I thought I was turning a corner but instead I just developed a new symptom, insomnia. I am fine once I fall asleep but it’s taking me forever to fall asleep. I’ve also got really bad pregnancy brain, although this could also be explained by the lack of sleep. Today we took the kids to a local garden and when we got there we realized I’d forgotten the kids shoes and the blanket for the stroller. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@Omie_Wise I have had insomnia a couple nights too, it’s the worst. Overall I’ve been sleeping a ton though but I’m just always so so tired. My thyroid was borderline low at 12 weeks so they are re-testing it at 16 (on 1/8) to see if I need meds. I’m almost hoping I do if I still feel this tired because I don’t think I should feel like this in second tri and def can’t do another 26 weeks like this!

@Omie_Wise welcome to the insomnia club. It's been a few weeks for me. I can fall asleep okay but then I'm up from 2-6am. My days are a blur as I'm so tired. I hope it gets better for you.
I'm at 17+1 today seem to have starting getting round ligament pain in the last few days. First time was on thursday night when I got in bed, I shifting slightly and felt a super sharp pain in my lower abdomen that passed after about a minute. Man, it was painful! It felt like a pulled muscle! Then for the last few days I've continued to have occasional aching and pain in the same area, that diagonal line that always gets described as where round ligament pain occurs. Also having a lot of general belly discomfort as things are definitely stretching out and hip pain continues.
On the upside I've also been able to pretty consistently feel the baby moving for the last 4-5 days, that's a much more fun new symptom!
@dogmom5 I've recently discovered prune juice. Old people drink it for a reason. It really works. I water it down by half. A glass a day has changed my life.
@tilournextadventure Same here. Pee at around 3 and then forget going back to sleep until like 7 or 8 if I can stay in bed that long. Usually cant.
@ellieemc26 So cool you can feel it moving already! I can't wait to feel that too.
@lizalovespasha yup, definitely the need to pee does not help.
Overall, felling okay this week. Tired due to insomnia. The past few days I have not been feeling like crap after eating so hopefully I am past that stage and it will be hearts and rainbows from here 🤣 until something else comes.
I'm almost scared to say it, but I think my nausea/vomiting is turning a corner? I have only been throwing up 2-3 times a day the past week, and yesterday it was once once.
I also have a little more energy. I went to bed at 7pm last night but I think I was just beat from all the Christmas late nights.
@ruemcclanahan ugh! I hope it’s just a one off bad day and there will be so many more good days to come.
I’m sorry so many are having RLP.
Those with insomnia, it might be worth checking with your provider about taking a unisom at night. It’s safe to take for nausea so should be safe for sleep, but worth checking with your provider.
Last night I was crazy sore by my belly button. Still a little sore this morning. As I consulted Dr. Google, I realized I’d read the same article before. Apparently this happened with DS, too. Really should’ve kept a symptom log or something... anyway, yay, tender belly button?
Sore boobs, ugh. Yesterday was the first day that I would started bumping into stuff with the bump. I opened the refrigerator door standing a normal distance away that in the past the door was able to clear me, but yesterday it bumped into the bump. So I'm guess I'm going to need to start making some adjustments.
And better news, I have felt him moving daily. Hoping it will happen more often and more consistently as I get closer to the "halfway point."

@halfanewt I have been having soreness/pulling right to the left of my belly button, I can only guess that it's my internal organs rearranging themselves to accommodate my growing uterus and/or constipation-related.
My current weird symptom: I am a side sleeper but usually switch back and forth between left and right, but the last two nights the second I flip to my right side I have instant heartburn/indigestion. I guess my body is going to force me to just be a left sider already.

I still have nausea/gagging/vomiting. I don’t expect it to go away anytime soon. The insomnia has also started for me and the hip pain at night is terrible. Also my acid reflux is in full force. I have been having a lot of headaches lately too.
@MelissaMay82 I feel you with all of this.....😫 hope it all gets better soon for everyone who is still dealing with it. We have come this far already. Hopefully an end is in sight!
@DoubleUp8 so exciting that you're feeling daily movement!! Wow, I can't believe you're almost halfway!
I've been having soreness in my obliques. It feels like I've been doing heavy duty ab exercises so I'm just assuming things are moving around! It's also already starting to get hard to put socks on without being in a specific position.
@DoubleUp8 I feel ya girl on the sore boobs lately. Mine have been super tender and sore and my nipples the other day omg!! So tender. It would hurt if it even rubbed on clothing 😖
I’ve gone onto another starving all the time phase. I’ve eaten so much in the last couple days I’m afraid to step in the scale.
@mindyb2019 I had the super sore nipples a couple weeks ago. One of them actually started bleeding a little from rubbing on my clothes. I had to put bandaids on them for about a week until it went away. That was fun.
I tried to shave my legs today and about keeled over. Good lord it took so much effort I’ve decided I’ll get someone to wax my legs from here on out lol
