Morning! My mom came over Saturday and we went through ALL the kids clothes. I culled out stuff that isn't seasonally right for baby Eli and sent them with my MIL for my husband's cousin who's due in early February. It was an entire LARGE suitcase, lololol. We then separated everything by size and season and bagged them up. It took from 11:30-7pm . I can't believe we got it done, though! That means all I have to do clothes wise before baby gets here is wash and put away! I'm thrilled!
Since we found out we're having a boy, I now have several totes of girl clothes to go through and get rid of. I'm kind of sad about it. My cousin recently got a girl pregnant, so my aunt asked me to keep it until they know what she's having. Once they find out, I'll have to figure out how to go about selling it. I'll probably post pics and sell the cheap stuff in bundles and the smocked dresses and what not as separates. I also now feel like I have stuff to buy.

@texas_t nice! We went through and set aside everything we could use for the boys last week (whether seasonally appropriate or not; Odessa was a winter baby but I like keeping our house cool in the spring/summer so those clothes could still come in handy!) but I haven't sorted by size yet! We need to though so we can see what gaps we need to fill in. I need to go back through the girly clothes because my friend's daughter is due in April with her first and I am going to give her anything I'm not overly attached to.
This might be more of a bitchfest Monday but it's only 9am and I am already over my co-workers this week. Thank goodness I'm working from home or else I might actually try to strangle someone. It doesn't help that another headache kicked in last night so my patience is very thin!
It has been an insane weekend, I ended up working Saturday and Sunday. Today I finally got tired of waiting and called the COVID hotline. I had to wait 45 minutes!! But my results are NEGATIVE!! 🙌 I know I have a ton to catch up on (I haven't even read this thread yet), and I have to post the product spotlight and week 3 check-in, but I have meetings from 10-5 today (except lunch) and one of them to go over something that I promised someone would be done last week, and isn't... I'll try and pop in when I can and get those threads up at some point, but it's going to be another crazy week at work.
what are the best registries y'all have found? I am mainly using them just for perks. I have amazon with I think a 15% completion discount and target with the same completion discount, plus I have a red card. Are there any others I should be considering?

@texas_t those Old Navy lounge pants came in, and they're adorbs!! Unfortunately, going up a size was the wrong move because they are comically giant. Like circus pants. They *might* fit me the last week of my pregnancy. 😂Unfortunately, it looks like they're sold out in my normal size and the colors I ordered, so I'm going to return the pink and grey ones and try to shrink the tie dye ones in the dryer.
Also I just got my usual email saying there was activity on my paystub account, but it was 2 emails. Well that's because there was a Christmas Bonus! It was a complete surprise! yay!

Rant: I wore maternity jeans that worked for the end of my last pregnancy. I'm the same weight as when I delivered my last baby, but these jeans keep falling off an it's driving me mad. I guess because my stomach isn't quite as big yet, they aren't holding them up! GAH! Good news is, I guess they'll work later on?
I usually have chocolate every day. Back in the before times I used to keep bags of "fun sized" stuff at my desk. Now I keep asking DH to pick up for me when he does the shopping, but he only buys "splurgy items" when they are on sale. I finished the last bag he bought for me about a week ago, and he hasn't replaced it yet. Our synagogue sent a mold your own chocolate set for Chanukah, and I told him to hide it so we could do it with the boys on Sunday. I also told him not to tell me where he hid it so that I can't sneak chocolate before then. I am deeply regretting this decision. I may need to order chocolate off amazon, I know that will annoy DH, but he's the one whose not providing his pregnant wife with her chocolate fix.
@nbcarlson I’m with you on the crying. Some days I’m a normal human. And then every few days, I cry about everything. Yesterday I think I cried at least four times.
@gusgus14 I listen to a podcast called the Birth Hour where moms can come on and share their birth stories. I just listened to one they did were the mom had twins, and then went on to found Twiniversity. She also has a book “What To Do When You’re Having Two”. I thought you might be interested in these resources.
@spartan4life Yes! The problem is that I'm always addicted to chocolate, so he doesn't consider it a pregnancy craving, and therefore, doesn't prioritize it. But I ended up ordering a 7lb bag of mixed mars minis, so I should be good for a while.
Has anyone felt the baby move yet? This is my first pregnancy and I started to feel something different this past Sunday at 17 + 2. I especially notice it after I eat or when trying to go to sleep. Feels like a little bubble popping. Its different than anything I have ever felt before and I still feel it happening a few times a day now. Hmmmm..
Okay, I know this is a first world problem and I know USPS is struggling right now and there are delays and COVID is impacting stuff and I get it it but I have now had 3 packages go from moving smoothly through the system to "In transit, arriving late" with no expected delivery date. One took so long I ended up calling Nordstrom and they gave me a refund and then several days later the package showed up out of the blue after being lost with no update for two weeks. The other two have just been marked as "in transit, arriving late" and they're both custom Christmas presents for my daughter that I likely won't have time to replace before Christmas if they end up getting lost.
@windycitygirl36 I'm also 17 weeks and I think in the past couple days I was able to confirm that I feel baby move. I feel a bubble popping like sensation as well as tiny pokes. Now I also have gas 😅, but when it's baby it seems like it stays in the same area.
@texas_t I hope so! And I’m sure they will but I’m also one of those people who obsessively check for tracking updates so I’m just torturing myself I’m also one of those people whose usually done shopping and wrapping obnoxiously early but I just couldn’t get my ish together this year and then I kept thinking of stuff and adding on crap to buy. I think I’m finally done though (except for 2 gift cards) so now it’s just waiting!
Got a nice long walk in with DH and dog this morning before the rain! Also going to attempt to make gluten free sugar cookie cutouts today 😊🍪 Also, my dog's Christmas sweater finally arrived and I really feel like it completes our living room decor 😂
That's too funny @ruby0902. Your dog and mine have similar taste 😅 pics in spoiler because I got carried away, but basically he has everything in that pattern and color, all year long!
See the toy basket in this one too on the top right 😅
Lol @ruby0902 and @mimser --I just dressed my big guy in his buffalo plaid yesterday to go get our Christmas tree (also I am SO behind on decorating--I have not been in the mood and actually just put away the last of the Halloween stuff last week 🙈)
I officially feel baby move 😊 I felt a few things then I put my hand on my belly (usually when I do that it stops), and I felt it on my hand! So I called my fiancé and he put his hand on and within not even a minute we felt a really strong kick! 😍 So amazing, I'm so glad he caught it. 17w6d today
