We met on EHarmony in 2015 and met in person on 4/2 about a month after we first started chatting. Our first date was at a pizza place and I'd accidentally double booked myself to have drinks with a friend afterward but I saw him walking down the street as I was looking for parking and knew it was him. Our first date had weird conversations that became inside jokes we still go with today. It wasn't butterflies and sparks and tension and all that...it was like sitting down with your best friend you haven't seen in ages and catching up...he was like coming home. Been that way ever since.

My husband and I met in kindergarten. We were friendly growing up in our small town but didn't become close friends until our senior year. We started dating the summer after we graduated high school and have been together ever since!

We went to high school together but barely knew each other back then. We reconnected 12 years later on Facebook because he posted a picture and Tagged my Theater teacher in it. I liked the picture and he thought "oh she remembers me!" (I didn't lol), he sent me a friend request and the rest is history. 😂 We got married about a year later.

My husband and I met working at a summer camp!! We were best friends all summer and decided to go on a date when the summer was over. We worked there together for two more summers after that while we finished up university.

We met at church! We were in the same church band - he played electric guitar, I sang. We were friendly and he asked for my number. We had one phone chat and didn't talk again for like a year. One day a year later, we were talking after service and we got so engrossed in convo that we didn't notice that everyone else had left. He talked me to my car and asked if he could call me that night and he did...the rest is history. Turns out we both thought the other talked too much after that first phone call. We still joke about it now.

My husband and I met online. Our first date we met up at a coffee shop, and it was just supposed to be meeting and talking but we ended up going to lunch and then a movie after. He hugged me at the end and I totally thought he was just into it as friends. He didn’t kiss me until our 5th date so I was convinced up until that point that he just enjoyed hanging out and we were going to be buddies instead 😂 Turned out he was just a very patient person (and also a little nervous) lol

We met online (okcupid lol) and our first date was pretty great, until the end... after dinner, we went to my dorm/apartment to watch a movie. I had been battling a migraine that day but thought the worst was over. Then, out of nowhere, mid-conversation, I threw up aaaaall over my living room, narrowly missing his shoes and keys. It was horrible (I remember wishing the Earth would open up and swallow me whole right then and there), and I was certain he wasn’t calling me back after that lol. To my surprise, he did! And we’ve been together ever since. Though he loves to bring that story up lol

My boyfriend and I met at work. We worked for Amazon and we had close to 2000 people on our shift. He saw me my first day I came for orientation. He said it was love at first sight and he was ready to marry me day 1 lol. He came and found me two days later while I was in training and gave me a box of scissors to process as a gift to boost my hourly rate, haha. He said he was intimidated to talk to me because I looked so serious. (I was focused

) He didn't even tell me his name just told me to take the box and do it as quickly as possible. I thought he was trying to get me in trouble or just giving me work he didn't want.

I was loud and asking a million questions, and he was like, "Just do it." He then walked away fast and I realized he really helped me. I tried looking for him, but couldn't find him again. He found me at lunch and we introduced ourselves and I thanked him for the box. From then on everyday he'd come find me and we talked. He became my reason for picking up OT. He was the highlight of my days. We got along so well and had so much in common with things we went through it was crazy!

Fast forward we are planning on getting married this coming year. He is the best thing besides our little one on the way that's happened to me. We went through a lot of ups and downs based on lies other people told me that almost tore us apart. We even broke up right before I found out we were pregnant. When I told him I was pregnant it erased everything negative and we have been so happy and excited since. I never met someone like him that would stay sweet absolutely no matter what. I still want to pinch myself everyday to make sure I'm not dreaming that this wonderful man is real.

We met in college. First encounter was when he moved a couch into our house for storage (I had 5 roommates in a massive row home). He knew one of my roommates. He gave me his number that day and i thew it out haha. Well then we took the same oceanography class a semester later and since he knew my
roommate who was also taking the class, we all sat together in lecture and got friendly. I ended up going to his apt to do homework one night. We did NOT do homework wink wink. Then he took me out to a cute restaurant downtown and it was official. That was 13 years ago!

We met at a computer science bbq. A guy I met on a train knew the person who invited me and offered to take me to the park. SO was standing from afar looking as bored as I was. Someone introduced us and we got to talking. He invited me to the open air film festival in the neighbouring city. I was trying to give him my number but the guy who took me to the park kept on coming up to me and putting his arms around me almost as if we were on a date. How annoying! I made SO memorize my email and he emailed me that night. We’ve been together for ten years.

I met my husband online (Plenty of Fish) and we talked for like 3 weeks before we even had our first date. He was traveling for work and we both had vacations planned so we just couldn’t make a date work. Instead of just letting the weeks pass before our first date he was adamant that he wanted to actually talk to me over the phone. I thought this was really weird because people don’t really talk on the phone anymore but we talked almost every day! Then when we finally had our date he really went alllll out. Took me to a super nice fine dining restaurant, valet parked the car even though there were a ton of parking spots 😂. He just really swept me off my feet. I knew I would marry him from that day forward.

We met online, too! We had both been in decade-long relationships prior and were having a rough time adapting to the 'dating scene' lol. He was 38 and although he had always wanted a family, figured it was just too late. I liked a photo of his and he messaged me....he asked to talk on the phone and we ended up talking for hours. We talked for hours each night that week and then met for our first date. When we were walking to dinner I tripped really bad and somehow matrix-style kept from face planting right into a patio fence.... He definitely still reminds me of that one lol. We've been together ever since, about 3 years ha. I moved in after 6 months of dating, we got pregnant immediately- I guess we both just knew exactly what we wanted by that point. We absolutely love our second-chance-at-love story.

We met online on Match! I had signed myself up for Match in 2010 after some wine

and didn't really have much going on with it. I signed up for a few months, and was approaching the end of my self imposed deadline with nothing to show for it but the same annoying guy trying to chat me over and over again. I had lunch with my best friend, told her I was thinking of just canceling, and I got super annoyed the next day when I got another notification and assumed it was that same guy again. Turns out, it wasn't.

We went on our first date (I insisted it be coffee not dinner, just in case

) and we both knew that night. We've been inseparable ever since.
