I just found out that my friends' infant (she's not even 1 month old yet) was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday because she stopped breathing while she was sleeping. She's in the NICU until Friday and hasn't had any repeat episodes, so she's doing ok. I just can't imagine the fear they must have felt when they found her not breathing. So anyway, if you ladies could just keep my friends and their baby in your thoughts and prayers, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

That is so scary, I have taken care of a few infants like this. It actually has ?a name, it is called ALTE, and it can be so scary for not only the parents, but as health care providers too. No one wants to see a infant stop breathing.
The good news for your friend is that it usually has good outcomes. Sometimes they find a cause for it, but many times it is not known what the cause was.
I will keep your friend and her baby in my thoughts.?

They will definitely be in my prayers. The same thing happened to DD when she was a couple weeks old. We had to have her in the hospital for a week. Come to find out, her formula was causing her to choke. We were able to get her on the right meds and formula and she never had any repeats. I'm praying that your friends have a great outcome!
