I have a cat named Muesli. She's 13 years old and addicted to laps, when she's not sleeping in her "hidey hole" (i.e. the carrier that's behind the curtain), bed, or "sun lounger" (not pictured, it's a cardboard scratch pad just to the right of the bed)
Here she is warming her butt on the vent after the heat kicked on the other morning:
Ooo love this thread idea! I have two dogs, Rue (chocolate lab 6 years old) and River (golden retriever 1 year) who are my babies. We also have two cats, Shit Rock and Daisy. AND... 9 chickens, 2 ducks (Quacklemore and Duckter Dre) and my horse Cowboy
This is Zeus! He is a 7 year old Australian Shepherd and Boxer mix. We took him to Europe for a year of travel. This was his favorite place, Switzerland.
We also have a cat named Tiger. She lives up to her name.
@_orchid_@mindyb2019 Haha great question! So my husband and I are big fans of the Canadian TV show “Trailer Park Boys” (available on Netflix), and one of the main characters, Bubbles, absolutely loves kitties and basically houses all the cats in the trailer park and gives them very funny names which we’ve adopted over the years for our cats.... so our first cat was Purr Monster, then we had Shit Rock and Nurr Nurr, and then we had Gary Laser Eyes, and now Daisy (sadly we’ve lost a few over the years)
Here’s my Molly. We adopted her early last year from another family who didn’t want her anymore. I fell in love as soon as I saw her. *edited to put pic in spoiler to take up less room
This is our pup, Juno. A 3 year old Bernese. We got her a week before we found out we were pregnant with DD. She and DD are playing together more now. It is so cute.
Trying this again since I can't seem to change the other one!
Mischa, 13 years old, siberian cat- like a maine coon but as hypoallergenic as cats can be (DH is allergic but fine with her). She's very social and so happy we're home so much right now
@_orchid_ I almost named my cat Mysha/Myshka (not sure why I didn't)! As a kitten she was super tiny, like a little gray mouse. It would have been perfect. Muesli is also super happy we're home all the time, I'm a little worried about how she'll take it when we eventually go back in the office.
@akoros I like the name Muesli! She gets anxiety when we go on vacation and when we all go back to school/daycare in September after being off for the summer, so I can't imagine how it's going to after whatever this ends up being
Here's my girl Brittany (her name not her breed). She's a 12 year old rescue mutt and currently living with my parents in CT. They had to take her when she had a legit mental breakdown a few years ago (we were living in a high-rise that gave her crippling anxiety), and now they won't give her back.

My youngest with our very tolerant Shark. We have 3 cats. Yes 3 🤷🏻♀️
Shark was the neighborhood Tom cat that my daughter named. He made appearances on our community page often. Then one day, she brought him in and we took him to the vet and got him fixed and he never went back out 🤷🏻♀️ He’s 2 or 3 per the vet.
We have another void kitty, also named by my 4yo, named Anna (like Frozen) - we thought for sure she would pick Elsa.... but no. SHE was Elsa. Kitty was Anna and it has been. She’s 2.5.
We have a weird Siamese cat who literally lives in the downstairs bathroom. She’s 8. Her name is Finnick after my favorite supporting character in The Hunger Games. Finney doesn’t care that she has a boys name though.
We have one 13 year old cat, Lilly. She is DS's nurse cat. She started sleeping in his nursery on a chair next to the crib as soon as we brought him home. She would greet me at my door when he cried in the middle of the night. She is so patient with him and never bites or scratches. She just loves him to pieces.
