goals: to stay active and gain minimal weight if possible. I lost 70lbs 2 years before this pregnancy and really wanting to not just let it go. Goal is to workout 5 days a week until I deliver!

current successes: that I am alive 😂 this is my third baby and I had some minor nausea with my first two...this one has totally kicked my butt. I vomit multiple times a day and have went to prescription nausea meds just so I can go to work (labor and delivery RN, night shift). I went from working out 6 days a week to nothing for the last 5 weeks. I have tried to take walks but it only results to puking. But this week, I have actually worked out 3 times. So I’m calling that a win. Was it a good workout? No. But it felt good moving my body a little bit.

challenges: has been the nausea and vomiting. Also, I am SUPER competitive and do CrossFit. So I’ve gone to the gym and watched the girls I usually compete with and I feel so weak now after not lifting anything for 5 weeks and I’m jealous of them moving. But I know it’s worth it and I’ll get back to it once I meet this babe 💙

Questions: anyone else into fitness? Any crossfitters here?? I am not like hardcore. I’m still a little fluffy but I was pretty dedicated for several years haha

  • bard37 oh yikes, so sorry to hear the nausea and vomitting is so bad! But good you were able to get a few workouts in recently.

I used to be very into fitness as a college athlete and then did a triathlon...then got really lazy lol. Recently got back into it through the Peloton app, but nausea for the past two weeks knocked me out of the game. Finally got a workout in this morning for 20 minutes that was moderate and it felt good.

What are your goals throughout your pregnancy?
-Stay active and try to work out at least 3-4 days a week
-Drink more water and make healthy food choices

What current successes have you accomplished?
-This week, for the first time in two weeks, I did a 20 minute cycling workout! That was a sad, but huge accomplishment
-I also ate a healthy dinner and breakfast

    What challenges are you facing?
-Nausea and fatigue hit me hard at 6 weeks and knocked me off the workout wagon. Hoping to get back on soon.

    Questions/Rants/Raves:
  • @bard37 i'm sorry you feel so yucky! i'm so jealous of people that feel fine in their first trimester and keep working out. hope you're back to it very soon!!

What are your goals throughout your pregnancy? continue eating vegan/ WFPB. stay as active as possible. start going to the chiro this pregnancy so I don't end up in so much pain i can't do anything. the radicular low back pain killed me last time, i could barely walk much less work out.

What current successes have you accomplished? i thought i would crave dairy like i did in my other pregnancies, (and i really didn't want to go back to eating dairy)... but i don't, at least so far! i actually crave salad, which is the weirdest thing. i couldn't even look at a salad with my other ones.

What challenges are you facing? all day/ night nausea, fatigue, and the headaches! oh, the headaches. if i can get a stretch "workout" in i'm winning that day. anything with jumping or fast movements brings on the throbbing in my head even worse.

Questions/Rants/Raves: I struggle to find at home workouts in pregnancy, and i looked at the ones by Obe fitness and Beachbody and am super excited to try them!

What are your goals throughout your pregnancy? just to move consistently lol i have been such a potato throughout this first trimester because i just felt so terrible

What current successes have you accomplished? i have worked out 2 days in a row finally, just 20-30 minute pre-natal pilates videos but they were much more challenging than they appeared! my goal is to do a video every morning and go for a walk most days

What challenges are you facing? just consistency and accepting that something is better than nothing so to do SOMETHING regularly. i am very all or nothing, i hiked for a living part-time before this pregnancy (backcountry hiking in very sketchy remote areas, not something i feel safe doing) so i have been sad about being benched from that, i stopped going to my crossfit gym because i felt so sick and covid cases are sooo high here in socal, so i need to feel satisfied with 20 minute pilates if that's all i can do. luckily it was hard enough!!

Questions/Rants/Raves: i just started my subscription to melissa wood health and so far so good, i saw her using 1lb weights and thought that was unnecessary at such a low weight but omg i was wrong pilates is no joke!
