How are you feeling?: So tired, queasy all day every day. I feel just continually hungover all of the time.
Rants/Raves: Just got done with my second consecutive weekend of work travel and phew, I'm glad that's over. I like that job, but it was just a lot. I worked 35 hours in two days Friday-Saturday, in addition to a normal work week last week, and it was just pretty rough. I am so glad to be home and that I don't have any more travel scheduled. I might take some time off this week, and may skip homeschooling this week as well. I shouldn't take time off because I know I'll be relying on my saved up PTO for maternity leave (small business, no paid maternity leave), but I'm just so exhausted.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Wearing a fleece onesie and cuddling up under a cozy blanket while watching youtube videos about sailing.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: blueberry
Upcoming appointments: 2/16
How are you feeling?: my only symptom thus far has been complete and utter exhaustion.
Rants/Raves: it's Monday and it feels like a Monday...
Questions: nothing really
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? definitely snowboarding! We usually spend a ton of time in the mountains since we have a family place in a ski resort town which is only about an hour and half from where we live, but with COVID this year we haven't really been going up and instead sticking to the less "resorty/touristy" areas.
@Aerialmrs props to you for traveling! You deserve a day or two off! @chewie5990 I used to love snowboarding. I haven't been since MH and I started dating really because he doesn't ski or snowboard. Last fall we cleaned out the garage and I finally donated my board and boots after they had been collecting dust for probably 10 years.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a raspberry
Upcoming appointments: 2/10 for virtual intake appointment but I also need to call and schedule a f/u u/s after last weeks
How are you feeling?: so nauseous all the time. I haven't actually thrown up at all but I'm considering asking my ob for something for the nausea so I can feel normal for a day.
Rants/Raves: not much else going on. DS was a beast on Saturday, yesterday was better but not without it's moments. I took him to Costco and to get groceries by myself so MH could attend his meeting and I was utterly exhausted after that.
Questions: none
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? at the moment, sledding. DS loves it! It's so fun to hear him at the end of the hill every time "again!"

@Aerialmrs hungover all the time is a great way to describe it
Rants/Raves: Currently in the middle of a snow storm! I love snow, especially when I don’t have to go to work. I’m putting my two weeks in at my current job tmrw after realizing how unhappy I am there. I have an interview Wednesday but if I don’t get it that’s ok, I just really can’t stand my current job anymore.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I also love snowboarding! My husband skis. Unfortunately I’m not good enough at it to go while pregnant so I guess I’m out this season
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: September 13, 8 weeks today
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a raspberry
Upcoming appointments: March 3 is my intake appointment with the OB/midwife. They don't need to do a dating ultrasound since I had one at the RE and they will get all my labs from my records.
How are you feeling?: Not bad! Very tired and I had some nausea earlier today.
Rants/Raves: We had an early release today and will have a remote half day tomorrow because of the snow. I'm going to take a nap before I get back to work modifying my lesson plans and entering some data. I don't think we're going to get much snow where I live (my school is located in a town with a higher anticipated snowfall), so I'm glad I DH won't have much to shovel. He won't let me do any shoveling now that I'm pregnant.
Questions: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Drinking hot chocolate and watching Netflix. I am NOT an outdoorsy person at all.
@Aerialmrs can’t you get extra PTO or weekdays off for the weekends you work? You should totally get comped for that.
EDD 9/8, 8w5d Size: Raspberry
upcoming appts: feb 12 and will do NIPT then. I am also attempting to find a closer doc but have had a hard time finding good options with reasonable dates. also need to schedule my nuchal for EOM.
Feeling: like garbage with a bad attitude. I hate everything, always feel like crying. Eating is essential but miserable. I only enjoy sleeping and laying on the couch.
Rants/raves: due to the snow, I’ve got both kids home today and tomorrow while also WFH. And we’ve got a shit ton of snow, not that I’ll be shoveling.
questions: wheeeeeennn will this end??? (Rhetorical really)
GTKY: I don’t love the cold. Probably watching the snow fall. And maybe sledding but it’s been a while.
@krash_ I ended up calling my midwife office for something to take for the nausea before this past weekend's trip, and they suggested the Unisom/B6 combo (which I think I took sometimes with my first pregnancy). It is helping the mornings be more tolerable, but doesn't seem to last all day.
@agea The travel is for a different company than my regular job. A lot of the same people do both, but they are technically separate, so unfortunately I can't comp an extra day or two from that work. I feel you on feeling like garbage and just wanting to cry. Even with the unisom/b6 combo I feel like trash, and I don't want to have to continue to taking it. I also feel guilty for whining about it, but coming here and seeing other whine, too, totally validates my feelings.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: went to my confirmation appointment today and got the official EDD of 9/15, so I’m 7W5D
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: blueberry
Upcoming appointments: today was my first one and I got a little glimpse of the squish, little heart flickering away ❤️ I go back in a few weeks
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling like crap compared to my first pregnancy with my daughter, but not horrible, just some nausea, reflux, and headaches.
Rants/Raves: Nothing comes to mind at the moment
Questions: are any of you having like rock hard constipation poops most days but then like a random day where it seems like your gut is cleaning itself out? That’s happening to me it seems 😐
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I live in FL so winter is mild (compared to the winters I grew up with in NY) but I love being cozy under a warm blanket
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a 2x2 lego brick
Upcoming appointments: Friday I have my first appointment!
How are you feeling?: Wiped out. Crampy.
Rants/Raves: props to my husband for letting me rest while we’re on vacation this week! He’s playing a lot with our 3-year old so I can lay in bed.
Questions: none
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity @mamabearks1012 and @deziraywatt I like being cozy too! In SC we don’t get a lot of winter weather, which is why we’re in Breckenridge, CO right now! Our son is experiencing snow for the first time in his life, and he’s loving sledding.
@Aerialmrs That sounds absolutely exhausting. I can
definitely see wanting to bank PTO days, but you also need to take care of you.
So if your body is saying ‘maybe I need a bit of a rest’ I say take the a PTO
day or two.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast Good for you leaving a job that is
making you unhappy! That was the main reason
I left my last job, and I distinctly remember feeling the tension leave my
shoulders as I was leaving on my last day.
@emeraldduchess I’m now banned from shoveling too. It doesn’t
stop mh from grumbling as he goes out to deal with the snow, but if I even try
to say I want to help I get a very dirty look.
@mamabearks1012 So awesome when you get to see the little
hb! I’m definitely having a similar
bathroom experience happening, and I never know which day will be which.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7+1
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a Lemonhead candy
Upcoming appointments: 2/11 for official intake and
another peek at the little creature
How are you feeling?: Good overall. I get more nauseous
later in the day and it is hitting pretty hard right now.
Rants/Raves: We ordered a cabinet/hutch that I put together
today so we can start clearing things out of the spare room. It used to be the guest room with a closet
full of craft storage, but over the past three years its turned in to ‘the room
of requirement’ and its overflowing with crafts and we can barely get to the
floor. It’s going to be a long process
cleaning it out so we can eventually turn it in to a nursery. This hutch
will be a good start, though I have a feeling we’ll need a few more lol
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Skating. I went
to the local ice arena in SoCal when I was a kid almost weekly. I had my son do
a learn to skate program and he got hooked as well. My husband couldn’t skate
at all, but once our son picked it up I taught him and now we all go skate on
the pond in our neighborhood whenever we can. It’s one of our fave family
activities.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: raspberry

How are you feeling?: Less stressed after today’s US. I haven’t had any nausea or other symptoms is almost a week. My appetite is normal.
Rants/Raves: I wish I had more consistent symptoms so I wasn’t driving myself insane.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? It was sledding but me and my 5 yo had a bad sledding accident where we ended up beneath a van. We are lucky we walked away from it. We went push sledding this past Saturday and it was a lot of fun. My 5 yo was scared and he kept diving off of the sled and we both nearly tumbled into the snow bank. 🙄 I finally told him he couldn’t ride on my push sled because I wanted to have fun and he was keeping me from doing that. So he went and got his own and started zooming away on it.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast good for you for quitting. I have been in that position on a miserable job and quit without giving notice or any back up plan lol sometimes you just gotta gtfo.
@emeraldcity1214 I am also driving myself insane with milder symptoms the past few days. Its such a mind f*ck.

Upcoming appointments: nothing for 3 more weeks the wait is killer.
How are you feeling?: i dont feel good but I feel wayy better than usual the last few days and thats playing a lot of mind tricks and has me anxious.
Rants/Raves: I had a horrible work day today with one particular lady really getting under my skin. She just loves to tell me how to do my job better and is sooo condescending.
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I'm Canadian so I feel like its winter half the year LOL we love tobogganing with the kids, DH and I both used to snowboard but haven't in years. And we do a lot of winter hikes. But I definitely enjoy a cozy blanket and wood burning fire on a cold winter night!
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: EDD 9/20, 7 weeks on the nose!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a dice!
Upcoming appointments: 3/2 at my new OB. Feels so far away!
How are you feeling?: Good overall. Particularly having headaches and neck tension.
Rants/Raves: My parents are finally on the mend!!!! As long as everything stays on the up, I think we’ll be able to see them this weekend and tell them the news. They’ve been quarantined with covid since January 15th.
Questions: Any tips for these hormonal headaches besides constantly popping Tylenol? I know it’s safe to use in pregnancy but I still feel bad 😞
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Walking in the snow and taking pictures! Did some of that today. We have close to 3 feet here in NJ! It’s so wild.
@runningonindie sorry about the headaches. The worst part of pregnancy is not being able to take Advil! I find a cold cloth or ice pack on my forehead helps and a bit of caffeine...small cup of coffee or can of coke will help. If all else fails I just sleep it off.
@Aerialmrs Your work schedule has me exhausted just reading it. I hope you can get some much needed down time.
@chewie5990 DH loves skiing but I’m terrified. He took our oldest daughter a few weeks ago and when he told me he took her up in one of the chairs to the big hill I was so upset. I get so scared for my kids and he is always so relaxed about things like that. 😑
@krash_ I’m sorry you’re feeling so crappy. I had a pregnancy like that and I was miserable the entire time.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast I’m sure it’s a relief to finally make the decision to leave your job if it has made you so unhappy. Good luck with your interview.
@emeraldduchess I had to get out and shovel a ton a few weeks ago. I finally got DH to show me how to use the blower. We also need to get an tool to break up the ice. I had to get out in my spikes and break up the ice that way. My MIL was in town and said she would do it but she literally slipped going out the back door and nearly broke her hip. There was no way I was going to let her get out in the drive with the thick layer of ice we had.
@agea aI will be getting the NIPT at my upcoming appointment and anxious for the reassurance. I’m also getting the nuchal scan and buy that will be done on a later date.
@deziraywatt I have always hated the cold. I’m actually allergic to it and I get hives and sometimes a severe reaction to it were I feel physically sick for a few days. Ironically, I live in Alaska. 😆 I have never spent much time in it below zero but even at 0 I can feel my body protesting after about half an hour and then I get body aches.
@mamabearks1012 I always get super constipated at some point. The diarrhea is actually MS. MS is basically a stomach bug that won’t go away and it can come from both ends. Diarrhea doesn’t get talked about as much as the other symptoms. 🤷🏻♀️
@williams-Jens I’m glad you have had some time to lay and rest.
@grizzlymama86 we have been in our house since June and I just unpacked all the craft boxes in my craft room. 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t know why I put it off and never did it but DH mentioned I must not need a craft room so I got busy and started organizing. 😆
@runningonindie aw, such a relief that your parents are doing ok and are almost recovered!
I will just agree with everyone else who feels exhausted and/or terrible, as I feel like garbage most of the time. I actually do not remember this phase at all, except for a few distant memories here and there, from my previous 2 pregnancies. Wondering if I just blocked out the bad memories, lol. I rested a ton over the weekend... do NOT fall into the trap of lounging on the couch! You will never break free of its seductive charms!
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7 weeks
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: blueberry
Upcoming appointments: u/s on the 16th
How are you feeling?: had some energy today but in general have been trying to sleep everywhere. Even my toddler won't let me nap... I tried reading memorized books to him with my eyes closed and he refused to let me close even one eye after a while, lol.
Rants/Raves: Thought I was having a miscarriage this morning so that was a rollercoaster. Feeling relieved right now but also a bit disappointed as I can't do cardio workouts for a little while. Rave: DD who is 3.5 has been amazing this whole time. She was a super tough baby/toddler so I am in shock at how helpful and cooperative she is these days.
Questions: I definitely have some. But, pregnancy brain.
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity?
Haha well our winter weather is... cold dark skies with neverending rain (so much for Canadian snowy winters here). But on the one random snowfall we get each year, I love tobogganing.
@runningonindie I've been terrible about participating lately (awful nausea), but I discovered excedrin tension headache. No asprin but it has acetaminophen and only 65 mg of caffine (in a single pill). Together it works amazing.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A blueberry
Upcoming appointments: First appointment is February 23
How are you feeling?: Nauseous all the time, no appetite, and aversions to most foods, exhausted and falling asleep everywhere.
Rants/Raves:
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I love skating. I used to ski quite a bit but it's been a very long time. I would love to try snowboarding sometime. Whenever there's alot of snow, I like to just lay down in the snow and just chill. I used to do this alot as a kid, it would get dark shortly after getting home from school. I would just go lay in my front yard and listen to the sounds of the village I lived in, and watch the snowflakes fall down.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a pecan
Upcoming appointments: February 17th
How are you feeling?: Morning sickness hit hard this week!! I could keep anything down this weekend. Yesterday was a little better so hopefully today is the same
Rants/Raves: nothing
Questions: Anyone else feeling eh about baby names? I’m just not interested in them right now lol maybe it will change once we know the sex
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Traveling somewhere warm 🤣
@emeraldcity1214 we took our 5 year old on the big lift for the first time this year - actually for his fifth birthday! I was nervous the entire time..It was a SUPER slow ride down the mountain, but he loved it! My husband is way more relaxed about that kind of stuff too - my mind always goes to the worst case scenario, but I think that's just being a mom
@ladylynn222 I feel pretty blah about names... I talked about it with DH and we’re coming up blank. I also haven’t had my first appointment yet so maybe that’s part of it
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a raspberry
Upcoming appointments: February 4, confirmation and dating US, followed my second dose of COVID vaccine
How are you feeling?: Exhaustion, sore breasts, major food aversions, and nausea. I started taking B-6 and Unisom at the advice of my OB and that has helped with the nausea.
Rants/Raves: I have no energy to work out. Like none which is also so unlike me.
Questions: nope!
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Making all the comfort foods!
M14 January Siggy Challenge: Resolution I have no intention of keeping...SHOPPING LESS!
@Aerialmrs being exhausted from travel is a totally valid reason to take at least one PTO day to recover!
@whatabout2ndbreakfast I’m glad you feel like you’re making a positive change! Life is too short to be stuck in a terrible job. Are you doing a full career change or just looking for a workplace change?
@mamabearks1012 I am 100% with you on being constipated for days and then very much not constipated. It’s the worst haha.
@grizzlymama86 I can’t skate to save my life, so I have total respect that your family does it all together, that’s so fun!
@emeraldcity1214 I’m glad that you’re feeling better after your u/s!
@runningonindie wow you must be way up north! I’m in south jersey and we got maybe 8-10 inches. I heard that north jersey got slammed though!
@ladylynn222 DH and I are definitely not ready to start talking about baby names seriously, so I’m with you on feeling “blah” about them. We are team green, so we are going to have to come up with a boy and girl name! I think we will be able to focus on it better in the second tri. Right now we are for sure just in survival mode.
@Jcrewgirl85 good luck with your second shot! I go to get my second dose on 2/20.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 9/11 8+3
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby could fit on a penny!
Upcoming appointments: Thursday for my first u/s with my OB to check on the SCH that my RE found
How are you feeling?: ughhh. That is all. I have no energy (my but guys my insomnia has improved!), and I’m queasy all day long. Luckily not actually getting sick, but I can’t smell or eat basically anything. It’s so annoying. I had to kick DH out of the room I was in because he was eating jambalaya for lunch. DH and I keep talking about this mythical time when I will like food again and I cannot wait haha. Other than that, I’m just having the craziest dreams! They are so funny.
Rants/Raves: We had a real snow day yesterday, and then a virtual day today which was nice. DH went out and shoveled all the snow by himself. I felt bad but I also figured shoveling snow would not qualify as “taking it easy”. Perk for him: he shoveled our elderly neighbors sidewalk/driveway (just because he’s nice and no one had come to do it), and she gifted him a bottle of wine!
Questions: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Among all the snowboarders here, dare I say I love to ski! I grew up going to CO once a year with my family, and then DH and I have started to go to VT for the past couple years since it’s just about as good as you can get on the east coast. I’m honestly a huge snob about most ski mountains that are drivable here, so we don’t go a ton. That being said, winter is largely not my thing and when I’m home during the winter I like looking at the snow from inside. Maybe an occasional snowball fight 😂
@runningoncookies A workplace! I actually career changed 2ish years ago after I completed all my school and clinicals to become a dietitian. I’m working mental health right now and it is just not for me. The amount of staff injuries (some serious!) is way more than I expected and some of the policies are really questionable. Sometimes I run group with 24 patients alone. It’s crazy and stressful. I switched to this job just over 6 months ago for the flexible schedule but it’s not worth it, especially not pregnant
@runningonindie One of my headache tricks is to take a shower in the dark. It’s super relaxing.
@emeraldcity1214 My symptoms have been really inconsistent. Every time they go away, I get nervous. And then I’ll have a day of feeling like garbage and miss when I felt so good. Glad your u/s gave you some peace of mind!
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 8w6d
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a raspberry
Upcoming appointments: None yet I followed up with my RE today and was told that the referrals normally take 2-3 weeks, and then I’m not sure how long it’s going to take to actually get the appointment. My primary care physician retired last January and I’ve been on the list to be a patient of another one in my city, but haven’t gone in because of the pandemic. I called today and hopefully can get seen by him at least while I wait for the OB
How are you feeling?: Tired, gassy.
Rants/Raves: Huge shout out to naps. I’ve taken to napping on my lunch break when I wfh and it’s amazing.
Questions: None right now
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I love skating outdoors. I’m not super comfortable going this year (on top of the pregnancy, I’m also asthmatic, so I tend to be extra cautious about COVID) and I miss it. Otherwise, I’m mostly a cozy-at-home person. I usually love baking in the winter but I still have an aversion to sweet food, so haven’t been doing much of that either.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 9/6 I think 9+1 today?
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a cherry
Upcoming appointments: my rescheduled intake appointment is in 2/11, then I imagine we’ll be scrambling for the nuchal translucency ultrasound right after
How are you feeling?: EXHAUSTED. I just feel like butthole 100% of the time. I keep pushing through it, but I need a nap almost every day.
Rants/Raves: love the upspring anti-nausea drops I got from target. I was struggling hard with nausea from smelling everything I’d had to eat or drink in my mask at work and they have been lifesavers.
We also got hit with the nor’easter snow this week and DH and I have been taking turns shoveling. I was absolutely miserable out there at 5am shoveling my car out for work yesterday, but fortunately I was not scheduled today so we got to take it a little more easy.
Questions: Anybody have a bassinet they love? My last two babies were reflux-y and slept their first 2-3 months in a rock-n-play which is since discontinued (and ours has seen better days for sure). Time to update for us.
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I actually enjoy shoveling up to a point. It’s very satisfying to get that immediate gratification for your effort, and my kids play while I do it most days, and I don’t have to fit in a workout after!
@cassafrass123 I’m in the same boat with the rock n play..... ours is in good condition but I feel bad using it for night sleep now knowing it’s been recalled. That thing was a literal lifesaver for us.
@runningoncookies we’re more central but we definitely got slammed!!!! It finally stopped.
We had a rock n play but DS never liked it. I am a stickler for safe sleep but I wont go into my thoughts and opinions on the rock n play but I just wanted to add that if you have one, even a used or very old one, Target is still taking them back to be recycled/disposed of and they will do it as a return and give you a gift card. They basically try to find one that is similar to the one you have for value and do the return. We had one with the auto rocking and vibration so I got like $90 back in a gift card. I don't even think it was bought at Target.

How are you feeling?: Queasiness comes and goes. It seems to be worse on the weekends. WHY???
Rants/Raves: The one perk of being pregnant in a pandemic is working so much form home. I go to the office twice a week. The other three days, I'm thankful for stretchy PJ pants (especially the stars above lounge pants from target) and naps during lunch.

GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Staying inside cozy and warm
@mamabearks1012 Add me to the rock hard club! I pulled out colace and pickles last week (giant dill pickles with a large glass of water can act like a stool softener).
It was fixed this week when my husband picked up chipotle for dinner.
@marymh80 I swear my nausea is also worse on weekends! I think my body subconsciously knows that my husband isn’t working so I have help and therefore I can chill more. 🤷🏻♀️

GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? does staying inside count? I hate being outside in the cold and snow
@krash_ thanks for the info! I used a RnP with my son even though I knew I shouldn't because I was desperate but will not be using it this time. It's been in my basement for almost 4 years so even if I could get a tiny bit it's better than tossing it.
@aerialmrs My goodness that does sound like an exhausting
work schedule! I think you have absolutely earned some time off. @chewie5990 It’s Thursday now and still feels like a Monday
to me. Probably because I strongly agree about the complete and utter
exhaustion! Phew!
@krash_ Every OB is different, but with my last pregnancy
they refused to give me anything for the nausea and vomiting until I got
diagnosed with HG in second tri. It was awful. Anything in first tri they
consider “normal symptoms” and don’t want to treat it. I hope you have more
luck! @whatabout2ndbreakfast Proud of you for quitting a job you
can’t stand. FX for something great that fulfills you around the corner! @emeraldduchess I feel your sentiments about DH. Mine also keeps trying to
block me out of helping at all. I would argue, but I am too busy sleeping all
the time lol @agea I am a firm believer that the antiquated idea that
women should be beaming piles of positivity while pregnant is full of shit. It’s
100% ok to feel “like garbage with a bad attitude”. But for your sake – I hope
it gets better soon! @mamabearks1012 Congrats on getting to see little squish!!! Also,
yes to all the fecal matters – happening over here too. @williams-jen How exciting that your son is experiencing
snow for the first time!!! And 3yo is SUCH a great time for that!!!! @grizzlymama86 major props for that Harry Potter reference.
It made me giggle. @emeraldcity1214 That does sound scary! I’m glad you are both
fine now and even learning how to love sledding again!

@chewie5990 I used to love snowboarding. I haven't been since MH and I started dating really because he doesn't ski or snowboard. Last fall we cleaned out the garage and I finally donated my board and boots after they had been collecting dust for probably 10 years.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: EDD 9/18 7+2

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Pomegranate seed
Upcoming appointments: 3/2 intake appointment and 3/16 first in person (seems so far away!)
EDD 9/8, 8w5d
Size: Raspberry
upcoming appts: feb 12 and will do NIPT then.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: pygmy seahorse
Upcoming appointments: none at the moment just waiting for my OB to call.
How are you feeling?: Absolutely and unforgivingly exhausted.
Rants/Raves: none.
Questions:none.
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Being cozy. I can't stand the cold.
I can definitely see wanting to bank PTO days, but you also need to take care of you. So if your body is saying ‘maybe I need a bit of a rest’ I say take the a PTO day or two.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast Good for you leaving a job that is making you unhappy! That was the main reason I left my last job, and I distinctly remember feeling the tension leave my shoulders as I was leaving on my last day.
@emeraldduchess I’m now banned from shoveling too. It doesn’t stop mh from grumbling as he goes out to deal with the snow, but if I even try to say I want to help I get a very dirty look.
@mamabearks1012 So awesome when you get to see the little hb! I’m definitely having a similar bathroom experience happening, and I never know which day will be which.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7+1
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a Lemonhead candy
Upcoming appointments: 2/11 for official intake and another peek at the little creature
How are you feeling?: Good overall. I get more nauseous later in the day and it is hitting pretty hard right now.
Rants/Raves: We ordered a cabinet/hutch that I put together today so we can start clearing things out of the spare room. It used to be the guest room with a closet full of craft storage, but over the past three years its turned in to ‘the room of requirement’ and its overflowing with crafts and we can barely get to the floor. It’s going to be a long process cleaning it out so we can eventually turn it in to a nursery. This hutch will be a good start, though I have a feeling we’ll need a few more lol
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Skating. I went to the local ice arena in SoCal when I was a kid almost weekly. I had my son do a learn to skate program and he got hooked as well. My husband couldn’t skate at all, but once our son picked it up I taught him and now we all go skate on the pond in our neighborhood whenever we can. It’s one of our fave family activities.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: raspberry
Upcoming appointments: Feb 18
@emeraldcity1214 I am also driving myself insane with milder symptoms the past few days. Its such a mind f*ck.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 9+2 EDD September 4th
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: baby weighs as much as a penny
@krash_ I’m sorry you’re feeling so crappy. I had a pregnancy like that and I was miserable the entire time.
@emeraldcity1214 My symptoms have been really inconsistent. Every time they go away, I get nervous. And then I’ll have a day of feeling like garbage and miss when I felt so good. Glad your u/s gave you some peace of mind!
@runningoncookies we’re more central but we definitely got slammed!!!! It finally stopped.
DS: 6/1/18 (Pre-E; IUGR; seizures; NICU)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a jack
Upcoming appointments: Ultrasound tomorrow
How are you feeling?: Queasiness comes and goes. It seems to be worse on the weekends. WHY???
Rants/Raves: The one perk of being pregnant in a pandemic is working so much form home. I go to the office twice a week. The other three days, I'm thankful for stretchy PJ pants (especially the stars above lounge pants from target) and naps during lunch.
Questions: None
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Staying inside cozy and warm
It was fixed this week when my husband picked up chipotle for dinner.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a raspberry
Upcoming appointments: first ultrasound & bloodwork tomorrow! Can’t wait!
How are you feeling?: better now that I have a prescription for nausea. I still have rough days here and there but much more manageable than before!
Rants/Raves: none
Questions: none
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? I love a good warm winter day when you can do a fire and skating and playing in the snow without freezing your behind off! I’m not a big fan of super cold winter weather
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 9 weeks, Sept. 8th
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Eastern tailed-blue butterfly
Upcoming appointments: I have a virtual visit with an OB nurse where she goes over all the dos and don'ts on the 9th and then my first official midwife appointment on the 11th
How are you feeling?: Still a bit nervous but better now that I've had two ultrasounds and last week's was really good. Physically, I've felt incredibly bloated. I feel like sometimes I eat something small and feel like I've eaten a four course meal.
Rants/Raves: none
Questions: none
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? does staying inside count? I hate being outside in the cold and snow
@krash_ thanks for the info! I used a RnP with my son even though I knew I shouldn't because I was desperate but will not be using it this time. It's been in my basement for almost 4 years so even if I could get a tiny bit it's better than tossing it.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Lego person - that one was pretty cool lol
Upcoming appointments: Won't see my OB again until February 15th. Tomorrow I get the first COVID vaccine.
How are you feeling?: The nausea is dissipating a bit. The fatigue is still in full swing
GTKY: What is your favorite winter activity? Is "having an excuse to curl up under warm blankets and watch movies" count? lol.
We don't get a lot of snow here, but we usually get 1-2 days a winter. When t happens, we absolutely do ALL the snow things.
@aerialmrs My goodness that does sound like an exhausting work schedule! I think you have absolutely earned some time off.
@chewie5990 It’s Thursday now and still feels like a Monday to me. Probably because I strongly agree about the complete and utter exhaustion! Phew!
@krash_ Every OB is different, but with my last pregnancy they refused to give me anything for the nausea and vomiting until I got diagnosed with HG in second tri. It was awful. Anything in first tri they consider “normal symptoms” and don’t want to treat it. I hope you have more luck!
@whatabout2ndbreakfast Proud of you for quitting a job you can’t stand. FX for something great that fulfills you around the corner!
@emeraldduchess I feel your sentiments about DH. Mine also keeps trying to block me out of helping at all. I would argue, but I am too busy sleeping all the time lol
@agea I am a firm believer that the antiquated idea that women should be beaming piles of positivity while pregnant is full of shit. It’s 100% ok to feel “like garbage with a bad attitude”. But for your sake – I hope it gets better soon!
@mamabearks1012 Congrats on getting to see little squish!!! Also, yes to all the fecal matters – happening over here too.
@williams-jen How exciting that your son is experiencing snow for the first time!!! And 3yo is SUCH a great time for that!!!!
@grizzlymama86 major props for that Harry Potter reference. It made me giggle.
@emeraldcity1214 That does sound scary! I’m glad you are both fine now and even learning how to love sledding again!
I’ll be back for more tags. I’m slow this week.
