I also went ahead and posted this weeks thread a bit early. I’m on pacific time, so I think Wednesday comes earlier for most everyone else.

When do you think you will start TTC? Still probably 2021. Although we have talked about just getting it over with sooner rather than later before the pandemic outlook gets any worse.

What brings you to WRW? Babies? Lol And connecting with other people in the boat of wanting to have one and (for whatever reason) not being ready.

Any R/R? My lawn looks like a murder scene because my cat is a skilled huntress. There are bird feathers strewn about that I guess I have to go pick up individually by hand. I’m not sure how else to be rid of them. Mowing them over didn’t do the trick 😂 It’s festive??

GTKY: Do you roast the seeds when you carve pumpkins? I have a couple of times. I always want to, but then it’s a lot of work and or I overcook them. I haven’t attempted in a couple of years.

When do you think you will start TTC? ASAP, but I also need to be an adult and get my ish together. I got back on my fitness plan. I’m going to finally lose this baby weight and pay off a couple debts then do it. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long!

What brings you to WRW? Obsession. I want a big family dang it

Any R/R? Mosquitoes have taken over my yard due to all of the watering! I give up. The seed isn’t going to sprout lol

I am soooo tired. I worked 7am-10pm Saturday through Tuesday. I have off today and only 5 hours of work tomorrow and then a three day weekend. My manager called asking if I wanted to work again tonight and I said I couldn’t even if I wanted to 😂 I need to recover! I’m knackered!

No I’ve never even thought to do that tbh. I’m not a very big seed or nut person

@tumbleweed-1 oh noo 😩😂 I apologize for laughing at your misery but the way you’ve described it makes it sound quite funny! Maybe raking would help? My MILs cat brings the birds INSIDE to do this and would always leave feathers and the kidneys. He doesn’t like kidneys 😂

@doodleoodle oooh ASAP sounds promising 🤞🏻 your yard is not giving in easy, is it? What a nightmare!

@jackie_dunny you’ve earned that time off! I hate my yard so much that even though we’ve only just bought our house two years ago I’m dreaming of moving back into our townhome. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. And all of our neighbors have such beautiful yards. I don’t want to have the ugliest yard on our street. Womp womp

@doodleoodle I really hope your grass grows for you! I know about endless yard work. The house we are in is a rental and I’m not convinced the previous tenants spent any time on the yard.

@doodleoodle I feel you! We’ve got so much to do in our yard, it’s a nightmare! DH has done so much work all by himself and we’ve still got loads to do!

I think my pumpkin seed gtky wasn’t as great of a conversation starter. Speaking of Halloween stuff, my state’s health authority released recommendations on low, moderate, and high risk (to be avoided) ways of celebrating and traditional trick or treating is a high risk activity. I’m not surprised, but I was hoping there would be a “safer” way to still pass out candy. Now, I don’t even want to have my porch light on to encourage it.

My weekend has been busy. My cat caught and ate a squirrel and disappeared for a day and night. She’s since returned (seems fine) and caught and is currently eating another squirrel 🤦🏻‍♀️

I liked your GTKY, Tumbleweed. It was very on theme haha I’m not putting out candy either. I know I’d just throw out the remaining candy and consider throwing out the bowl with it. PS your cat sounds gross lol but at least you know if a mouse ever finds a way into your home it won’t last long. How are you, @jackie_dunny ? My DH took a long weekend so we’ve been having a lot of family time. The weather has also gotten a lot cooler here so I’m in my happy place. My 8 month old is doing this super cute thing now where she doesn’t nap unless she’s being held 🙄

@doodleoodle good point about the leftover candy! I hadn’t thought about that. I’d rather just eat all the candy I bought 😅 Extra family time and good weather all in one weekend, nice. I hope your baby grows out of her cute, new phase soon. My cat is gross lol. Luckily she doesn’t eat the rats but I’m like, where are finding these? You’re welcome, neighborhood

You live in an area where there are rats?! My condolences 😂 squirrels are all over where I live and they’re basically just rats with cute tails lol

@doodleoodle yay for time with DH and family! Did you do anything fun? I’m also loving the cooler weather and that crisp in the air! Oh no about your 8 month old! Hopefully that super cute stage passes soon!

We still plan on handing out candy as it’s technically allowed over here I think? 🤔 but we never get trick or treaters anyway so I doubt anyone will come lol

AFM, I had a great weekend. Went for a nice autumn-y walk and fish and chips at the harbor side with DH and then saw some friends later that night so it was nice to have a catchup with them. But today I’m having a terrible morning. Someone scratched up the side of my car quite badly which is just another thing I now have to deal with 🙄😩

@jackie_dunny so sorry to hear about your car! If it happened at home maybe one of your neighbors caught it on camera?

we've been spending lots of time outside. I’m trying to enjoy it as much as we can before it’s not enjoyable anymore. I’m dreading winter. The outdoors has been a lifesaver during the pandemic.

@jackie_dunny that sounds like an amazing weekend. I had fish and chips about a month ago for the first time in forever (it feels like lol). We haven’t gone out to to sit down and eat anywhere since early February, I think. We do take out & delivery sometimes, but mostly lots of cooking at home. I hope your insurance covers drive by car damage. There wasn’t a note or anything?

@doodleoodle Do you live in an area that gets really snowy? I’m in the pacific NW and we typically have “mild” and rainy winters, but still too cold to do anything outside. We do have whole days below freezing and snow on the valley floor sometimes. I think the only thing keeping our cases down was everyone hiking and camping all summer. I worry a lot about the upcoming winter holidays and people attending other household parties indoors.

Re: my car - no it was while I was driving actually. The prick pulled out ever so slightly (I guess I was in his/her blind spot?) and scrapped my car as I kept driving and then i tried turning around to catch them and they sped off 🤬 luckily it’s not enough damage to really claim on insurance. Just an ugly scrape.

@tumbleweed-1 your winters sound a lot like the winters in the UK! I actually love them because I’m from the northeast in the US so we got HORRENDOUS winters and I don’t miss it 😂

It doesn’t get very snowy here. It’s just below freezing most of the winter. If we got a lot of snow it would make spending time outdoors more fun we could at least build snowmen or something 😂
