    • How far along/EDD? 8+3/ 6/26
    • How are you feeling this week?  Sometimes a little better, sometimes I can't move
    • Rants/Raves? Questions?  Another great ultrasound today.  I'm so relieved.  HB was 178 and baby looks like a little gummy bear.
    • Upcoming appointments?  Intake appt with OB office tomorrow
    • GTKY: How are you doing with the new surge? impacted by additional lock downs? I'm just trying to be careful.  I wear a mask out in public and don't really go anywhere.  H is a little more social and while he has the antibodies (for now) it still worries me.

    • How far along/EDD? Almost 34 weeks 😱
    • How are you feeling this week? Actually... a little better. I’m only throwing up like once a day this week, usually at night and I’ve been able to eat during the day. I’ve been actually getting some things done - got my sons bed sheets changed, his room picked up, playroom cleaned, and most of the Christmas decor out, and about half of it up. I might really go crazy and make dinner. I also started the nursery.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? We got my son a nugget- omg so worth every penny.
    • Upcoming appointments? Infusions are three times a week now and US every two.
    • GTKY: How are you doing with the new surge? impacted by additional lock downs?  Feeling a little freaked out with the additional tightening of standards and the birth being so close. Being in Vermont I had relaxed a little, but we had a nasty surge after two Halloween parties in the north part of the state. I just want her to get here safely! I’m so paranoid about catching it now while I am so vulnerable.

    • How are you feeling this week? A little better, I think? Still getting nauseous, though less often. When I do I’m more likely to throw up, though, so trade offs?
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Found out at my first midwife appointment that DH was actually allowed to come (not allowed at RE). Now with the new lockdowns they changed the policy to no visitors. Bummed he missed his chance at seeing early US/HB because we didn’t know! Last time I had an anterior placenta so couldn’t feel kicks until about 5 months - hoping for earlier this time!
    • Upcoming appointments? NT scan 11/30
    • GTKY: How are you doing with the new surge? impacted by additional lock downs? Braved Costco last weekend for butter/flour/baking supplies, so I’m set for awhile. Honestly we were being pretty careful anyway, so this newest 4 week restriction doesn’t change too much for us.
    ETA tags :)
@laurad75 hope your OB intake goes well today!
@the_road_to_oz we love our nugget! I imagine it’ll be a sanity saver this winter, too! Glad you’re feeling a little better and got to be productive!

    • How are you feeling this week?  Fine.  I haven't had much nausea for the past couple weeks.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions?  I've been having bleeding or spotting for the past couple of weeks.  Anyone else have this?  The ultrasounds are fine and every time I go in, the RE seems to have a different reason about why this is happening.  This week his said it was related to the placenta sinus.  Whatever the reason, it's concerning to see blood.  It makes me nervous to do anything (even going for walks is scary because sometimes I bleeds afterwards).
    • Upcoming appointments?  I have another ultrasound with me RE next Tuesday.  He was nice and offered me one per week before I graduate to an OB in a couple weeks.
    • GTKY: How are you doing with the new surge? impacted by additional lock downs? We are careful anyway.  I work from home and my DH only works with one other person (and they both social distance and wear masks).  We don't see anyone because our families are far away.  The additional lock downs won't really change anything for us.
  • @late_bloomer I'm sorry.  I'm sure that is really unnerving so I'm glad the RE is giving you weekly ultrasounds.  Hang in there!

  • @late_bloomer I’m sorry you’re dealing with bleeding. I bled on and off during mine from about 6 weeks-13 weeks. Every US was fine and my dr basically said it was due to a borderline low placenta and as soon as it moved up the bleeding stopped. It was so nerve wracking and I took it pretty easy during the first trimester and one day it just stopped. Hopefully that’ll be the case for you as well!!

    • How are you feeling this week? Better than I was last week that one day I had really bad indigestion.  Minor discomforts continue but nothing especially bad.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Contractor was supposed to come start my kitchen project today.  However one of his guys had a baby over the weekend (I'm assuming the guy's lady had the baby  :D) and he had to push me back to next Monday because he's been short staffed.  Oh, and my husband is planning to cook for Thanksgiving!  So that should be interesting.  I've been told the kitchen project should only take 2 days but I still have no idea what to expect.  Fortunately I attended a sorority alumnae Zoom meeting last night where we did a guided meditation exercise and now I am feeling zen.  What will be will be, ommmm.
    • Upcoming appointments? Telehealth appt on 11/24.  No one has mentioned my glucose test yet.  I'll ask about it next week...
    • GTKY: How are you doing with the new surge? impacted by additional lock downs? We have been being very careful all this year so our habits won't be changing much.  Even though we have our "COVID pod" of people we see (my sister's family and my dad) I worry about whether or not we need to cut back on that at all.  I know that they are all being cautious too but with numbers surging and the leading cause being small social gatherings it gives me pause.  I don't want to see any of my loved one getting this disease.
  • @late_bloomer fwiw, I’ve had bleeding several times with this pregnancy 🤷‍♀️ We are 34 weeks, and she seems to be fine.

@cashewchicken that’s the one! It gets played with daily in our house, and makes a decently comfy wfh setup for me when I can snag it 😆
    • How far along/EDD? 24+5, 3/6/2020
    • How are you feeling this week? Good! A little tired and my hips have been uncomfortable but overall good.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Well, my pregnancy emotions have finally kicked in. I get emotional more easily now and I tend to not be too emotional normally. I cried the other day because my husband didn’t vacuum like he said he would. Seriously?? Lol recently the thought of not doing normal traditions for the holidays due to the pandemic is making me sad. But I’m getting through it and focusing on our little guy. We started setting up the nursery and it’s been a blast! Just waiting for the dresser to be delivered and then his room will have all the big furniture items. Next we will hang decor on the walls!
    • Upcoming appointments? Glucose test on Monday 11/23! I’ve been tracking macros my entire pregnancy to ensure I’m not overeating or overindulging in unhealthy foods. But I’m still so nervous for this test. I’m expecting to pass but a part of me is nervous I won’t.
    • GTKY: How are you doing with the new surge? impacted by additional lock downs? I’m hanging in there. Some days I’m ok, other days I’m just sad about about it means for the holidays, baby showers, having the excitement of friends and family seeing my bump grow. I tend to be very social and love face to face time with those I love. So it’s been hard not seeing everyone and changing plans for the holidays. Struggling with the virtual showers... it’s nothing what I’ve ever envisioned and after all we have been through to get here, it just stinks. Ok, done with the pity party!
  • @laurad75, @mtpbadger, and @the_road_to_oz - thank you all for the reassurance!  It's good to hear success stories   :)
  • @late_bloomer same here girl. Every time I went to the bathroom was dreadful BUT it stopped around 10 or 11 weeks and baby is doing just fine 💙
  • @late_bloomer
I also bled and spotted regularly from several days before my beta to 12 weeks. The RE and OB couldn't find a reason but it was super scary and they wanted me to take it easy as much as possible (no heavy chores, etc). I felt like crap overall with all-day nausea and fatigue so it was pretty easy to take that advice since I largely worked from home anyway. Whenever I went into the office, I would be checking every 30 minutes for bleeding.
But everything turned out fine and baby girl was perfect!

    @Kimbrlyg814
Just focus on the hope that next year when your baby is here, the holidays will be even more special (and hopefully back to some kind of normal). Also plan some special things that you -can- do....like getting some new decorations, planning a nice meal, and just trying to make it magical even though it's going to be so different this year. I think this is the hardest stretch as far as sacrifices to fight covid -- usually I'm so busy during the holidays going to parties, planning our own celebrations with family, etc -- and now it's just going to be the three of us at home. So I'm doing extra decorating, cooking a fancy Christmas Eve dinner and got a fun advent calendar for the little one to open each day.  Just browsing new decorations made me feel more upbeat about everything, honestly.
