How far along are you?

How are you feeling this week?

still super backed up, though I think my efforts of increasing fluids and fiber is helping some because I’ve been extra gassy so I feel like things are starting to move? Just very slowly lol I was taking stool softeners but that basically helped for one day and then it started all over again, so I’m trying to see if I can resolve it on my own for now.

also I had this with DD as well, but the excess saliva is killing me. I’m having to spit sooo often during the day because I just can’t stand to swallow it all the time.

Between the full feeling from being backed up and the extra saliva, my nausea is about 10x worse right now. Otherwise ok.. I’ve been able to keep more food down this week and have been able to stay out of bed for longer periods of time

How are you feeling this week? My nausea is slightly better, in that it’s not constant. It more so comes in waves now, which is a lot more tolerable. Post nasal drip still sucks, but my indigestion and heartburn is so much better since adding Pepcid. Finished my UTI meds today, and my yeast infection meds will be done on Wednesday. I really hope after that the yeast infection is completely lately gone. I’ve been tired, have horrible gas, slightly backed up, and my stomach has had a lot of stretching pains lately.

How are you feeling this week? Nausea has been horrible. Honestly do better when I don’t eat but then I am hungry. I go for long walks to help with the nausea, but now that I am back to working post the holidays (working from home), not sure how that will work, but will try. I second the extra salvia, it’s awful. I had this with 1st DD and it lasted the whole pregnancy, with 2nd DD didn’t have any nausea/excess salvia. Not overtly optimistic this will go away and with COVID, working from home full time and have my 8yr old at home doing virtual schooling and my 4yr old at home (not in daycare) feeling like it will be forever till July.

  • Anyone else short of breath? It’s not horrible, but I feel like I get out of breath easily even when talking.
  • @daisy528 yes! I just recently started with some post nasal drip so I was thinking the shortness of breath came along with that maybe but I’ve definitely felt more out of breath lately
  • @daisy528 I’ve got that too! I can notice it a lot on my work calls lately. Explaining things or having a long winded conversation has been getting to me if I have to talk too much lol
  • @daisy528 Definitely been noticing being out of breath more in the past few weeks.

@jessd0117 I made a killer chili recipe a few nights ago and BOY did it get things moving, I put kale and black beans in it and I think the combo of the two of those high fibre options really did a number on my bowels (lol just in case you are desperate to get things moving, it was also delicious so basically a win-win) - just ground beef (brown it first), onion, garlic, veg of choice (I do bell peppers and kale), black beans, chilli powder, salt, pepper, diced tomatoes and voila - simmer for a while, I don't make it very spicy because of my toddler and also nervous that heartburn is going to creep up on me any day now so you could add more spice if you wanted.  Anyway, like I said...really got things moving.

  • 12 weeks today and I feel like the nausea and vomiting are at a peak! I have to eat small snacks every couple hours or the empty stomach has me dry heaving. Hoping relief is shortly around the corner!
  • @canucklehead123 chili actually sounds so good too! We’ve had some cold blah days which makes it even better. We always put canned corn in ours! I thought it was so weird when DH introduced me to it years ago but it’s actually such a nice subtle sweetness that now I prefer it!

TMI but I’ve been running to the bathroom literally all day today 😣 I’ve been eating tons of fiber, like anything and everything with a high fiber content, and drinking hot water with lemon and honey in it (both natural laxatives) but I didn’t expect things to move so quickly. I’m actually kind of worried that the problem is resolving so quickly after being so bad (these are my first BMs in like 8 days). I know symptoms kind of come and go so maybe it’s just my body giving me a break, in which case I am grateful for the relief lol.
  • 12+5(ish) today. I haven't had many typical symptoms and generally feel normal, but my belly is definitely starting to round out a little instead of just looking like an extra layer of fat.
