Appointment today was fine, nothing exciting as expected. Although I am now really annoyed with my OB's nurses line, because my OB said "Too bad I sent my ultrasound tech home, I could have snuck you in for your AS today." When I told her I tried to schedule the AS, and the nurse wouldn't let me, see said, "that's weird, I don't know why." Oh well, AS is scheduled two weeks from today. Only really exciting thing is that the nurse tried to take my hear rate with the medium cuff, and it was dangerously high. Thankfully this has happened before, so I was able to suggest she try again with the large, and then it was normal.
@mrosek91 Freaking A, man! They do this every single day for a living, why don't they know to use the large cuff? I have to tell them that, too, and I feel like it's rather obvious, lol! Sorry you didn't get a scan
Loved seeing baby boy today. I can’t get over his cute nose and squishy belly (pics in u/s thread). The tech couldn’t measure one of my fibroids from above, so I had to have a vaginal exam too.
Baby looks absolutely perfect 🙏🏽, but one of the fibroids is still larger than they’d like. The lab wants me to check with my OB next visit to see if they’ll want me do schedule monthly scans from now on to keep an eye on it. 😕
Anatomy scan was today! Baby is doing good, cervix is long and just for the irony, I have a little bit more fluid than average...! We will do a control scan in 2 months because there was one kidney measurement that was just off the normal range. But we are not worried at this point as we were told they see it pretty often in little boys (and even worst than our measurement) and it resolves itself. All and all we're really happy with today and it's special because we didn't make it to our scan last time, I PPROMed that morning.
I had my regular ob appointment yesterday. It was virtual. I talked to her for about 30 minutes about the possibility of a vbac or not. Basically how it boils down is she thinks I’m already on a lot of insulin and that I likely won’t make it to term because of diabetes and blood sugar becoming unmanageable. She said she doesn’t induce vbacs because you can only use a small amount of pitocin to induce and would only do that if I was almost in labor already. So to me that means it will likely be a repeat c section. And that honestly is almost a relief to me. I’ll be able to wear contacts, have a clear drape and have skin to skin. All those are different from my first. So I’m just hoping for the best and preparing for that now
