Hello! It has been a while since I have participated (thank you retail holiday) so I am going to re-intro and jump back into some threads.
Ages (you and SO): 36 and 39
How many months have you been TTC?: Since June 2020. Started and in progress doing the IF workup with my OB.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPK, HIO, PNV, CM and now some testing. We have done the blood draws and they are all good. Going in for a sonohysterogram on 2/1.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I am an exec running a big box retail store and have been with my current company for 12 years and love working with teams and developing future leaders. I have been married to my SO for a little over 3 years (we dated in high school and college, took a hiatus, got back together 6 years ago) and we have a DD who is 2.5. I participated in TTGP for the 2 months it took to conceive DD and then was active in her BMB that carried over to FB (but kind of tapered off activity due to life). In some spare time I do have I like to read and make things with my Cricut as well as go to Disney on days off with a couple of my girlfriends. I'm also a big foodie and have an appreciation for good red wine and craft beer.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Au natural
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) we have 2 DD one just turned 5yrs and the other will turn 3 in February. We started living our dream this past summer when we bought our 20 acre farm, house isn’t quite what we had in mind but still very happy. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats(1 is a hilarious barn cat), 28 chickens and 9 ducks. I work as a licensed vet tech in a busy small animal clinic, my husband is a line factory cook. He makes sauces(syrup, BBQ, and other sauces) mainly for Walmart. I am a big reader and live the outdoors but currently been super busy with work. Recently got over Covid and hope it didn’t screw up my chances this past month.
Welcome @farmfamily21! Your farm living situation sounds amazing! I'm sorry that you contracted Covid. Did you get really sick? Getting covid in pregnancy is really bad (especially if there's fever/hospitalization required). However, everything that I heard/read shows no impact on a future pregnancy.
We are were very blessed. DH got sick first only for about 24-36hrs so we thought just a cold, then about 4-5days later the exact some thing happened to me and I was sick feeling on a Monday, low grade fever. I was 75% better on Tuesday so I didn’t get tested because I was doing so much better the next day. Then friday(felt fine Tuesday on just congestion) and suddenly lost taste and smell, rapid test that night was positive. Aside from congestion I have been fine. Both DD were not affected by thankfully.

This makes me feel better, since my doc said actually he can't recall any pregnant patients who had gotten over covid, just ones who had it while pregnant. I've had symptoms come and go for 9 months now!
How many months have you been TTC?: I can't post images/GIFs yet... so... Read this in your best old lady from the Titanic voice... "It's been 84 years..."
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I currently have an IUD that came directly from Satan himself. Since DH is still not considering adoption, and the medical wisdom of this world have refused me a hysterectomy, and yet part of my soul still clings to the thought of a baby apparently, I live out my life purpose to help people with MC/TTCAL questions and spewing hatred towards peggies as it keeps my soul burning in preparation for my afterlife.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have 2 beautiful and amazing rough collies that are my children. I embody the meme of "I'm a lady, but when I'm mad/angry, I'm an evil, sadistic, demon-spawned biotch from hell that will make you wish you were never born... and when I'm happy, I bake cookies and shyte." I also embody the meme "I don't spew obscenities, I enunciate them, like a f*cking lady!"
Hi everyone! I actually introduced myself here sometime last year, but was never super active and never really had much to say, but now I'm back. I need support for sure. Ugh.
Ages (you and SO): I'm almost 39, he's 40.
How many months have you been TTC?: I mean, 12 I guess? (TW: we've suffered two losses, so it's been off and on I suppose.)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I started day 1 of IVF meds yesterday, so yeah - we've gone straight there.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I'm a stay at home mom (literally, all we do is stay at home. Thanks, Covid!) with 2 boys, ages 4 and 2. Yeah. Homeschooling a 4 year old with a 2 year old throwing stuff everywhere is interesting, to say the least! But I luckily have a lot of help from my MIL. We have two old Miniature Schnauzers that would probably maul me if I told them we were trying for a third. Luckily they're so old, they have 25 teeth between the two of them, so I think I'd come out of it alright. We live in the SF Bay Area, and I used to be a high school history and Econ teacher, so I sit around watching political news all day to keep up with content and prevent my brain from turning into mush. Sort of. Hobbies? Crochet and TV. It used to be campaign volunteering but again, thanks, Covid. I also like podcasts a lot. Ooh, Peloton! That's my main hobby. See, there's the brain mush.
@Lisa3379 Welcome to TTGP! Feel free to join us in the weekly IF thread. Good luck with your IVF cycle! Btw, I'm also in the Bay Area (SF proper). Would love to know which clinic you're at! (I've been making my rounds.)
@acleverusername Hi! Just posted there I'm sure I will have a lot to talk about as I navigate all these meds. I'm at RMA in Palo Alto, but they also have a location in SF (that's where I think the egg retrieval is done). You?
@Lisa3379 welcome! Also a peloton fanatic over here (though I’m just an app user) and current English teacher. DH is a history teacher so between the two of us there’s a lot of political content watching going on in our house!
@fameonmain2 Nice, let's be Pelo-buddies, haha! Except I'll be off the bike for a couple weeks or so because of IVF. And yay for fellow teachers! I miss it so much. One day I'll go back for sure.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: HIO, PNV
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) One child, 15 months. We decided it’s go time for #2! It took 8 cycles with our first child and I was a lurker of this board (maybe I shouldn’t have admitted that). I got a lot of great advice just from reading others experiences. I decided maybe this time I’ll stop lurking and join in! I work at an insurance company and have been working from home for almost a year now. I love it! I really should get a hobby...I never know what to say. I enjoy working out, but don’t prioritize it like I should. I enjoy reality tv and my husband gives me such a hard time about it, but he seems to know a lot about the shows for poking fun.
@sammygirl18 welcome! We love our lurkers here since you guys know and follow all the rules! I hope your stay here is short but sweet. Also lol @ YH who seems to know too much about your reality TV shows.
