I think I’m a C4. I take my coffee with cream and sugar. I used to be closer to like a D2, heavy on the cream, but then I started buying good coffee from a local roaster and that made a big difference!
When I go out for coffee, I am actually more likely to order a London fog than a coffee or espresso based drink. But I do like a good flat white!
I’m also a big tea drinker. Ginger tea has been my go-to recently, even in place of coffee, because I’ve actually had a big coffee aversion 😩
I think I'm an E5 but also not sure this chart makes sense? Which is the sugar... maybe I'm just too tired to figure it out. But generally 1 milk 1 sugar. I used to be a D4 but could never go back to cream in my coffee.
I usually get a cappuccino with an extra shot when I go out. When I was working an office job I probably have 4 or 5 cups a day, but am generally down to one when working in the field. But none these days, just no desire.
Admission: I've never tried a London Fog. The idea of them just weirded me out when my friends started getting them.
My coffee obsession started when my friend's parents opened a cafe when we were about 17, and my friend would always make me an iced caramel vanilla latte. We had some great memories in that place.
God I miss going to coffee shops. So much of my 20s was either in a coffee shop or a bar.
@doodlemom131 I’m the opposite. Studying for my boards made me loath coffee shops. One beautiful spot in particular makes me nauseas because I walk in there and immediately get transported back to the ball of anxiety I was while studying.
F6 for me! Black coffee just makes things easy. Thankfully coffee doesn’t taste that great to me during pregnancy so I’m not fighting the caffeine demon.
FFFC- I have no clue what a London fog is. Off to google!
FFFC 2.0- I’m not a fan of Starbucks coffee. It is too bitter/burnt for me.
@surrenderdorothy I can see you on the Starbucks, their coffee isn't great, but I find their espresso beverages fine. I've had a lot of burnt cappuccinos in my day so I like their consistently.
@doodlemom131 I think it’s more about the colour rather than knowing exactly what they put in the cup hahaha.
@surrenderdorothy you’ve probably already found the answer, but a London fog is Earl Grey tea with frothed milk and vanilla syrup. I think some places classify them as a tea latte? My favourite coffee shop here makes it with a lavender syrup. It’s so luxurious.
I'm a D2. Used to be half and half, but now soy milk as I'm df. I can't stand earl grey tea, but love english breakfast. About a year ago we switch to drinking black tea in the morning as it seems to wake us up better.
I'm about an F2. I used to drink my coffee black but had stomach problems so now I put a spot of milk in it. I rarely drink any fancy coffee. I genuinely prefer simple coffee (not too strong, not flavored, no sugar) with a little milk, piping hot. I do like tea as well but herbal ones, as a treat. Nothing in my tea, just plain. I used to drink A LOT of coffee during the day, eventually cut back to "just" three cups in the morning, then two, and finally about a year ago got down to 1 cup a day at my doctor's recommendation to help with migraines. So I have one normal cup and one decaf cup every day. I use a Keurig because it makes it nice and hot. My wife doesn't really drink coffee much anymore due caffeine causing estrogen production so her oncologist made her stop, so the Keurig is easier since it's mostly just me.
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
I also don’t drink coffee. I’m SUPER sensitive to caffeine. I can’t even do soda. Or tea. It makes me SO jittery! Water for me. And if I’m feeling fancy, sparkling water. 😂
when I “treat myself” I love a sweet and creamy latte - around Christmas I definitely over indulged in the chestnut praline latte from Starbucks. I also love a vanilla latte with coconut milk. I probably have about 12 different syrup flavors at my house for lattes thanks to a tjmaxx addiction.
When I’m actively fasting (I was an alternate day faster for about a year before I got pregnant), I drink coffee black. I prefer iced coffee when drinking black and brew my own cold brew. My husband got very into making a drink of half coldbrew and half flavorless sparking water last summer.
When I started fasting I definitely learned to appreciate the quality of good coffee beans. We do pour overs at home with beans from a local roaster and it’s the only way I can tolerate black coffee. I’ve never fallen in love with it like people swear you do, and it never stopped me from loving a sweet drink.
Since pregnant, coffee/lattes have had zero appeal, which is sad because I got my sister a nice espresso machine for Christmas and she lives with us. I also got some half-caff coffee for Christmas but it just doesn’t sound good 🤷🏻♀️ Lots of tea for me lately - my favorite is Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice!
i used to be a coffee addict. a few months into TTC i gave up coffee for two reasons. first, i don't drink coffee when pregnant/ cant handle when sick the first trimester, so i didn't want a huge caffeine withdrawal. second, i was noticing i was more moody with my kids when drinking it (aka, yelling more). so i quit. i did breakfast tea for a while but don't love it. now i dont do anything. i'll probably start drinking coffee again postpartum. and black only.
When I’m having coffee at home/at someone’s house, I’m definitely an F6! My whole family are black coffee drinkers so I just got in the habit due to cream/milk and sugar never being made readily available. I don’t drink coffee on a regular basis at home though.
I love Starbucks lattes- I know they aren’t even that great quality but they are just like a comfort thing at this point. My absolute favorite is their chai latte... not exceptional tea, definitely not exceptional chai spices, but I have so many good associations with that particular flavor at this point.
@jaxalia I also got really into the chestnut praline latte over the Christmas season! Usually I go for the peppermint mocha but that was a little too sweet for my tastes now, so I gave the chestnut praline a try and didn’t look back.
I'm about a D4. I started drinking coffee after working in coffee shops while I was in college. At the beginning of this pregnancy, I had a coffee aversion, but I'm drinking about one small cup a day now. Prior to pregnancy, my go to beverage was an iced coffee (no matter the weather) with a splash of cream. That still doesn't sound appetizing, however.
I guess I’m d4, but I agree that the chart doesn’t make a lot of sense as a square, it could just be a line unless one side is sugar.
I get iced coffee all year round. My go to is iced coffee with a splash of soy milk and lightly sweetened ( one pump simple syrup). One of the few places I go is the coffee shop in our neighborhood. They built a little pickup window and there’s lots of outdoor space for kids to run around at the train station that’s not running anymore. It’s our main outing when we go for our daily walk. I’ve been doing half cafs. Wheni make it at home I put moka pot espresso over ice. I mix decaf and caffeinated beans.
I like those D3 D4 middle guys. But haven’t wanted coffee at all the last month and have felt sick the times I had it anyway as a “comfort drink”.
I do enjoy lattes, plain with no flavors. Or, if I do get a flavor I have to ask for just one pump of syrup so the whole thing doesn’t just taste like syrup.

I have a lot to say about coffee 🥰

Im really sensitive to caffeine so I drink 8oz of diet soda a day and that’s it.
I'm like an F1 (assuming the # is the amount of sugar) I used to use a ton of sugar but we switched to grinding our beans and it's so delicious now.
When I'm out I will either get a Tea misto or Macha latte. I'm not a huge fan of espresso
Tea drinker all the way.
