Cerclage anyone?

Has anyone had a cervical cerclage? My cervix was measuring 2.5cm last week and dropped to 1.5cm this week. I’m getting a cerclage as soon as I get COVID test results. Hoping to hear some positive outcomes! I’m only 19 weeks.

I'm sorry. That's so scary. I've never had one, but have known several women who HAVE. They have only had positive outcomes WITH the cerclage, although all delivered before 37w once the sutures were removed.

@jenn622-2 I’ve never had one, so I don’t have any advice there, but just wanted to say that I hope everything goes well and it helps keep that baby cooking as long as possible!

Never had one as well but I have one friend who had it for two of her pregnancies. She had great results and delivered healthy babies!

@bblair24 on Tuesday. The wait has been nerve wracking. So afraid something will go wrong before it gets done. I think they pushed it out longer than they would have because of the holiday

Had my cerclage placed yesterday and it went so much better than I anticipated. It was obviously an uncomfortable procedure but this morning I feel no pain at all and baby’s heartbeat is going strong. Kinda surprising to feel no pain and have barely any bleeding. So relieved it’s done and looking forward to baking this baby for at least 17 more weeks - 20 weeks today!

@jenn622-2 Glad the procedure went well! I had a cerclage put in a month ago as well. Hang in there, and yes, let's bake these babies a while longer!!!
