Re: Product Spotlight: Diaper Bags

  • There are so many out there, and it's all personal preference, but IMHO a backpack is the way to go.  Having a totally hands-free bag while carrying a baby is so key.

We have the JuJuBe Be Right Back and love it. We got it in a charcoal gray color so my husband wouldn't comfortably wear it.  I recently got a new one on amazon expecting I'd need something a tad bigger with 2 kids and I think it might do the trick.  The finishes aren't as nice as the BRB but it's also far cheaper.  My only complaint about the BRB is the price as it is pretty expensive, but considering it still looks brand new after 3 years, I guess it's alright.

  • I’m with @juliebeannn and think a backpack is the way to go. Means DH can wear it too plus it’s just more comfortable to carry. Not sure which brand we had with DS but I’ll just look for something on amazon.

  • @juliebeannn I love Jujube bags, they are machine washable. 🙌

  • I was gifted a diaper insert that you could use in any type of bag. After using it for a while, I realized that my scatterbrain self couldn’t remember what I put in all those different compartments. Also, to have a leather bag full of baby gear slung on my shoulder wasn't working out for me. Backpack for for the win! I had a standard Fjällräven Kånken. Inside I had a diaper caddy (wipes and diapers for the day) a very thin changing mat, change of clothes, toys/snacks, wallet, phone, keys and a small cosmetics purse. Perfect for our little outings!

  • Last time we had a messenger bag style, but we're thinking backpack style this time. I'm actually eyeing the one @juliebeannn posted!

  • I'm thinking of going with a convertible style - backpack with shoulder straps, maybe LilyJade. I want to be able to strap it to the stroller or carry it on my back.
