I hate that this quarantine has caused my husband to be EVEN CLOSER with his friends via video gaming to the point he plays online video games 4 days a week plus he plays d&d another day of the week. I hate that when he gets up early he goes down to his office to play video games and stays down there ignoring everything else and I'm expected to get ready for work and feed the cats (they need to be monitored because the fat ones will push the smaller ones away from their dishes and not let them eat) while he's playing Red Dead Redemption. I hate that I'm jealous of the ways he can interact with his friends but my friends are all moms helping kids with homework OR moms who are back in school themselves so I can't just call up and chat.

@kloe818 that is frustrating for sure, I hear ya. I can’t wait for covid to be better and our lives back to (almost) normal.

Another confession is I had my first irrational cry today over a less than ideal ultrasound appointment time. I am blaming the hormones...?

@kloe818 my husband plays Red dead too lol

My confession is that I'm really tired of being a one-income family. My husband has been looking for work since he graduated with his BS in June. He can't find anything entry level in his field. And due to the cost of childcare, it wouldn't even be worth it to just take a low-paying for-now job 😒

my confession is that I feel like I smell bad all the time. Even if I’ve just showered, a few hours later I feel like I smell like BO and onions. My H keeps telling me I don’t smell bad but I can’t shake it. Stupid pregnancy nose...

@manillabar I know exactly what you're talking about! I felt the same in the early postpartum period after each my first two littles. I read that it's hormone related but my husband swore he could never smell it. I even tried changing my soap and deodorant. Nearly drove me crazy.

Thank you ladies. We had a big discussion about it and he says it's his escapism from covid stuff and the stress of dealing with teaching from home while his students are in the classrooms. He knows he needs to find another coping mechanism and he's making an effort to spend more time upstairs with me. I now get him Sunday afternoon and evening, Saturday mornings, Monday evenings, Thursday evenings, and alternating Tuesday and Friday evenings. Those who know anything about American football will recognize most of those days as football days. The others are "get stuff done before the baby gets here" days. It's not ideal, but it's an improvement over me sitting on the couch crying because I haven't seen him all week except breakfast and bedtime.
