Symptoms Thread 11/07

How far along are you?

How are you feeling this week?

Re: Symptoms Thread 11/07

  • 13+1.  Feel like the insane level of exhaustion has consistently given way to just regular tired now over the past few days. 🙏🏽

    I had a splitting headache at my bday dinner Mon night. I had no appetite (ate a big lunch that day) and almost lost my cookies when I smelled hubby’s fish entree. So that was fun! Luckily there was some Tylenol in the kit at the Airbnb and I felt better by the next day.

    I had some brown flecks in otherwise clear discharge first thing Thurs morning and then again just barely yesterday. So of course I flipped out and ordered a home Doppler. I think it might be because I started walking again this week and took a pretty long trail walk Tues with some hills.

    Finally, I think my uterus has started to migrate up ‘cause the top of my bump is filling out a bit. Makes me happy. :)

    Feeling good! Anyone else’s bump sore? For me sleeping on my side is sort of achy near the top left of my bump. None of the cramping feels like period cramps but it’s also not nothing.

    @ec1212 my small amount of brown spotting/flecks at 11 weeks happened after a 4 mile walk. I’m sure you’re right about your walk!

  • How far along are you? 14 weeks!

    How are you feeling this week? I’ve been extra nauseous this week but some of that may have been election anxiety. I’ve also been getting headaches and I’ve got some killer constipation but keep forgetting to take miralax.

    @gusgus14 what is Miralax?
  • @mimser it’s for constipation.

    Feeling ok...the insomnia is terrible at night, if I get woken up it takes me hours to go back to sleep. I had a terrible headache yesterday so I'm hoping it was because I was tired and isn't telling of what's to come! I had a few weeks of bad headaches with DS so I'm nervous about that happening again.

  • @mimser if you like kiwi they are a natural laxative and kept things very well controlled for me last pregnancy. I ate one every day and it was the only way I stayed regular!

  • @spartan4life oh thank you! I think I'll go get some at the store today as I can't get them in our weekly orders. They're also really high in vitamin C!

    How are you feeling this week? Horrible acid reflux/heart burn the past few days. Zantac helped in my last two pregnancies but now it's been taken off the shelves. Tums work okay. It ruins my appetite so it's hard.
  • @julianne0 yup, let the heartburn begin...

    I'm so glad I read this post. I had a headache on Friday and yesterday that I couldn't shake. I guess it sounds like y'all have been in the same boat recently, I'm sorry!

  • I second @texas_t 's comment!

    I've been waking up almost daily with headaches with knots in my right shoulder blade and tension that extends up through my neck and into my skull. Not pleasant!! They go away as I get moving for the day but not a good way to wake up. I think it has to with my increased side sleeping... prior to 2nd tri, I was a back sleeper all the way.  Pregnancy pillow comes today though!

    I'm 15w today 🤗
  • I read in one of the apps that headaches are a hallmark of early second tri. It seems as soon as I read it, I got one. Not into it. 🙅🏽‍♀️ Luckily they haven’t cropped up again, but I now have Tylenol in every bag ‘cause I’m a big baby. (Tylenol never did anything for my headaches pre-preg so it’s prob a placebo effect but I’m grateful for it.)
  • @ec1212 Yes! I just bought more tylenol to divvy up between everywhere I go!

    Also, I've been having vag/pubic pain.  When I stand up, sometimes it feels like a really sharp jab.  I thought it was too early for lightening crotch, I'm guessing it's just weird ligaments and stuff.

  • @texas_t I’ve been having the vag pain too!

    Tylenol doesn’t do squat for me and I’ve been getting headaches somewhat regularly (I’m already prone to them outside of pregnancy). Thankfully my MFM doc okayed Excedrin tension and it seems to do the trick for me.
  • @texas_t @gusgus14 could you have SPD? I had it really bad with DS#2, and it was awful. With DS#3 I got a support belt, and it was much better, not sure if it was thanks to the belt or not.
  • @mrosek91 could be! I had the same pain last time but it didn’t get bad enough for a belt. Hopefully the same this time.
  • @mrosek91 You know, now that you mention it, it may be.  Around 20 weeks last time, I had of lot of spd symptoms.  Getting dresses was horrible because lifting my right leg was excruciating.  I guess I forgot about it until you mentioned it.  Yay, now it's happening earlier, lol!

  • 🙋‍♀️ Guess who woke up with a headache today?
  • @mimser Man, I'm sorry.  I had one Monday, was good yesterday, and now I have one today.  The worst.

  • @texas_t how does yours feel? Mine starts a bit like throbbing above my left eyebrow and then moves to between my eyebrows
  • Mine is on top. If I had devil horns, that's where my headache would be, lol

  • @texas_t if it gets real bad let me know! I have lots of exercises and tricks that help me. A belt helped a ton later in my pregnancies as well. I’ve had 7 serious hip surgeries on my right hip, all through the same scar but it’s 28 inches long down my leg/hip/butt. So I’m just a hot mess there when pregnant and already have a lot of pains, even referred pain to my lower back, sciatica pain, etc. I’ve tried allllllll the things! Warm baths are my friend!
  • Throw me in the headache group!

  • @brynn_mamaof4 Thank you! yeah, I'm getting vag pain and referred pain down my thigh.  My body is very reactive to relaxin and I typically get a lot of SI Joint pain, but it seems to be affecting my groin area this time around.  I'd love to see some exercises if you have them handy!

    @yellingbanana I'm so sorry you're in the headache group.  It's a great group - we complain a lot  :D
