bumper pads

Does anyone have bumper pads in their crib and at what age is it considered safe to have them in the crib?

Re: bumper pads

  • I know they are a no no. But I lived with them so I use them, I don't want him getting hands and feet stuck out of the crib. He moves a lot.

  • We currently don't have them in our cribs. But then again, our girls do not move at all. I think around 6 months or so it is considered safer to put them on.
  • DS has one in his crib.  He always has his head on the crib slats and I didn't want him hurting his head because of it.  .
  • We just took the bumpers out because Heidi just moved into her crib at night the other day.  We plan on putting them back in when she's 6 months old.

  • we had them in until a couple weeks ago when he started moving around like crazy.  no plans for putting them back in, although we may get a breathable bumper if his ams/legs start getting stuck frequently.  his head is usually up against the crib at some point in the night but i really dont think its a danger to him, it doesn't 'bang' up against the crib.

  • I had them in there when DD wasn't moving much. ?when she started rolling and moving in her sleep then we started using the breathable bumpers. ?
  • We've had breathable bumpers the entire time she's been in her crib.  She can now rotate 180*!

  • My little Monkey is 3 months old and we have used the bumpers in his crib since he was born but since he is moving so much we may be taking them out soon.
  • We just removed ours this past weekend and put the breathable ones up.
  • I am leaving them in until she starts using them to climb out of the crib.
