  • @mc0303 we went to Hawaii in 2019 too! It was so beautiful, we only went to one island but I'm hoping to get to the others one day.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: June 29 / 3+6
    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out asap!! Made bonding better for me than TG
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of:
Upcoming appointments: asking today. Doing early monitoring and went for beta#3 this morning. Not sure when we'll start with US, although assuming I have at least another week or two.
How are you feeling?: fatigue has set in. I have seasonal allergies starting so it's hard to tell which symptoms to attribute to preg vs. allergies
Rants/Raves: I'm glad I'm not really seeing anyone and can wear casual clothes when I do go into work- it's going to make it much easier to keep this secret!
    Questions:
GTKY: What has been your favourite vacation? What made it your favourite? probably our honeymoon. We went to my favorite city that I studied abroad in (Paris) and went around France a bit. It was so nice to not think about wedding planning and to share a place that was so special to me with MH.
  • @mc303 I'm so excited for maternity shopping! I'm glad you've found some stuff you love already!

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 6/26 4 weeks/3 days

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding Out
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Size of a speck of glitter
Upcoming appointments: (Hopefully) last beta on Friday then waiting until 12/3 for my first appointment!
How are you feeling?: Like I'm going to throw up at ay minute (which is seriously a blessing and I'm taking it as a great sign).
Rants/Raves: MH is trying so hard to stock up on my safe foods and I'm so thankful for him! Last night while I was sleeping he made a bunch of stuff in advance so I'd have options today while he's working! Bless this man.
    Questions: Nope
GTKY: What has been your favourite vacation? What made it your favourite? My favorite vacation was my first regional burning man event back in 2017. It was the first time I got to meet so many of the people I now consider my family and I'm THRILLED to be part of this community.

  • @mc0303 same! Although at this point I'm looking at places we can drive to and/or camp erich is making me excited. Thinking about a lot of outside stuff/house rentals.

We also love Hawaii. DH has a lot of work out there so we use to visit multiple times a year. We’ve only taken our oldest once. We should have taken a trip there last spring.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Poppy Seed
Upcoming appointments: My first appointment isn't until the week of Thanksgiving!
How are you feeling?: Nervous. I have had off and on brown spotting the last two days and just now, it's pink. I am also feeling something cramp-ish but I don't know if it's just me thinking it or what.

    *trigger warning* previous loss mentioned
I have had three CP's since Dec so I am just so on edge with the spotting.

Rants/Raves: I've never had to wait until 10 weeks (it's a new thing due to COVID) for a first appointment and it is driving me crazy!
Questions: Is anybody else having brown/pink spotting with what might be my crazy a$s thinking is also light cramps?
GTKY: What has been your favourite vacation? What made it your favourite? With two kids, vacations were usually to theme parks. We were supposed to go on a Disney cruise this month but obviously had to postpone due to COVID. I'd like to think it would have been awesome. Hoping to go on the cruise next year with two kids and a 4 month old!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Poppy seed
Upcoming appointments: I haven't called my OB yet.
How are you feeling?: Already getting random waves of nausea 😵
Rants/Raves: I can go back to work tomorrow! I've been in isolation for 12 days after a Covid exposure and it's nice to get back to my normal routine. My 3 year old has been stir crazy.
Questions: Has anyone had random itching as a pregnancy symptom? My feet and knees have been itching but I can't decide if I'm allergic to something or if this is another weird pregnancy thing. I seem to get the odd problems.
GTKY: What has been your favourite vacation? What made it your favourite? Probably a girls trip, we took two years ago. We went to the beach and I got to read an entire book in one weekend. It was the first time away from my kids and it was so nice to not have to worry about anyone. (That sounds so selfish typing it out, but it was only for 2 days and 1 night and really refreshed me.)
  • @AKuzReve that sounds like an awesome trip, especially taking it with your bff!!

@Omie_Wise I'm kicking myself over the trips we should've taken over the past year. Last year at this time we were debating whether to go to Disney last minute in Nov '19 or plan ahead July '20- we chose wrong!

@marebear15 that sounds like such a refreshing trip! I have a bucket list for things I want to do before 40 and a girl's weekend trip like that is on my list!
  • @_orchid_ Have you gotten the results from your third beta back yet? I know it's still early in the day.
@mc0303 It's so funny how some of the most dreaded symptoms are also the biggest blessings.
@AKuzReve So happy you're over here too! Lots of TTGPers have made their way here.
@notawhoops I'm so sorry you're spotting. Especially with your history I can see why you'd be on edge. Sending you lots of positive vibes!
@marebear15 Back to work day, right? Yay!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: "baby could fit on the end of a shoelace" according to TB lol
Upcoming appointments: Not until 7.5 weeks
How are you feeling?: Pretty good, less fatigued than I was last week/earlier this week. Occasional nausea and sore boobs.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I told my aunt and cousin who I am super close to but cautioned that I am very early and sent the shhh emoji, but they apparently did not get it because they told another cousin and apparently almost told my brother who I am sure would have been very confused to learn that from them  :s  Rave: I have a 90 minute lunch zoom with some work friends today and I am super excited to see everyone.
Questions: None I can think of.
GTKY: What has been your favourite vacation? What made it your favourite? Shortly after DH and I started dating, we went to Vegas for my birthday, and he randomly and very unexpectedly won a large amount of money so we ended up celebrating in a much more fancy manner than expected, and the winnings also ultimately paid for my engagement ring the following year :)

  • @_orchid_ 2020 was going to be our travel year since our littlest turned 1 in February. We would have done Hawaii, gone to Montana to see my husband’s uncle who has since passed, which is why we had planned to go this summer, he was very sick, and we were planning on taking a solo kid free trip once the littlest wasn’t nursing as often. Totally sucks. If things calm down we can maybe do the kids free trip next spring?? I am not a good baby mommy, I kind of loose an entire year once the baby arrives, so I don’t envision us trying to travel until this Appleseed is a year or older. Obviously not getting to travel like we would have liked isn’t the end of the world but it’s still been a disappointment.

How are you feeling?: Not bad, mostly just bloated. @notawhoops Sort of, I've had some minor brown spotting when I wipe (not on a pad). Last night I did have some minor cramps, but I vaguely remember having similar cramping/spotting towards the beginning of my last pregnancies which was probably implantation. In my last pregnancy I did have light brown spotting for a couple of days around week 6, but it turned out to be nothing. Bottom line, there are a lot of reasons why you might spot, and not all of those reasons are bad. If you're worried try calling your doctor, though this early on they may just tell you to wait (I know, not helpful)
Rants/Raves: Lovely day out, but SO humid. Walked up to get a COVID test and was sweating like crazy
Questions: None right now, still processing it all
GTKY: What has been your favourite vacation? What made it your favourite? Chile, we spent a few days in southern Patagonia on the Strait of Magellan and Torres del Paine, then flew up to the Lake District and finally Santiago. Going to Patagonia was a dream of mine, plus it was just so crazy beautiful and I got to see wild penguins!

@_orchid_ You're right on it being easier with teleworking, when I was pregnant this spring it was lovely to not have to deal with *real* clothes. I also discovered that a pair of leggings I had were perfect for maternity wear (VIV Signature yoga leggings on Amazon). They're super soft and have a higher waistband that wouldn't roll down. If you must wear real pants, a waistband extender/belly band is a lifesaver (also from Amazon, I liked M Like Mama since it came with both an extender and a band to cover it)
  • @ashaislurking betas came back! From 72 to 240 in 48 hours so looks like things are moving along. How are you feeling today?
@legallykate how was your lunch with friends?
@Omie_Wise I hear ya about traveling with baby! I keep trying to talk DH into Disney Nov '21 and he's not having it lol. Hopefully 2022 will be a year of great travel!!
@laurad75 I'll have a RCS too! I actually am missing my commute right now bc it's so scenic this time of year with the leaves changing! So nice you have that view from your window!
@akoros congratulations!! I saw in your intro that you're also taking baby aspirin- was this your first cycle doing that too? I just started this cycle per advice of my RE, and got KU right away. It usually takes me at least 6 months TTCAL  to get KU again, so I'm wondering of it's related. Also SO jealous of your patagonia trip- that's on my bucket list!
  • @_orchid_ That beta rise is great!! I'm feeling okay. Between the diclegis, B6, and some extra nausea lozenges I still haven't gotten sick which is impressive.

  • I just scheduled our first appointment for November 10. Sadly they only had afternoons sooo I will have to go alone sans my H (appt is during DS’ nap time) but I guess most people are used to that in this covid world.

    *Live, Love, Laugh, Learn*

  • @AKuzReve that's something I'm still getting my head around too. MH went to fewer appts for DS2 and wasn't there for the first time I saw the HB (partly bc it was a surprise US- I was heavy red bleeding and my Dr squeezed me in to see what was going on). He did go to the NT and AS though. This time, due to covid, we probably won't have childcare so idk if he'll come to any.
  • @_orchid_ I can't remember when I started taking baby aspirin, but it was recently so it was either my first or second cycle taking it every day. It could be that, it could also be the Vitamin D3 I started taking a little over a year ago. Prior to taking it we'd been trying for about a year. In that time I did have some blood tests that showed that my levels were low (first one was really low so my GP put me on Rx-strength for a bit, next two were right on the line between "low" and "normal" so I figured it couldn't hurt to add it to my prenatal). Once I started taking it I got pregnant in about 3 months the first time, 3rd cycle the second, and now 2 cycles (and last I checked my D-levels were solidly in the normal range). It could be a coincidence, but I'm kind of a believer.

@AKuzReve @_orchid_ My doctor still isn't letting any visitors in, so I have to go it alone.
  • @akoros wow! The RE told me at the 1st appt to start taking vitamin D stat (me and DH) without even doing any testing. We're in the NE so she said everyone in our area is deficient lol. MH has been taking D for years but I just started in July. Based on your timeline it seems like it made a big difference for you!
  • @_orchid_ It's super common to have a deficiency, and unless you really go crazy it won't hurt you to take a supplement. My OB-GYN wasn't concerned about it at the time, but I read that it can definitely play a role in fertility. I remember something about how it works with AMH, which for me was also normal but on the lower side of normal, which might be why it made a difference?
  • @akoros maybe! I'm definitely going to keep taking it, especially during this pregnancy.
