    WAYDTGKU: charting

R/R: I had the busiest day at work yesterday and when I finally got to bumping there was so much going on here that I got overwhelmed and just lurked. I've been pretty lazy all morning but I told myself that I would post and then get moving. The house is a mess but I just can't find the energy.. our super called a remote day yesterday due to the snow and a number of cases in district but hasn't said anything about Mon/Tues in person yet. I just wish they would be consistent and call remote days for those two days bc I would feel a lot safer. Also, our remote day schedule is totally different than our normal schedule so a heads up would be nice to be able to plan.

CS/Q: Finally got some fertile cm yesterday. I'm really hoping I O soon.

GTKY: What is your favorite Christmas/holiday song? I don't necessarily have one song, but I really like Kelly Clarkson's Wrapped in Red album.

WAYDTGKU: Tempdrop, tracking CP and CM

R/R: We got to the hotel at 12:30am. We saw 2 moose and luckily they were off the road and near the woods. The temps got down to -13 while we were driving through the mountain pass. Then when we drove into town it Was -20. I can’t seem to get the heat to actually heat our room and I froze all night. I’m going to have to call today and have someone look at the thermostat. DH basically got us a small apartment. I told him we are staying a week not a month! We don’t need this much space. I need to get up and get dressed and head over to my in-laws but I can’t make myself move because the thought of walking outside in subzero temps makes me want to bury myself under so many blankets.

CS/Q: I decided to switch to a new app so I can have my TD sync with it. It also allows me to enter a second temp for my RHR.

GTKY: What is your favorite Christmas/holiday song? Baby it’s cold outside. I know it isn’t popular and it’s controversial but it is still my favorite.

  • @fameonmain2 sorry about all the inconsistencies. Hopefully they keep y’all home those 2 days.

WAYDTGKU: prenatals, tracking CM, timing BD

R/R: Ready for the weekend! It's full-on Christmas mode, now. I'll be burning candles all weekend long. I did most of my Christmas grocery shopping this morning, and will finish tomorrow. I'll also be wrapping all of the presents tomorrow!

CS/Q: Does CP generally rise and soften before CM switches to EW? My cervix feels much higher and softer today, but definitely no EWCM. I'm guessing that's coming next.

GTKY: What is your favorite Christmas/holiday song? I'm still really enjoying Sia's Christmas album.

  • @fameonmain2 Can you just take a lazy, restful day today? I know sometimes that backfires, but you could always get moving tomorrow? Sounds like you could use a good rest!

@emeraldcity1214 that chart is so aesthetically pleasing! What is RHR?
  • @Aerialmrs Resting heart rate. Your CP gets high and soft as ovulation approaches. Then as AF approaches it will lower and harden again.

    WAYDTGKU: bbt, opks, cm, cinnamon

R/R: had our ugly sweater party virtually this afternoon and now I'm both happy and sad. We barely teared up on camera though! Anticipating likely needing to call out of work tomorrow because I'm sneezing and sore throat and runny nose today, which really sucks the weekend before Christmas in retail. But I can't work with a cold in the age of covid.

CS/Q: no temp spike yet, but my peak opk was yesterday morning so I'm anticipating O is today. Going to try to get one more BD in tonight to be safe.

GTKY: What is your favorite Christmas/holiday song? Either "O Holy Night" or "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" but both the Josh Groban versions.

  • @fameonmain2 yay fertile cm! Sorry work's been nuts. I've definitely had those only-enough-energy-to-lurk days.

@emeraldcity1214 ugh that is so cold. Hope the heat situation is worked out quickly.

@Aerialmrs yay presents! I'm sewing a bunch today myself.

  • @Aerialmrs You are so right. MH ended up convincing me to go snow shoeing with him and the dog and it was lovely. Then we ran some errands and he went off to help a friend so I have the house to myself. I see some Hallmark movies in my future! GL with the Christmas shopping and wrapping!

@emeraldcity1214 Happy there were no moose encounters and I hope you get that heating situation fixed too! How do you like the read your body app? I thinking of getting it. I use FF but I imagine it will be tedious to go back and change temps once the TD algorithm kicks in.

@fantasyflyte I hope you feel better soon and get that BD in tonight!
  • @fameonmain2 I like it because it allows me to have two temps so I can see my BBT and RHR together in one chart. There is a learning curve but once you figure it out you can really customize it to exactly how you want it. It was made by actual FAM users so it has all the features that you would want. It took me awhile to figure out how to edit everything and get it how I want. I’m still figuring stuff out. It’s a paid app which I’m not super thrilled about because Kindara is free and works fine but I love how the temps are integrated. Side note: have you joined the TD FB group and seen all the drama over the rollout of the app update with the charting feature? I am really disappointed with the quality of that portion of the app. I’m not sure why they failed at implementing that. I don’t ever plan to use that feature but I thought it was stupid that all these FAM users who would never use an app to interpret their data are getting all bent out of shape over this feature that is specifically for women who aren’t really sure how to interpret their own data. I don’t plan to do anything but sync each morning. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyways, I like it and I think it’s worth it. They have other apps that are integrated but none of them have been worth it for me to even download to my phone. After being a Kindara user for so long, I’m really picky about how my CM is displayed in my chart. It makes it so easy for me to interpret my FW and ovulation. How are you liking your TD so far? It’s nice isn’t it. Are you still tracking with a reg BBT or did you ditch that right away? I ditched mine right away and just put all my faith in it and it’s never failed me. Minus when I have had technical issues with my sensor.
  • @fameonmain2 also, it is actually less tedious these days to change your temps. When I first started using TD all the temps changed with every sync and you would have to go back and change a ton so you could interpret your data. They changed that feature when they updated the algorithm and it’s much easier now. Although, the old way made everyone’s chart super smooth because it was always updating to a better temp as it learned your sleep patterns. So now charts are a little more jagged.
  • @emeraldcity1214 I did join and yes! I think I joined just a couple of days before the big update so I was bombarded early on. It didn’t bother me that much since all of my data is in FF so I wasn’t planning on using a new app but it does seem silly to roll something out without working all the kinks out first, but maybe there was some sort of pressure to get it out quickly? And yeah if you are interpreting your own chart and drawing your own cover lines I have no idea what the big deal is! I have had to correct FF twice in the very short amount of time I was charting — none of these apps are going to be as good as you knowing your own body. As for temping I just stopped with the oral temp. I have to be at work almost an hour away by 7:45 so I was setting my alarm for 4 every morning to temp which is fine on weekdays but painful on weekends/days off. And I hate temping. It stresses me out big time. So yes this is a lifesaver! I think I will hit day 15 Monday so I’m excited for the algorithm to kick in!
  • @fameonmain2 Most of those people are what I would call charting snobs. I will say my biggest complaint is the fact the chart doesn’t zoom out. I mean, that is basic. Complaining about the wheel is a little ridiculous though. I find it interesting that you have corrected FF twice now. Was it trying to mark ovulation sooner?

WAYDTGKU: Tempdrop and tracking CM and CP

R/R: I left the heat at 85 all day yesterday and our hotel apartment 😆 (I swear our first apartment we lived in together was this size. Maybe even smaller) is warm now. I think it was just set so low that it took awhile for the heater to do its job. I got 9 hours of sleep so I’m officially caught up after our trip up here. I think the subzero temps are messing with the electronics in my van. Yesterday it was so glitchy when I was driving around. So I’m going to see about plugging it in tonight.

CS/Q: I think DH and I are actually going to get decent timing. Based on my CM I’m likely going to ovulate on CD14 or CD15. I will be happy with one more heart today or even tomorrow. We just have to work around DH’s work schedule.

  • @emeraldcity1214 For one of the cycles it marked my ovulation 2 days too early. I went with it though I thought it was wrong, then when my period was “late” I was devastated to get a bfn. So now I trust myself over it. For the other I had an an-o and it marked ovulation even though there really wasn’t a clear temp shift.

I actually have a feeling it will happen again this month. With one more high temp FF will likely mark my ovulation date as a couple of days ago even though I had no fertile cm. The general lack of it this cycle is making me think that I might have another an-o, which I was worried about (I was on prednisone at the beginning of this cycle and I was on it also on during the last an-o). I’m pretty bummed, had myself a good cry this morning, but trying not to count myself out for this cycle until I’m out. It’s hard though.
  • At least we did get that additional BD in last night, so one redeeming quality about this weekend.
  • @fameonmain2 Have you ever tried preseed? Some women use it who don’t get lots of fertile CM. Just a reminder, it’s very important to make sure your CM lines up with any temp shift you get with TD. I have had what they call “shifty shifts” before and my CM didn’t line up with my shift at all. Then I ovulated a week later and got an actual shift.
