How are you feeling this week?
So much better! The nausea has been downgraded to queasiness and I am actually able to cook dinner again. Food is more appealing, which is nice. Still lots of constipation, fatigue, and now some round ligament pain too. Oh, and plenty of gas!

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
@bblair24 AGREED. 100% makes my skin crawl to hear people crunching, slurping, smacking while they eat. It's absolutely disgusting.
Another one that pertains specifically to retail is when people pay with cash and you're standing there with your hand out and they put the money on the counter. It makes me feel like they think you're a peasant and they can't condescend to touch you. Yeah yeah yeah, I know some of you will say it's because of the pandemic, but this isn't my first rodeo and this used to happen 15 years ago too.

How are you feeling this week? the nausea has abated somewhat, and I have more of an appetite. Headaches have increased though, so thats not fun. And I'm noticing more indigestion and heartburn, especially if I eat too much at one time. Still tired, but overall feeling a bit better.

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? I have to pick just one? I'm with you guys on grammar; it drives me insane! I also get really upset when coworkers try to get out of doing their job and enlist me for help. Um...NO.

    11 and some change

How are you feeling this week?
A little better - still tired, and the nausea is still hanging around, but it’s better in the morning lately, and doesn’t really kick in until mid-afternoon which is a nice break!

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Right now - people not being respectful of blocked / meeting time on my work calendar. I can meet with you when my calendar is open. If it’s not, I am going to decline your meeting every time unless you state that it’s an emergency.

@bbrahmbhatt I am with you on grammar and spelling!  I have also had to push back in my counterparts lately for them to add in the details needed from their functions instead of providing me a high-level overview and telling me to do it. Um, no. That falls under you.
@goldpolkadot I totally trained my kids that they had to turn their clothes and socks right-side our before they put them in the laundry or else I make them help me fold it and put it away. Also my husband is a big offender of the trash bags and it makes me want to smother him with one every time he does it.
  • How far along are you? 14 weeks today!

How are you feeling this week? Good. I have energy in the morning and early afternoon, i'm eating somewhat normal, plus my cravings and my newest symptom... increased sex drive! Kinda threw me through a loop, i never had that with my first pregnancy.

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? Lately it's been DH standing over my shoulder when i'm working or doing things on my laptop... go find something else to do! But also 100% agree with mouth noises and eating with your mouth open, it grosses me out.
  • Weird symptom-related discovery I made this week: I think the majority of my queasiness comes from the taste I have in my mouth. It seems like whatever I eat, the taste hangs around in my mouth for so long. It gets so gross to me that I end up eating something else to try to get rid of it, then that taste hangs around and grosses me out. Gum and mints don’t help because even the mint taste grosses me out right now 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • @bblair24 me too! It's horrible. I brush my teeth like 5x/day. I've started chewing ice too to try and get it to go away.
  • How far along are you? 12 + 4

How are you feeling this week? not too bad, past most of the nausea (I hope) and feeling a little less exhausted

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? Probably drivers being inconsiderate.  I'm by no means a perfect driver (I'd rate myself as below average) but I do my best to be considerate of others.  I absolutely hate it when people drive all the way up past a line of cars and try to cut in at the last minute.  They think their time is so much more valuable than everyone else's?  I just can't stand it.

About the grammar... this used to bother me way more than it does now.  I think it's partially because my mom has a really hard time with writing even though she tries and she's very smart.  She just can't write or speak that well.  There are plenty of other people out there who didn't get a good enough of an education to write/speak well, or who have a disability that makes it hard for them.  I try to be a bit more forgiving of that kind of thing these days rather than let it rile me up.

  • @juliebird6 oh gosh, yes with the teeth brushing! I brushed my teeth after I posted that and I’m about to do it again before we put the girls to bed 😂 Luckily my toothpaste taste doesn’t bother me. Yet.
  • @goldpolkadot I’m also a grammar nut!

How are you feeling this week? Exhausted and nauseous again! I felt great (just tired) last week, so this is super odd. I’m praying it leaves for good ASAP. Currently in bed...

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? Grammar is definitely up there. I also struggle with dirty dishes being left on the table or countertops. Unless you are my child, I do not want to clear your plate for you. It grosses me out.

    14+1 hello 2nd tri :)

How are you feeling this week?
mornings are better but as soon as 4pm hits I’m nauseous and done for the day. Still can’t cook dinner. Call me crazy but I felt movement this week, and I read that since this is my 3rd you can start feeling baby even at 13 weeks. Amazing!

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Right now? Having to wear a mask, makes my nausea so much worse.
  • How far along are you? 15+4

How are you feeling this week? pretty good! although I am experiencing more headaches lately and A LOT of acid reflux, which feels really unfair since my body just keeps craving things like OJ, haha.

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? I have too many. Haha. Definitely smacking when eating - this drives me NUTS. And talking with food in your mouth, it grosses me out so much to see what's in someone's mouth. I also hate when people say words incorrectly like "supposebly" instead of "supposedly."
  • @theblondebump

Also my mom mispronounces normal words all the time. I particularly dislike the melk/milk pellow/pillow type mixups.

@BuckeyeNut05 my husband used to be terrible at remembering to put a new trash bag in after taking it out. This summer my 5 year old was helping me and (seriously without any prompting!) told me “mommy I’ll put a new one in for you because sometimes daddy forgets!” And he was right there and heard it. He hasn’t forgotten it since, but time will tell!

    How far along are you?
    13 and a few days.

How are you feeling this week?
Eh. I thought nausea was better but I fell asleep without taking my vitamins last night. My kids were awake at 3:30am though so I figured I’d at least take the prenatal and my allergy med. but I skipped the unisom because I didn’t want to be sleepy all day. But al it did was let me know it really is helping with the nausea because I’ve puked like 5-6 times today. And headaches/migraines aren’t helping. I’ll probably try and go to sleep a little earlier today because last night was rough and I’d hoped to nap when the two year old did (the five year old asked for one) but the two year old decided since he was awake at 3:30 and it was so much fun he would fight a nap too. Grocery shopping later with a cranky toddler was fun though!

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
I guess the mispronunciations and grammar issues (I dislike when people use adjectives instead of adverbs!) and also chewing noises. Especially slurping sounds!
Also I absolutely hate when people are smoking by me, and even more so when it’s at a playground or right in front of a doorway with a No Smoking sign.

How far along are you? 12+5

How are you feeling this week? I have gotten way more sensitive to smells/gross things so now I am actually throwing up all the time. Isn't morning sickness supposed to be over now? Still exhausted. Starting to think about sex again...

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? I appreciate @kadeephd  's response about the grammar stuff.  Yeah sure it's obvious if someone's grammar is off, but not really offensive.  Grammar is so intertwined with access to education and socio-economic status that I think we can give some people a break.  Also, even if you are very educated, you can still slip up due to learning disabilities.  I am glad that people break grammar rules. Without the errors, our culture would be so monolithic and boring. Speaking without grammatical correctness does not invalidate you or your message.

Now that I got that off my chest... my pet peeves include but are not restricted to: when my dog's hair gets all over my work clothes, when my husband doesn't clean up his beard trimmings, when both my husband and MIL leave their trash in my car...
  • @aguamala DH's beard trimmings!! Yes! This grosses me out and even when DH thinks he cleaned them up, they are still everywhere!
  • How far along are you?
    14+1, hello 2nd trimester

How are you feeling this week?
Mentally and emotionally feeling pretty motivated and positive as of lately. Physically, goodness, that round ligament pain really smarts! :s Backache to go with it isn’t fun either. It’s been 7 years since my son was born and I forgot about this! One night it was excruciating to the point I thought I had an infection or swas wrong but DH rubbed my back and it started to ease up. Thankfully had an appt the following morning and was assured uterus is just growing to support the wee babe.

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
@aguamala Ugh, yes!! The beard trimmings irk me to death! I think the worst pet peeve I have is when people say “huh” or “what” when they’ve heard me and make me repeat myself. Repeating myself drives me bonkers, especially when it’s just a habit for them to say “huh” or “what”. Lately, I just don’t even repeat it or wait for an answer. Lol.
  • @bluey101321 I've been doubled over with RLP a couple times this past week too. Ouch!!
  • Okay, I feel crazy but I could have sworn I felt a BH contraction earlier. I had to pee pretty bad and my belly tightened up. According to Dr. Google, women start feeling them on average around 16 weeks, but it said with subsequent pregnancies you might experience them sooner. I remember feeling them much earlier with DD2 than DD1. I felt like there’s no way I could be having them now (just over 13 weeks) but who knows. Pregnancy is so weird.
  • @bblair24 I feel like everyone has their own pregnancy, so you never know! With DS2 I started having them around 16/17 weeks and at an appointment just mentioned it, but said I wasn’t concerned. The NP told me that wasn’t even possible for at least 8-10 more weeks. I just flat out said, well with my first I had actual measurable contractions for ten weeks. It sure feels like it but you can call it something else if that makes it better for you. I had other issues with this particular NP and after that appointment just refused to see her. She also would tell me to take OTC meds that were not recommended, and would constantly ask me things like what’s your name again, or how far along are you? Always bothered me; just look at the damn chart in front of you!
  • @theletlers yikes, she sounds like a fantastic NP!  😬 I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a doctor/nurse ask me my name during an appointment! Considering it’s right there on the chart like you said. Yikes.
  • @bblair24 I feel like it could be possible maybe? I know I got them quite early with my third, but I can't remember when exactly. They were like that all pregnancy long 🤦‍♀️ its so different when you literally can't rest because you are chasing kids all day long!
  • @bblair24, I remember freaking out with DS1 because I was having them around this time. I think it's more by this time, we know what it feels like. I also got RLP a LOT earlier with this baby.
  • @aisukurimsarang that’s true, about knowing what we’re feeling this time!

@runsoncoffee yeah, with DD2 I feel like I had them almost the whole time I was pregnant 😂 I definitely had them more than I didn’t, if that makes sense. And I spent the whole time chasing DD1 who was 2 at the time! I miss my first pregnancy where I just laid around all the time 💁🏻‍♀️
  • How far along are you? 16 +2

How are you feeling this week? SO hungry all the time

GTKY: What’s your biggest pet peeve? Right now it’s people that wear masks under their noses. Drives me insane!
  • @bluey101321 I hate when people say that too! My DH will and I’m like, “were you just not listening or what...” .. drives me crazy!
