Hi ladies!

Ages (you and SO): Both 30

How many months have you been TTC?: About 1 (2 if I count NTNP back in November/December). My cycles have just returned 🙌

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: prenatals, OPKs, going to temp

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

I'm an attorney in Massachusetts and I used to love traveling and reading, but haven't done either in ages. We have an almost 15 month old son, 2 crazy dogs and a house that seems to always be in disarray. The silver lining has been that we've had ample family time and haven't missed any firsts (MH works at home too). I lurked TTGP and participated for a couple months back in 2018. I look forward to getting to know everyone

Hey y’all! Yes, Im from Kentucky 😂.

Ages (you and SO): I am 34 (35 in one month) and he is 36.

How many months have you been TTC?: one month/cycle (currently in TWW).

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Prenatals, BBT, OPK

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Wellll, we just got married on NYE! We both liked the idea of sending out the year that shall not be named on a positive note! It’s a second marriage for both of us so we were just planning on minister, rings, vows, and witnesses anyway so we said what the hey, let’s just do NYE. We did a tiny ceremony at my best friend’s house with her standing for me and his brother for him. My best friend’s husband was the DJ and photographer, lol, and their son and daughter were ring bearer and flower girl (except their son ended up doing both because, as expected of most three year old flower girls...total meltdown when it was showtime even after being excited right before that 😂). It was cute though. I was frustrated bc I couldn’t get my Zoom to work so no friends and family got to watch and now the recording is too long to text or email to anyone (I could send the Zoom share link but it needed quite a bit of time cut off the beginning and end). So if you guys have any ideas on that LMK! Neither me nor my husband have any children yet and this is our first time trying so we are really excited! We are both looking after elderly/sick parents, as well as his 18 year old autistic nephew, so that is challenging but we embrace it and enjoy being invested in our families. He works in logistics and I work in regulatory public health. We have one cat, Missy, which he had before we met. She and I get along pretty well usually but she is quite moody and we sometimes have words 😂. She is generally a very sweet cat though. I actually have two cats myself though, Thor and Stella, who are currently in foster with one of my friends. I moved home with my parents over the summer to help care for my father who has stage four cancer because my mom has to continue going in to work and I’m working from home so I am able to be here with him. We don’t want to leave him alone because he is prone to falls. Right now I am splitting time between my parents and mine/my husband’s house (which I have not lived in until recently, which is why the cats are not there) alternating days at home with my mom because she is now able to work from home a few days where she was not in the beginning. Anyway, my dad vehemently said no more animals in the house. They have two very hyper dogs and an uptight cat, lol. So my friend is taking wonderful care of my critters and I’m looking forward to welcoming them back to us when all is settled. We are starting the home buying process and don’t want to move them now just to move them again in a few months. Current hobbies...my husband works a lot so we pretty much just chill at home through the week and relax on the weekends, usually watching history or mystery videos on YouTube (we ❤️ Mr. Ballen!). We do a lot of grocery shopping with an 18 year old boy and three other people in the house. Does that count? Ha. I also crochet and have been making cloth masks, but currently I am addicted to the mini Nintendo my husband got me for Christmas. Mario Bros and Dr Mario are my jam! I just welcomed a new nephew on 12/22. He makes my third (2 weeks, 5, and 21) and I also have one niece (9) and I just added three more nephews (12, 14, and 18) and a niece (19) by marriage so my heart is very full right now! So despite the dumpster fire of last year, we have had many blessings (including the return of Clearly Canadian sparkling water...whaaaaat?!).

Sorry that was long. Sometimes when I get going it’s hard to stop! I’m looking forward to sharing my journey with you all and witnessing yours as well!

@acleverusername no I’m in the U.S. (Kentucky). Clearly Canadian was distributed in the States waaay back when and it was my favorite! They stopped making it about 20 years ago but resurrected it in August-ish (of course with more than double the price tag of back in the day 😏 but soooo worth it). I have been tearing it up! Lol. It’s a little more tart (but still sweet too) and fizzier than other sparkling waters. It’s like the bubbles seem smaller and more copious...? Ha.

@fitzfizz yes me too! It’s like my childhood in a bottle! The only place I can find it is Kroger and they only have blackberry, wild cherry, and country raspberry. The website shows peach but I’ve yet to be able to find that. When I buy it I buy TONS because it’s usually out of stock. Lots of people reveling in the nostalgia I suppose but I can’t blame them! And everyone (in both my homes) has been put on notice that touching my Clearly Canadian is a punishable offense 😂.

@marbellie thanks so much! It has truly been a blessing to be able to be here. Ironically it was COVID that made it possible because if not for that and our offices closing indefinitely resulting in 100% telework, I would not have been allowed to work from my parents’ house long term, nor would it have been logistically feasible, because it’s in southern KY and I lived and worked in Cincinnati (about a 3.5 hour drive) prior to the move. I transferred to our Louisville, KY office when I moved home, which also puts my office closer to my husband. The stars just all kind of aligned and I am so so grateful.

@hjw86 I understand what you mean. The ability to work from home, waste no time commuting and enjoy all the time with my little family has been a good spot in the crazy times. Going forward, I hope that my office will be even more favorable to flexible work schedules since I don't want to spend more than 2 weekdays in office.

@marbellie you forgot not having to put real pants on...or ANY pants 😂. I do hope you get your wish though and are able to work at home more regularly once offices start reopening. I feel like most places will probably see how functional it can be and may move toward that model. Fingers crossed!

@fitzfizz I had no idea but now I am really excited! When I lived in Cincinnati I used to go to a place called Jungle Jim’s International Market, which is the same concept. I miss that place and now I have a replacement! My nephew has been dying to try Harkarl (Icelandic fermented shark 🤮) and Jungle Jim’s doesn’t have it so I called World Market today and they don’t either. Some online research shows it is likely near impossible to get in the states. It honestly isn’t that disappointing though because, though I have an extensive pallet and have tried lots of interesting foods in my past travels, this is something I would NOT touch and I prefer not to have to experience even the smell of it. Lol.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): We live in New England and are both healthcare workers so this year has been super crazy. We have a 2 year old daughter and a big goofy pit bull mix named Barley. We're pretty active runners and exercise enthusiasts and I love to cook, bake, quilt, and knit.

Excited to be back on TB! Married with 2 boys, ages 6 & 2 *TW* MC @ 9 weeks in March 2016 *TW END* Was very active on the April 2014 BMB with my first, but not so much with my second. Living in Chicagoland and lucky enough to be working from home for the foreseeable future. Also have 2 girls, our dog and cat! Really enjoy the outdoors and staying active, but in these colder months really looking forward to hunkering down playing board games and snuggling in watching TV/movies and reading. Basement makeshift gym will hopefully keep us active when we start going stir crazy! Currently binging Alone on Hulu. Really looking forward to getting to know you all!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
We have a 17 month old little boy (who is currently teething like crazy!). MH is a surgeon finishing up his training scheme in the next 5 months and I work in data protection in a non profit. We've moved 7 times in the last 5 years for my husband's training so we're used to a bit of chaos! We have two more international moves coming up in the next two years and then hopefully can look at settling down!! I'm actually looking forward to the next move as we'll be moving from Europe back to Canada where my family is! I work from home due to the pandemic and it's been suiting us for the time being - although it can be quite tough not leaving the house for days at a time now. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
