Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Friday 1/29

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Re: TWW Friday 1/29

  • Month/Cycle: 0/0?

    CD/DPO: 28/11

    Timing: doesn’t matter

    Typical LP length: ~13

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: Today is DH’s birthday so I’m not sure how much I’ll be on today. As we’re in lockdown, the only thing we’re allowed to do is go for a walk around the neighborhood which we do everyday anyway lol we might be sneaky and DRIVE somewhere nicer to walk to 🤫 as of right now, our plans are to make a Victoria sponge cake and some homemade lasagna. So who knows. I may have time to pop on here later when I’m sure he’ll play some video games with his friends. But just in case, sorry for posting and ghosting.

    CS/Q: not yet

  • @jackie_dunny HBD to YH! Enjoy your day! When you say “homemade lasagna”, do you mean you’ll make pasta from scratch?

    Month/Cycle: 12/13

    CD/DPO: 16/2

    Timing: -4,-3, O(IUI), +1

Typical LP length: last cycle I eked out a 14 day LP without progesterone so hoping for a repeat!

    Testing: 10DPO (2/7)

R/R: rave — actually felt somewhat productive at work yesterday. I’ve blocked most of my day today hoping for a repeat. Just have 2 meeting. That said, I have a cardiology appointment today for an routine echocardiogram, so that will eat into my productive time.

Rant — won’t give specifics here but my fertility clinic made a mistake that had material impact on our treatment. So, MH and I are trying to figure out our options.

    CS/Q: nope

@acleverusername we were going to make the lasagna sheets from scratch but DH decided against it. I hope you have another productive day and your routine appointment goes well! I’m sorry your clinic messed things up for you and I hope you can sort it out still

  • Month/Cycle: 2

    CD/DPO: 43/???

    Timing:

    Typical LP length: varies

Testing: probably tomorrow, but pretty sure it will be negative

R/R: rant, It has been along time since I have been off BC to get pregnant *second baby a surprise BC baby* so it’s been 6+ since I have been off Birth control to get pregnant. In college and high school I would always skip AF in the winter usually in January, so I’m 75% certain that is why I haven’t started yet  FYI I have tested when I though I would start 1/16-23 and all negative, if still negative and haven’t started soon I will definitely talk with my doctor. So annoying because I just want AF if not so that we can get back to trying!

    CS/Q:

  • @farmfamily21 that’s so strange about always skipping January. Are you normally quite stressed around the holidays? Also, I’m curious about your varied LP. How much does it vary for you? Hopefully you get AF soon and don’t have to go to your doctors 🤞🏻

  • Back in college periods could vary between every 4.5-6weeks. Took 8 months to get pregnant with 1st DD, I think part was because it was hard for me to predict when I was going to ovulate even with OPKs, also I think our first took awhile due to not much BDing for other reasons. My moms side has a HX of endometriosis but my OB never saw any signs with me during all of my exams and ultrasounds.
  • @farmfamily21 That sux that your AF isn't showing up. Your doctor _could_ prescribe you Provera to trigger your period. Interesting connection between what used to happen in college. I remember reading somewhere that cycles tend to mimic cycles from same time in prior years, and I totally noticed that my July cycle is usually exceptionally short, year over year.

  • **lurking from wto**

@farmfamily21 that’s so fascinating that it always happens around this month. When you say you skip your period, do you think it’s an an-o?

    *TW*
Also, and I hope no one minds if I say this, just a friendly reminder that mentions of of LCs should have a trigger warning and if possible be placed in a spoiler when posting in WTO and TWW. I know you were continuing what you said in your earlier post, but I know the TWs help me personally and I’m sure others a lot if I’m having a particularly rough day.

  • The last few years I've been late in sept/oct too! So weird!
