My daughter decided to be up for the day at 4:45 AM. And my just over 1 year old puppy whines the whole time he can hear her in her room. His kennel is in our room. We need to get both of these habits fixed before baby comes because I might lose it on all living things in my home if they don’t.
I know with the pandemic there needs to be a lot of grace for timelines, but I am really frustrated with people not doing their job or delivery services by the agreed upon date. We've been waiting for weeks to have usable ethernet ports at my office. The contractor that we hired to do it is a nice guy, but keeps giving me excused for not showing up as planned- got suck on another job site, other client had an SOS, etc. Most recently it was because he had to pick his kids up. I finally sent a very stern message pointing out that we are unable to operate without desk phones (that plug into ethernet ports) and have a very unstable connection when not wired in. I'm annoyed that I get put into this position for asking someone to do something they were supposed to do before Thanksgiving.
Also... my male counterparts never get family and kid related excuses for untimely work and I do all the time. I think people assume that because I'm a woman I'll be more forgiving? Meanwhile, that is probably less of the case because I have just as much (if not more) on my plate and still get my stuff done on time. Ok, end rant.
@mrspants0809 4:45 is so uncool. My little knows she has to stay in her bed until 7am. We are zombies in the morning. I hope you get that figured out ASAP
@surrenderdorothy that would drive me insane. It isn't like its a small inconvenience for you either. Hopefully he gets his sh*t together and gets it done soon.
My TW is work. I have to prep everything for my week off and it's so much extra work because they don't function well without me. Then I will spend my week off worrying about what kind of mess I will be coming back to.
@baby_yoda1986 I know that life. I hope you can shut down the "work brain" and enjoy your much needed vacation to unplug. They can deal with whatever comes up.
@mrspants0809 I feel your pain. My 3-year-old has been getting up that early too. I have gotten the sleep to wake clock but he ignores it. I don't know how to get him to stay in his room/in his bed? He just got potty trained and he moved his potty into the space just outside his room and was yelling at me to come there. Nightmare! Lol
@mrspants0809 yesssssss, right there with you. DS3 has been waking up earlier and earlier every morning. This morning was 4:50. All I ask of my kids anymore is to eat enough and sleep enough... the two best things in the world!!! Wth is up with that?
@surrenderdorothy - My husband ordered something for his lab weeks ago. He's called three times about it because it wasn't showing up when it was supposed to. On Friday he called and they said they'd ship it out immediately with priority shipping. It didn't show up, he called again yesterday and now it's out of stock and they can't ship it out until a week from now. It's a mess and yes so frustrating when people just can't do their job! Also that totally sounds like sexism that you get the family/kids excuses when your male counterparts never do.
@thereisalight@lrynwnab@BourbonBiscuits I’m glad I’m not alone in the crummy kids sleeping. We have an ok to wake clock that we got out again because we haven’t needed it for the last few months. I hope it starts to work. We’ve told her/have a standing rule of no getting up until 6 but it’s been touch and go. 😭😭
@mrspants0809 6 is our rule too. The older two are told to go back upstairs if they come down earlier than that. We had an okay to wake clock but they would fight over who got to sleep next to it... ugh (they share a room). I know this will all be in the past someday, and I probably will have a hard time getting them out of bed at some point... but right now, mama is tired!
@cyanope my niece sleeps until 9 am most days (she’s 3!) and my sister and bil were shocked that my DD didn’t and that it’s not just a once in a while thing. I’m still a little bitter. Lol 😂
DD gets up around 6 over here too. Then I've also had some insomnia so then I wake her up creeping around and she starts asking me 'what can we do' at like 5am. 😫😫😫 That's why TV was invented....

Re: TW Tuesday 12/15
This is not really on topic, except that my 3.5 year old calls waffles "twaffles" and it always makes me think of TB

Thanks for denting my car. Luckily my husband's family owns a body shop but what a pain.
time getting them out of bed at some point... but right now, mama is tired!
