How are you feeling?: OK, really, really cranky, but otherwise not much to complain about.

Rants/Raves: This is a rant and a rave, we started telling people, and so far everyone is really excited for us, and it's so nice to share. I told the big boss in charge of my department on Friday, and she reacted so well. I told her I would announce at our weekly department meeting on Tuesday. I know I should tell my other two bosses (the ones I report to directly) before then, and not spring it on them in front of everyone, but I really don't want to. I'm scared of their reactions (for no good reason), and I don't want to have to have a long one on one conversation about it.

How are you feeling?: I’m so pleased to say that my nausea is much better. I haven’t taken a zofran since Friday, I have puked once each morning randomly (mainly due to a smell, opening the fridge etc) but I do feel better afterward. My appetite isn’t the best but overall I feel on the upswing

Rants/Raves: hmm.. I’m annoyed with how much work I have in my inbox this week. Raving because I was so worried about my daughter possibly having COVID after finding out her best friends mom and dad both tested positive (and she spent Halloween with their daughter) but luckily her best friends test just came back negative today.

GTKY: Did you go to college? If so, what did you major in? If not, what did you do post high school? I have a masters in Intelligence Studies and a minor in terrorism studies. (Random I know but I was in intel ops with the Air Force in the past).

How are you feeling?: I started spotting this weekend. Spent 6 hours at ER last night, they couldn't get the hb on the doppler so I go back today. 🤞🤞

Rants/Raves: I'm exhausted. Didn't get home until 2am and my daughter was up before 6.

Ive gone to university three times. 1) Early childhood education
2) business administration
3) accounting assistant

Rants/Raves: I work for a large health system running a couple of our labs and our COVID numbers are sky rocketing pretty quick, it's scary. I have a few employees out now too so I'm just hoping it doesn't spread through all of my teams. We also have SIL's wedding this weekend and I just can't wait for it to be over at.this point. Rave: my boss is supposed to be reviewing my pay with HR because I took on a new site when one of our other directors left...🤞for a decent raise even though I'm sure it will be pennies compared to all the extra work I have taken on

@dlynn484 we try not to let them influence our name choices. When we were thinking of names for DS, we never discussed names with either side. My parents never really asked and knew we were keeping it a secret until he was born. MIL has to be involved with everything and constantly asked and threw out names when we saw them, but we didn't use any of them. We do tend to gravitate towards more traditional names so I'm usually not too worried what people will think

@dlynn484 we don't let them influence out name choices. But we're incredibly lucky in that both my parents and ILs are the type who respect us, and don't try to influence us. But also, all our boys are named after relatives and/or family/great Rabbis, so none of the names are a surprise. (In fact my FIL likes to make a game out of guessing what the name will be, he has about a 50% track record.)
We did pick my second's name over the runner up because my Grandmother was still alive, and we knew she would appreciate it, (he's named for her father), so I guess we do let others influence us a little, but it's more we respect them, and want to do something that would be meaningful to them. No one ever requested we use the name, and if we hadn't liked it, we wouldn't have used it.
