when u went to my annual visit in December. She then ordered an ultrasound to check my follicles etc. Everything looked good as she says and she said to order ovulation tests etc... As I near closer to 35 (this Dec 2021) I’m being very hard on myself for not trying sooner :( I know it’s been only 2 months of actually trying but I’m filled with “should’ves and could’ves” not because it’s been 2 months but because of my age. We got married 2 years ago, at the time I knew I wanted to change jobs and knew I couldn’t be full on pregnant while applying, luckily I found a job within 6 months... we waiting so I would be covered in the company’s maternity leave policy and then covid shit down happened. I know I need to not stress but my husband doesn’t understand how I’m feeling. He’s supportive but I’m just now regretting delayed decisions because of my age... and I’ve gained some covid weight which has been getting me down too.
CS/Q: none
also, don’t beat yourself up about your age. If you just turned 34 you are most likely fine. I agree it probably makes sense to track your cycle to make sure you aren’t wasting time but I think your doc is a little old school for putting the idea in your head that you waited too long.
@bows22 I hope your meeting today goes smoothly! That sounds incredibly uncomfortable but sounds like it’s a good thing. Hopefully some changes come out of it.
@knottie…. Hi! And welcome. Can you do me a favor and change your name to something unique. That way we can get to know you better and it’s easier to tag you in replies. Being 34 is not too old to start trying AT ALL!!! I’m actually disappointed in your OB for making you feel that way. I’m surprised she ordered an U/S too. Was there a reason for it? It can take a healthy couple 12 months to get KU.

R/R: Nothing exciting going on over here. It’s supposed to get super cold this coming weekend and I’m not looking forward to it. I wish we could take an impromptu vacation to FL!!!
With all this talk about stocks in the news lately it’s made me want to start investing more. Not like the crazies that are in the news, but in an honest, slow growth kind of way.

@bows22 how did the meeting go? That can put you in a tough spot but it sounds like it's a good idea to address since it will eventually fall on you!
@LJMoon6 it's been cold here too. I hear you on the wanting to try out a little investing. I did have to have DH explain it all to me bc it took me a bit to understand the whole situation. But now I'm a little interested!

R/R: DH and I both woke up at our usual leave times so that wasn't a great start. The snowstorm yesterday was so strange... some areas got hit hard but then less than 1/2 hour away they saw half the snow. We didn't get as much as expected which is good but I swear the totals are off bc the parking lot at work was an absolute mess this morning. We voted last night to go ahead with a full in-person reopening plan for our district. So we will be fully in person by March 8th. Not sure how I feel about it, but I definitely feel like we had no choice. Immense pressure from the community. Class tonight and another meeting tomorrow mean that the TWW is flying by!
CS/Q: temps still looking great!
Username changed!
She scheduled an ultrasound because my cycles had gotten longer the last couple months... could be the removal of my IUD that sent them a little wacky... it was in for 7 years, or the fact that I gained weight.
I also figured since I met my deductible for the year it wouldn’t hurt to do the ultrasound
