  I might be a terrible person, but the litany of beloved media and entertainment figures we have lost this week brings up something that really irks me - referring to the death of an elderly person as "tragic." I'm sorry, it is sad, and we mourn them, but passing away well into yours 80s and 90s is not tragic. We should all live to be that old and maintain a semblance of physical and mental health. The 430k+ deaths lost to Covid is tragic. Both of my grandmothers passing away in their 40s and 50s, never seeing their children marry or meeting their grandchildren, or a child/teenager dying, that is tragic.

  @fifilala516 I don't think that makes you a terrible person. I agree with your thinking. Dying in a horrible manner or at a young age is tragic. Dying when you're 80/90 due to natural causes of old age is like you said - sad, but not tragic. It's an interesting conversation over proper use of words or how something should be described. I've read that there's some debate over whether saying someone is battling/fighting/beat cancer is... not necessarily insensitive, but just terminology that people want to move away from. I don't remember the reasoning but it made sense when I was reading about it.

  Yes, and I should have clarified - an elderly person dying of natural causes is what I mean by "sad, but not tragic." I think an elderly (or anyone, really) person dying of Covid or something that could have been prevented is indeed tragic.
  
  It reminds me of a news story I saw a few years ago - an original Disney animator had died at 105, and the article said "no details were immediately available." And I thought, "...he was 105? Those are the details you need."

  October 2015 - 1st MC.  7-8 weeks along. Suspected molar PG, but luckily just a MMC.

  June 2016 - 2nd MC: 4-5 weeks CP

  September 2016 - 3rd MC: 4-5 weeks CP

  RE 1: ALL the testing - 'unexplained'  "Yinz can do IVF or try on your own"

  Feb 2017 - 4th MC: 6 weeks

  RE 2: More tests. Still 'unexplained.'  Called fat for an entire hour-long appointment, cried a lot

  Feb 2019 - 5th MC: 6-7 weeks

  IUD - March 2019-March 2023

  RE 3:  Repeat all the tests. Hoping to try IVF.
