Monday - DH's famous salmon Tuesday - wings (yes, their still in my freezer, I need to find a good recipe.) Wednesday - Mac & Cheese Thursday - Hamburgers
I ordered everything again this week. I’m feeling like making our fave ginger scallops (so excited to be able to hopefully stomach seafood again), but had such a horrible headache when putting our grocery order together that I lost steam and didn’t order the stuff.
So I’ll probably get up energy later this week to make them, but in the meantime it’s still pasta city over here. With some veggie sides. I also tried ordering the meatloaf that sold out last week again, we’ll see if it shows up.
I was inspired by last week's meal plan Monday. My husband picked up 15 lbs of boneless chicken chunks and 10 lbs of chicken thigh on Saturday, while I made 6(x4) marinades. Took 3 hours but I have 24 chicken packets that can be thawed and thrown in a frying pan and served with rice (or pasta) or something else if I'm in a creative mood. Veggie is whatever needs to be eaten next.
So I am lucky to have some food brought in by my MIL and mother this week since I am not cooking for at least another week.
Here's what we got: Greek baked giant beans Greek beef stew Squash and roasted pepper
Some easy stuff to suggest my fiancé to make this week: Sausages with warm beets and caramelized apples Salmon mac and cheese Cauliflower and white beans soup Caramelized tofu
This should take us to the end of the week, but we also have steaks, trout, chicken legs, tofu, tempeh and scallops in the freezer.
Hi! My MIL is in town and, like @mimser, she's providing food! So, Filipino food mostly? Which we all love, so that's fine with me!
I was on a McDonald's breakfast kick lately, but I'm trying to be healthier. So, I picked up cottage cheese, sunflower seeds, avocado, and tomato for breakfast for the next week. Cottage cheese sounds delicious right now, so I'm pretty excited, lol.
Greek and Filipino food?!?! So jealous. I’ve kind of given up on planning and just winging it as it’s been busy in a few ways.
However, this weekend I am making Thanksgiving food at home! Yay! Got a smoked turkey from Costco! Then on Thanksgiving we will be eating our traditional Mexican food feast. I’m looking forward to stuffing my face after a lot of work.
Still considering getting a deep fryer to that I can make all of the yummy restaurant style appetizers that I miss.
