@nsk - I just started listening to a podcast called "All About Pregnancy and Birth" that is produced by an OB/Gyn and she has a free workshop on creating birth plans. Looks like she has a couple more times coming up today and later this month: https://drnicolerankins.com/birth-plan/
@nsk489 I got a little obsessed with birth plans in the first trimester. But I haven't made one yetbecause they said my hospital won't accept it anyways and it was recommended to share it with your doctor after week 30. But there are some great YouTube videos and I even found a visual guide. The nice thing about the visual one is it's easier for the nurses or health-care providers.

Interesting Baby Fact / Baby is the size of: House mouse
Upcoming appointments: Maybe end of Dec
How are you feeling? Normal. Occasionally have irrational feelings of throwing things for petty reasons.
Rants/Raves: A little stressed because my husband leaves on Saturday for two months in the middle of a covid surge. If he gets covid this week it will completely mess up his plans and possibly affect his father's health. But that leaves me with a toddler, doctor's appointments and a teen-ager to entertain in covid during her entire summer vacation. His dad keeps getting sick and he hasn't been around for either of our two anniversaries.

GTKY: What is your proudest accomplishment to date? Compared to the other accomplishments I don't feel like I have anything substantial. Getting married and having my son. Maybe being able to communicate in Spanish and my five years teaching high school students. I wish I could say I could communicate in Mandarin (or write) that would be an accomplishment to me.

@nsk489 last time my birth plan was 1. Get baby out safely. 2. Don’t rip from hooha to butthole. 😂 I succeeded and hopefully this time I do as well. I feel like your body does what it’s going to do and a lot is out of your control. For me having a doula by my side and an attitude to be flexible was what worked best.
*lurking from Wk 2* @alexandraseattle my nausea is just now starting to ease up (I'm 18+3). It's still pretty bad but for the most part I can function now and haven't had to take any time off work lately to deal with it. I'm also still on Zofran/B6+Unisom and I keep a stash of peppermints nearby for when I start feeling gaggy. Hopefully yours will start to ease up soon.
@gusgus14 thanks for making me feel less alone! I hope you keep feeling relief and get to wean off the meds soon!! Last pregnancy I started feeling some relief around 18 weeks. My morning sickness wasn’t as intense as this time around (boy then vs girl now) but it still sucked. I’m 15+1 so hopefully I feel better for Christmas.
@alexandraseattle Definitely one if my regrets from my first birth was not having a birth plan. It really helps knowing what's available and what you want. Didn't realize what I wanted until after my baby was born. Luckily I was in a good hospital that did most of what I wanted.
My "birth plan" was a vaginal birth and exclusively breast feed. So, I had a C-section and they definitely fed my baby formula without my consent. What they did that I didn't realize I wanted was: Customized music during the C-section (nice, but I can live without it), skin on skin contact with my husband.

How are you feeling? Still lots of nausea and some vomiting. It’s tended to linger with me in other pregnancies so I’m not surprised. Still taking phenergan, Zofran, b6 and unisom
Rants/Raves: Rant: I have such high anxiety right now because I haven’t felt baby move yet! I know it’s super early and perhaps even earlier than average but I think this is around when I started feeling movement with my second and the lack of movement has me SO anxious. 😒 I know it is irrational but it’s weighing on me.
Questions: are you feeling movement? When did it start? 👀
GTKY: What is your proudest accomplishment to date? I’m not sure? We paid off all of our debt besides our mortgage a few years ago which is what has allowed me to have a super flexible part time job right now instead of full time.
