Sometimes I get annoyed about how slow this board it, but then I don't post that much either, so I'm part of the problem. I'm trying to remember if my last BMB was this slow, and I can't. I really don't know if this is typical, or if it's because we're all stuck at home, and have nothing exciting to talk about.
@mrosek91 I’m fairly sure my last board was way more active but I feel like we also had a lot more people and we basically chatted all day in the weekly randoms
@mrosek91@gusgus14 I've totally been thinkimg the same thing. But this is my first BMB that I've actually participated in so I thought maybe ot was normal. I probably posted twice max in my last BMB. Probably because somehow I forgot and would just answer questions on the app. I was devastated when they removed the questions section. I wasn't sire what to do. That probably why I've actually been posting this time around.
I'm also still getting a hang of how it works, so all of a sudden I find a post from two days ago that I somehow missed.
I've almost starting to lurk in the threads that I don't apply to just to see where the activity is.
I also think that the board is so organized it feels a bit formal. Before, everything was so random and people would gang up and be snarktastic on one off ramzi theory posts and stuff like that, lol. Snarkiness brings people together, haha.
I agree with all of you! My Oct 2018 BMB was very active and I couldn't keep up almost. I do feel bad because I am so busy at work right now with a huge project and the pandemic (lab director) so I just don't have as much time as I used to...and by the time I get home I'm exhausted and go to be when DS goes to bed between 7:30-8am 😴
I look at the board like 100 times a day, and I feel like I either have nothing to say or I'm lazy to respond 😅 I'll try to be a little bit more spontaneous 😜
I’m fine with the amount of posts here because I can keep up with everything 😂😂 also my last BMB was way less pleasant, people would gang up on each other and had people who thought they were “in charge” of the board who just seemed like crappy people. I like this board WAY better!
@ccmrc143 my old group just kind of talked about whatever. Just lots of random chatting throughout the day and still going strong just on Facebook instead of TB.
@littlelibelula - I'm gluten free, so DH and I buy the Sabatasso's 3-pack from Costco and then I add my own toppings (usually pepperoni 😁) it's pretty good! Eating the whole thing was a terrible idea though....I was up all night with heartburn and gas bloat! Such a good idea at the time though...lol.
@brynn_mamaof4 - I'm with you!! I find that delivery is usually a lot more greasy and limits my ability to carb load 😂
I have leftover delivery pizza in the fridge and can’t wait to eat it for breakfast.
@ruby0902 I also used to be mostly gluten-free (since ‘04, and then paleo from ‘16) but that all changed after my pescatarian, mashed potato-loving husband moved in, a pandemic started and then I got knocked up. And thank goodness since carbs are now life. I’m hoping to go back to it when I can stomach it...also this little man will be a meat-eater until he decides otherwise so that will make it more economical to eat meat again.
Glad it's not just me. I definitely thought this board was slower, but I was worried it was just my wonky memory. @ccmrc143 we would talk about all sorts of things. Mostly what was going on in our lives, but it would branch into other random discussions. Sometimes I think of something to post, but then I don't because I feel like I'm over-posting in randoms, or I don't feel like I have something meaningful to respond to people who have already posted, and I don't want to seem like I'm only talking about myself without engaging. But I'm going to try and and be more active.
