Who or what is being a pain in the rear this week?


I'm nominating a friend from my last BMB. She recently did IVF to be a surrogate and has been sharing tips with me (baby was born a few months ago). When I told her I got the positive beta she said 'well I hope it doubles' and it just put me off. Like, let's hope for the best here, not be a Debbie Downer. It just bothered me, I guess I wanted only positive vibes. I know she means well but I can't stop thinking about it. I haven't told a lot of people and my other friends have just been excited for me. Like yes, I get it, stuff can happen, but I want to just stay positive right now. IDK, I'm sure the hormones are making me crankier than normal!

    @claireloSC Wow. That's not nice. She should know that we have enough of the negative in our heads already, and that you just need positivity! 

    Hmmm...I guess I can vent about a client of mine. They no-showed me for their appointment last night, despite me texting them multiple times to confirm they were still on my schedule (they're a little flaky, and I had someone else who wanted to come see me in that time spot, so I was double-checking they weren't going to cancel). I charged them a no-show fee, which is our office policy, and they texted me this morning that they "just got their phone back" and saw all of my messages (over the past week). It's just annoying that they were basically ignoring me all week and then when money became involved, they finally had the time to respond to me. I'm very lenient on the no-show charge policy, and find any excuse to waive the fee if I can, so it frustrates me when people get angry about me enforcing policy.

    @claireloSC Very insensitive.  I think we all have those "friends" who just always say the wrong thing, or just can't be positive about things not happening to them.  

    @shoogapoff People with no common decency are the worst.  They don't see, or appreciate how others bend over backwards to help them.  Rude!

    I'm sharing an office with my husband right now and I always do my best to be quiet during his daily morning calls.  I keep the kids of of here, try not to schedule my own calls during that time... I had a call and within 30 seconds of me being on it, he burps super loud.  Okay.  I put myself on mute and let it slide.  THEN HE STARTS SHREDDING DOCUMENTS.  For any "The Office" fans out there, picture Dwight shredding in his lap while Jim is on the phone.  Then he immediately gets a phone call and starts talking SO LOUDLY I finally turned around and said "Are you serious? Get the hell out of here.."
    Like.. no self-awareness folks.  When he started shredding paper I almost lost my mind.

    @ladyk127 I'm sorry but that is frigging hilarious. LOL! But yeah that sounds super annoying. Who does that?

    I’m in a new position at a new company. I am an assistant office manager. My office manager has been with the company 6 years (smaller family practice) and has worked her way up from working the check in desk. Which is GREAT! But she is young and has no other work experience. It gets aggregating to me with some of the stuff she does but have to always remember her life setting and frame reference. 
    34 Mother of 4 year old and 2 Labs. Happily Married to my Hubs of 6 years.

    @claireloSC uhhh yeah, bye bitch! Anything other than an enthusiastic “congratulations SO happy for you!!!!!” is unwelcome 🤣

    I have a coworker who is being a TW right now. She’s one of those people who thinks her life is sOoOo hard and that no one can understand her struggles. Irritating 🙄

    @ladyk127 kudos to you for sharing a workspace with your spouse. I couldn’t do it. During quarantine when we were working from home we took turns working from the office and the kitchen table because we annoyed each other so much. 😂

    My neighbor just installed some type of muffler system on his car. It is SO loud when he starts his car. He leaves the house everyday around 5 am and wakes me up every damn time.

    @surrenderdorothy usually we do okay, but he's a snacker and the chewing makes me crazy.  I'd almost prefer the paper shredding.
    My muffler is currently falling off of my Murano for some reason (it was fine until DH brought it in to get the oil changed) so I'm thinking mine sounds the same as your neighbor's right now lol luckily I dont really go anywhere right and and park in the garage so no one can really hear it  :#
