Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Tuesday 1.19

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Re: TWW Tuesday 1.19

  • Month/Cycle: 13/1 AL #2

    CD/DPO: 24/7

    Timing: -1,-2,-3

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: Nope. Not unless I am actually late. I think I have come to terms with the fact that testing won’t change anything other than giving me anxiety, so I’m not going to do it.

R/R: I spent the weekend up at my new rural property where there is no data service available, and an internet break was very nice. I’m sad I have to go to work today, but I’m telling myself that at least it is only a 4 day week!

CS/Q: No questions. I have accepted that I just have a slow temp rise that makes identifying ovulation annoying, but there is definitely a shift so I’m pretty sure I did ovulate.

  • @fitzfizz 100%, I am case in point. Your weekend of solitude sounds amazing! We're very interested in purchasing a 2nd property for just that. Amen to a 4 day work week!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: 26/12

    Timing: -2, -1, 0

    Typical LP length: Not sure?

Testing: POAS since 8 dpo until I ran out of cheapies and fairly certain I got some evap lines with those so that's just adding insult to injury. I was savings some FRERs should AF not show, but alas cracked and got an ugly BFN this morning.

R/R: Rave: 4 day work week!

    CS/Q: None

  • @fitzfizz an internet break sounds amazing right now.

@misspricklepants I was tempted to use my FRERs the other day under the belief that my box of cheapies was bad even though I know they're not. They worked in September so I don't know why I would think the rest of the box was defective lol. Oh the things we tell ourselves only to waste the good tests.

    Month/Cycle: 43/2 AL

    CD/DPO: 29/13

    Timing: -4, -3, -1, 0

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: BFN again yesterday, because I'm stupid

R/R: Can we just skip to next week or something? I'm so over all the political BS.

CS/Q: I checked last cycle and noted I spotted for 2 days prior to AF's arrival, so this spotting thing must be a new normal for me. On the plus side, my temps were a lot less erratic this cycle so that was nice

  • @fitzfizz I am so jealous of your weekend. Trying (and failing) to disconnect more these days!

@ everyone in the states - jealous of your 4 day week!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 14/0??

    Timing: -5, -3, -1

    Typical LP length: 12

Testing: Will wait till end of Jan/start of Feb

R/R: not a whole lot going on, forcing myself to get back on the exercise train from today, Christmas break seems to have stretched reaaal long this year.

CS/Q: I feel like this cycle was super weird?? A bit confused - I've been tracking since July and this is the earliest I've seemingly ovulated (day 14), it's usually 16-18. Main question is does the LH look right? As in is it normal to only have the positive LH for one day and negatives the day before and after? I feel like the temp isn't accurate cause I woke up 2 hours later than usual today...

  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 27/7

Timing: Not good. Mentally moving on to the next cycle.

Typical LP length: I don’t really know.  Maybe ~14 days?

Testing: Not unless I am late

    **TW** TTC History
    TTC#3 since Nov 2020 at ages 35 & 39
    TTC#1 - 2 IVF cycles, 4 transfers, 2 miscarriages (LC age 4)
TTC#2 - a very welcome surprise without intervention (LC age 2)

  • @misspricklepants I’m sure this isn’t where you are looking, but I can vouch for land in rural Mississippi being quite inexpensive! Regarding testing, I got to a point that I stopped trusting cheapies and kept blowing through FRERs. In November I think I used 12 FRERs. This is part of why I’m not allowed to test early anymore.

@inthewoods23 I second skipping to next week (but not skipping this weekend). This was an extremely Monday kind of Tuesday.

@dsher I could totally be misinterpreting since I am not used to that app, but is that a temp line? What are you using to check LH? If you post pics in the stickied OPK thread we might be more helpful.

@dobbysfavoritesock Im sorry you are already feeling out. At least we can have the solidarity of both being 7DPO and WFAF.

  • @fitzfizz I'm sure MS is beautiful! We were thinking more like WI haha... hoping to find a lake house eventually. I totally get the testing thing and I admire your restraint! What's your experience been with cheapies, evaps or false positives? What brand(s) have you used?

  • @misspricklepants I vacation with DH's family to northern WI every summer. We love it! Except for that fact that there are 6 of us in a tiny cottage so it sucks feeling on top of each other. Love being on the lake though.

  • @inthewoods23 we love it up there too! There's so many lakes so hoping something affordable will pop up soon.
    image
  • @fitzfizz it is a temp line! Annoyingly was using the clearblue for OPK so it was a smiley face yes/no result. V confused again today as it seems I still don’t have a temp rise but another negative LH. Guess I’ll have to wait till tomorrow and see 🤷‍♀️
  • @misspricklepants It's so hard to find affordable without feeling like you're living in a shack or something so small. Lake property ain't cheap! DH's family always rents a place for a week. They don't own anything up there. My parents were considering getting a place up there sometime last year but in reality, we likely wouldn't use it often enough for it to make sense, and I don't think my parents would live there for extended periods of time. Now, if my family had a boat, skis, snowmobile, and what have you, we'd be more likely to use it a lot but financially it doesn't make sense for them.

  • @inthewoods23 totally makes sense! We went up with friends who have a family lake house and while it was basically a shack it was really nice not to have to really worry about keeping it pristine. Now would be such a great time to have one with working remotely... maybe someday!
