    3) Sushi

@keikilove missed yours! White claw is disgusting! But I might have to banish you for not liking Friends.

  • @chindimples04 I know I will get so much heat for that one hahaha. I almost put “Sex” on my list too 🤣 but I’d already listed 5 things. Plus, I think many of us who have been here awhile will also agree that sex loses its appeal after so many months of TTC.
  • @keikilove I can actually get there with chicken, I’m astounded by the rest. Did you watch more than one season of parks & rec? Just wondering because we didn’t get the fuss either until someone told us how much better it got.

@chindimples04 I can agree with you on people hahaha!

I’m sure there are more but I can think of 3 quickly!

    1. rollercoasters that go upside down
    2. bacon
    3. fruit and chocolate (Ex: choc covered strawberries)

  • @bows22 Bacon?! BACON??!?!?!?😩 I cannot fathom this. And no, I could not get past season 1 of Parks & Rec. It just felt like it was killing my brain cells.🤪

@chindimples04 I love how you said “peopley places”😄 That makes sense.
  • @keikilove girl, I didn’t like sex before TTC. 🤣 Its okay during....but the idea before is just....eh.

@bows22 I don’t love roller coasters that go upside down either. I like twisty roller coasters, though.

  • @chindimples04 I remember being a child and seeing a rollercoaster stuck upside down on the news and I don’t think I’ve been on one since. Not worth it!!

    1. Bacon in things (I like it on its own, but not added on to other dishes)
    2. "Friends" (was more of a Seinfeld person)
    3. Harry Potter
    4. Lord of the Rings
    5. Mustard

@keikilove I don't dislike it so much as I just don't get it. If I want seltzer I'll save the calories and just have flavored seltzer. I did have black cherry at some point, which I think is a fan favorite, and it was disgusting. Then again, I'm probably weird in that I mostly drink alcohol because I enjoy the flavor rather than the buzz, if I could find non-alcoholic options that taste the same as real beer/wine/liquor I'd happily drink those. (yes, I've tried, which had the result of giving me more appreciation for what fermentation does to a beverage)

@bows22 I also hate fruit with chocolate. One or the other is great, but not together (except for maybe bananas, I can deal with that).
  • @keikilove & @akoros I'm also not a Friends person
@bows22 bacon and fruit + chocolate?!?!?!???? I could put all of those together and love it!

    1) ranch
    2) bananas
    3) GOT, Harry Potter, LOR, any of that fantasy stuff
    4) Elf on the Shelf

That's all I can think of right now.

  • 1. Reality TV
    2. Onion
    3. Bread
    4. PSL
    5. Sweets

    Footnotes:
2 - I don't know how many ppl actually LOVE onion, but I know I'm in the minority that REALLY dislikes it.
4 - I actually had one last weekend because I don't remember disliking it, but... yeah... not for me.

@keikilove re: Parks and Rec... I had to push through the first season (luckily it's very short) and the consensus in general is that it gets MUCH MUCH better. A friend told me about this new app called TV Time and it shows trends for shows over their seasons and Season 1 of P&R is MUCH lower than the rest.

@chindimples04 totally get you on the peoplely places; I used to be an uber extravert and as I've aged, I realized that I hate crowds. Like... don't want to go to a concert or a shopping mall or...

@bows22 I definitely don't love those rollercoasters either; not a big fan of roller coasters period, but will go with my friends.

@akoros I wonder if HP craze was generational... I was 16-17 when Book 4 came out, and fell in love with it because I started listening to it on audiobooks (it is _VERY_ well read). But I wonder if younger folks are less prone to liking it.

  • @acleverusername Perhaps, most people I knew in high school were nuts about it, which carried into college as more books came out. I just never got into it.

@krash_ I *sort of* like Elf on the Shelf, but only the aspects that remind me of something my parents did for me when I was little: My mom has a Dickens Village that we'd set up every year, and she told me that the people were magical and came alive at night. When I was asleep she'd go and move them around so that I'd notice that things were different. I'd always race down in the morning to try and "catch" them, and one year even punished them when they were very very bad (in retrospect I think the cat walked on the table because it was an utter mess in the morning, with an angel laid across the railroad tracks. The horror!). As for EotS, I can see using something where I say he comes alive at night and has fun, but the spying part is creepy.
  • 1) Anything spicy
    2) Horror movies
    3) All sports (watching and playing)
    4) Pickles
    5) Dodgeball (not super relevant as an adult, but I hated it in school)

@keikilove I am most surprised by chicken. It is just so, regular? I get being a vegetarian, but I’m thrown by eating other meat and not liking chicken...

@chindimples04 As an extroverted, basic, PSL and sushi loving, wine and cocktail connoisseur, I am personally offended by your list haha

@bows22 I don’t like fresh fruit in chocolate, but I can get behind dried fruit in chocolate. I do like bacon generally speaking, but I think it is crazy overrated.

@akoros and @krash_ I love Harry Potter and LOTR is really good in the books! I can see if you just aren’t into fantasy, but I love when book series have a whole world you can get really immersed in.

@acleverusername Like chindimples, I am basically offended by your list as well. I feel like I need to go bake some onion-flavored bread while watching trashy reality TV to make up for it haha

  • 1) cilantro
    2) chocolate/orange combination
    3) scary ANYTHING
    4) movies about space
    5) taking baths

@keikilove I feel like your list is just a list of things I love lol

@chindimples04 not liking people gives you a HUGE advantage in COVID times lol

@bows22 I will agree with you that not all fruit belongs with chocolate (I am anti oranges and chocolate)...but idk about the rest haha!

@akoros I’m with you on LOTR...I think I just never stuck with any of it long enough to really get it. Also bacon is in too many things. I love bacon but it’s so easy for a dish to be overwhelmed by it.

@krash_ DH keeps hoping that elf on the shelf will be over by the time we have a kid old enough to do it and will not believe me that it’s here forever lol!

@acleverusername I am in the list of people who love onions so I will eat all of yours lol. It’s a good thing DH likes them too or else I’d be in trouble

@fitzfizz I hated dodgeball so much in school that my mom wrote me a note for gym class to be excused whenever we were playing. The worst!!
  • @krash_ we were typing at the same time, but I get the dislike of bananas. I used to sit next to a colleague who wouldn't allow me to eat a banana at my desk; I had to go to the kitchen.

@fitzfizz I'm kind of with you on the spicy; I've actually had to "teach myself" to learn spicy things... and the most I can do is mild-medium spice level (and that's by American standards.)

@runningoncookies how can you not like taking baths?! LOL. We have the tiniest bathtub at our current home, and I still squeeze myself in there for a soak on a weekly basis.

@_orchid_ I love everything on your list. Hahaha.

Ok, some of these responses had me rolling! I’m so glad y’all participated!

@fitzfizz “I am basically offended by your list” #dead🤣🤣🤣
@runningoncookies & @_orchid_YES to movies about space!! Why do people want to watch them? We all know they're either going to float away or blow up terribly.” hHAHAHAHA!

@akoros I’m with you on Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings, but Seinfeld is high on my list next to Friends. NOTHING ever happens on Seinfeld & the characters are sooo annoying!

@krash_ We are twinsies with your whole list! Ranch & bananas are both so gross!  *But please try watching GoT again because that show was amazing!😄*

@acleverusername I love everything on your list except PSL! Like you, I’ve never loved it but tried it again in the airport this weekend when MH sweetly ordered both of us one. BIG mistake! MH & I had stomachaches for the entire flight to the west coast & for the next 12 hours. Yuck!!!! Never again.

@fitzfizz Chicken has been super gross to me ever since I can remember. It tastes like blood. And all the veins next to the bones=🤢 I won’t eat it unless it’s been seriously marinated or drenched in some other flavors that hide the real taste. (I also can’t stand catfish because it’s slimy & tastes like mud. Gotta love these taste buds!)

@_orchid_ I LOVE everything on your list!!

    Edited for weird spacing
  • @keikilove totally feel you on parks & rec. not into it either! but then again, i didn't like the office or 30 rock :/

@bows22 i'm with you on literally all 3 of those. though with roller coasters it's because i'm afraid of heights, so none of any kind!

@acleverusername great call with reality tv, i also hate it. but bread!! and i really do like onion a lot!

@fitzfizz ahh i love everything spicy. suuuper spicy. but i'm with you on the horror movies. i don't play or watch sports either, but i do enjoy walking! do you?

@_orchid_ agree with the high heels! yes they can look good, but i have never ever found a pair that was comfortable.

    1. Peanut Butter
    2. Wine/Beer
    3. Breakfast
    4. Cats

  • @fingerscrossed1 HA to your list! I can only understand #4, as I hear that you’re either a dog or a cat person. I’m neither, but you could catch some flak on this board for disliking either🤣 People LOVE their cats & dogs!
  • @fingerscrossed1 OMG I love breakfast! 🤣

  • @keikilove this was a great game!!
  • 1) yogurt, especially Greek yogurt. The smell almost makes me barf.
    2) sports or any kind. I especially hate football.
    3) cigarette smoke. I don’t want to walk through or have to breathe it in at all. It’s just disgusting.
    4) tattoos. They are just not for me and I don’t get the appeal of them. I am more of a piercing kind of girl.
    5) essential oils. Definitely not for me. I can’t stand anything about them.
  • @runningoncookies I’ll have to disagree on baths! I bought my house in large part because of the awesome soaking tub. I love to bring in a movie on my iPad and drink some wine.

@_orchid_ I always want to like yoga in theory, but I’m so terrible at it that I always end up leaving halfway through a class.

@acleverusername I think I just never had any exposure to spicy food growing up, so it was a bit of a shock moving to Cajun country. I still just haven’t gotten used to it at all.

@keikilove I definitely get you on catfish. I only like it fried and I try not to eat fried food so I rarely have catfish. I live on chicken though!

@fingerscrossed1 I do walk and run semi regularly. I have no opposition to exercise, I just have no interest in sports with teams and goals etc. I can’t believe in not liking breakfast though! Weekend day breakfast is the best!

@emeraldcity1214 I am neutral about yogurt, but strong agree with the rest of your list.

  • @fingerscrossed1 I am a cat person to the core. I would get another one if I didn’t think my husband’s allergies would become too overwhelming for him. When we moved in together before we got married, he told me I was going to have to get rid of my cat. 😳 I told him I would be more likely to get rid of him. 😂 He went and got on some OTC medications that day.
  • I missed this thread yesterday, and it’s so fun!

    1) Harry Potter, GOT, Lord of the Rings, etc.
    2) Mint and chocolate together
    3) Lasagna
    4) Baked Mac n Cheese
    5) Vodka drinks - except White Russians.

@keikilove agree with you on Friends and Parks and Rec! Both are def overrated.
@chindimples04 I had sushi once, and HATED it so I can get on board with that one.
@bows22 and @akoros how can you not like anything bacon or bacon in things?! That’s mind blowing to me!
@krash_ I hate all the fantasy stuff. I think it’s stupid and do not get the hype.
@acleverusername talk me me about this bread dislike. Like all bread?! I’m not a fan of like sliced wonder bread, but put a French baguette in front of me and I am good to go!
@runningoncookies also hate taking baths. I have a tub with jets too, and I just can’t get into the habit of taking them. They aren’t relaxing, and I always feel dirty when I get out.
@_orchid_ wine and yoga would go on my list. DH’s family are big wine drinkers, and I have tried everything to like it. Just doesn’t do it for me.
@fingerscrossed1 like all breakfast food or just the notion of eating first thing in the morning?
@emeraldcity1214 YES to essential oils!! (No offense to anyone who sells them) but I have a few people who I went to HS with who are those stereotypical “oilers” and I just have to roll my eyes at them.
  • I can get behind everyone’s distaste for LOTR and GOT but I draw the line at HP. I love HP.
  • @daisy528 Both! My first meal of the day is always around lunch time, but I also dislike most breakfast foods like cereal, pancakes, waffles, bacon, french toast, granola. BUT I do like eggs and bread. So, I'm absolutely into eating an omelette for lunch/dinner or a bagel + cream cheese, just not before noon :)
  • @emeraldcity1214 do ppl actually love cigarette smoke though? 🤔

@daisy528 let's talk about bread... lol. It's not that I _hate_ bread; I just don't _love_ it. For e.g. MH likes to once in a while come home with cheese and baguette. I'd much prefer to have some Mary's Gone Crackers with that cheese. You know what I mean? Also lol @ "except White Russian"

@fitzfizz I'm the same way; grew up with only spices being salt, pepper, paprika and garlic. Not the best for building a spice tolerance.

  • @acleverusername The people who smoke? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I also don’t like vape either. People seem to think that’s healthier. I don’t like weed either. I don’t want to smell that either. 😆 Maybe that would be a better UO.
  • @emeraldcity1214 Lol yeah I’m not really a fan of any of those smells!
