Re: Healthy Habits W/O 11.9

  • What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week?
*Drinking more water, eating at home

    How's everything going?
*I didn’t do well eating at home last week, so really focusing on that this week. I also have been waking up in the middle of the night thirsty, so I’m trying to increase my water intake during the day to prevent that.

What has you motivated or struggling this week?
*Ive been having a lot of headaches lately (my guess is from looking at screens all day) and it’s made me really want some caffeine.

What's a "small win" you have from last week?
*nothing from last week, but I’m 39 days soda free!

  • @chindimples04 I don’t know if this would work for everyone (I’m crazy goal oriented, I tend to only do well if I have concrete goals), but I made a water bottle with times on it and make myself hit the goals every hour. They definitely sell water bottles like this, but they were more aggressive than I wanted so I made my own.

What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week? Running every day, even if it is sometimes just a token mile to check a box.

How's everything going? I am not doing so great with diet (ate restaurant food 3x this weekend 😬) but I am doing well with exercise so I have chosen to focus on this for now.

What has you motivated or struggling this week? I have been telling myself that if I want to run while pregnant, I need to establish good habits now. When I don’t feel like running, I can convince myself that I am doing it for the health of my future child. It is a stretch I know, but the thought is helping me. I also bought a book about healthy eating during pregnancy and I’m going to read it. I usually get motivated reading things like that.

What's a "small win" you have from last week? Ran a cumulative 28 km / 17.4 mi last week!
  • @fitzfizz I have alarms on my phone to finish and refill my water bottle throughout the day. If I follow it, I should get 60 oz in, but I’ve been kind of bad about drinking water in the morning. 🙈 Keep killing the running goal! You are doing great!

  • @chindimples04 39 days soda free! That's amazing! Congrats! I might have mentioned this in another thread, but the night shift setting on my computer helps my migraines quite a bit.

@fitzfizz great mileage last week! Let us know if the book's worth a read :)

What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week?
I'm trying to close the exercise ring on my Apple Watch every day this week. That means 30 "exercise minutes" a day.

How's everything going? Diet's not great right now. I've been really hungry the last two days which is typical when I start working out again, but I'm making poor choices instead of packing/seeking out healthy snacks. I've worked out the last three days, though, so at least there's that.

What has you motivated or struggling this week? I'm reminding myself that getting to a healthy weight will only help with TTC, and it's something that I can be in control of. So I'm keeping that in mind whenever I struggle to get the motivation to work out.

What's a "small win" you have from last week? I finally got the courage to ask my physician for a nutritionist referral. I've never really had a hard time losing weight, but my 30s seem to be a whole new animal. I'm hoping they call me to set up the appointment soon.
