This past week has been really rough for me. Sometimes I don't feel pregnant and it really freaks me out! I'm going into my OB for a doppler check today to help ease my worries and hopefully it'll be uneventful 🙏This is around the time I lost my longest past pregnancy, so it's tough for my brain to trust my body at times. I can't wait to successfully get through this first trimester and pass the majority of early loss risk.
I went in for my QNATAL bloodwork yesterday and results should come back in 5-7 days! It will tell me if I have any genetic markers or risks to consider. Also decided on a whim to include baby gender in that, so will need to review the results together with DH when they come in! He's praying for a boy, but I will be happy with a healthy baby period 🙂
@texas_t you are on it! I don't know how you keep up with everyone. I'll try to update after my appointment later today. I'm hoping for good news. @ruby0902 I'm glad you got in for a doppler to ease your mind! I'm glad you got the test, hopefully you'llhave good news that can further ease your mind by the end of the week

Any updates/changes/new concerns regarding your pregnancy? I just feel sicker than with my daughter so I've convinced myself that something terrible is wrong. Of course, if I ever don't feel sick, I also convince myself that's terrible. Bad head games. I just have to make it through one more week until my ultrasound on Monday the 19th!
(and of course if any of you had these worries, I'd very sensibly point out that every pregnancy is different and you can very well have two healthy pregnancies that have different amounts of morning sickness... but I don't listen to reason)
@queenfrostine21 - the interwebs say that having nausea can be a good indication that the pregnancy is progressing well and should give mom-to-be some reassurance. Both of my girlfriends had pretty severe first trimester vomiting and sickness, and both delivered very heathy baby girls. Can't wait to hear about your u/s! My next appointments aren't until the last week of Oct which feels like foreverrr away.
Good morning I keep up by using an excel spreadsheet, lol!
How far along are you? I'm 10w2d (It's going by so fast and so slow at the same time!)
Any updates/changes/new concerns regarding your pregnancy? Doc is super happy with my progesterone levels and US from yesterday looked great, so he said I can taper off the progesterone supplements starting at 12 weeks and I will should start to feel markedly better. Also, my blood pressure was 120/72 yesterday and he was thrilled about that as well. I made it past my loss milestones, so I'm feeling some comfort in that. I have one last "coddling" appt next week because of my loss history where doc will find baby on the doppler. Hopefully it will be easy because he found him yesterday in just a couple of minutes! The, I won't have an appt until 16 weeks (Queue the gasps of horror!). I was able to feel baby move right past 14 weeks last pregnancy, so I'm hoping and praying this little fella is pokey as well!
@ruby0902 I'm so sorry you've had a rough week. Last week was really hard for me and I didn't think I was going to get through it so I know just how you feel. I'm so glad you get to go in for a doppler! Getting through milestones definitely helps ease the anxiety! Can't wait to hear what you're having! EEK! @mkc3888 FX for a great appointment! @queen_frostine Yep, I've always heard sick is good! Reasoning is so hard during pregnancy. Hold on - less than a week and hopefully you'll breathe a little easier!
Just finished my doctor's appt. and he found the heartbeat right away. I bawled like a small child, lol. My next appt. isn't supposed to be until the 28th, but my OB insisted I come in next week to hear the heartbeat on doppler again and help ease my anxieties. I am so grateful for his compassion!!
Any updates/changes/new concerns regarding your pregnancy? No concerns i did have my viability ultrasound last Friday and everything was good so feeling super thankful for that!
Any updates/changes/new concerns regarding your pregnancy? Probably no change but my High risk OB did call me on Sunday morning to discuss our other alternative to the preventative cerclage. The alternative would be to start me on vaginal progesterone and then do frequent cervical lenght measurements from 14 weeks to see if my cervix does open or shorten and if it does we could still do a rescue cerclage. We haven't changed our mind at this point and I got the feeling that neither did the doctor but she wanted me to know there was now that option which have shown to be promising too. She is sending me some literature and I will ask further questions at my next appointment. But I feel like that alternative would be a bit taking a chance and I don't think I want to do that. I understand the risks of an elective cerclage, and I also understand that it is low compared to the risks of a rescue cerclage or missing our window of opportunity.
I also had another blood draw today that included a few things that my GP didn't test and we are controlling my TSH which was fine but just under the higher limit.
So I made it to my appointment. I thought it was at 4, but it was at 3. Thankfully they still saw me and did the ultrasound. They found the baby and their heartbeat was a good 187. I asked about mfm and he said he ordered my prenatal bloodwork and a1c. I’ll call to schedule an appointment with mfm tomorrow. So all went well minus my pregnancy brain. Also we told my daughter today. She had a hunch we talk about stuff in front of her but hadn’t said anything about having a baby in front of her. So today we showed her the ultrasound pic and told her that was a pic of the baby in mommy’s belly. She’s so excited. I should have recorded it.

10+1 I’ve only had my one appointment so far but started my lovenox injections a few weeks ago. My abdomen is all bruised up. I’m on lovenox because of a clotting disorder. My doc isn’t referring me to MFM this time because we managed everything last time and I have no new issues/concerns. While I am “technically” AMA, she’s confident in taking on my care. My next appointment will be Oct 26th and we will do an early glucose test, ultrasound and I’ll get my bloodwork done for the genetic testing. I’ll start aspirin at that appointment as a precaution for pre-e.
I’m feeling a little better on the nausea front but I still have no appetite at all. My husband has been great trying to buy foods I like, cooking for me and trying to get me to eat.
I’m considering getting a home Doppler since it’s not as easy to get into my clinic when I’m feeling anxious and my husband can only join for the first ultrasound and last time he came to every appointment. He’s going to want to hear the heartbeat more often than just once and then when he holds the baby 😂
Hey @samd6 - we're in a pretty similar boat! I have antiphospholipid syndrome, so I'm on lovenox and baby aspirin as well. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but I find if I apply a fresh ice cube to the injection site for about 30 seconds, gather a good pinch of skin, and then give myself the shot using a slow, steady injection rate, that it does significantly reduce my bruising and even some of the stinging. Some of my injection sites you can't even see, or there will just be a small, red dot. Haven't totally escaped the bruising though! Haha.
I had my genetic bloodwork done earlier this week, hoping for results in 5-7 days. Will you find out the baby's sex then or are you guys going to wait?? I'm too impatient so I told them to include it 😁
@ruby0902 we will be waiting, we waited last time and it was so awesome! I had deep vein thrombosis as a toddler, and no clotting issues since but better safe than sorry! My husband actually does the injections for me since I’m a wimp and it’s a way for him to feel like part of the pregnancy. I did the shots last pregnancy until 6 weeks PP. It’s nice to have someone else who understands 🧡
@queen_frostine What you said makes sense as far as worry. Also, my first pregnancy that ended in miscarriage- I had no symptoms, no nausea, no sore boobs, no aversions. Not so for my successful pregnancies. So I’m a firm believer in symptoms being a good thing. They should let up in 2nd tri though.
How far along are you? 11+5
Any updates/changes/new concerns regarding your pregnancy? Still AMA, and my Ob recommended that I start low dose of aspirin after 12 weeks because of my history of pre-e and my age. But she said everything seemed to be in great shape, even though my incision got infected last time, she said that even looked in great shape.
Then she recommended that I only gain 15-20lbs during my pregnancy! Omg, I almost died inside a little. I retain 30-40 lbs of water in the last 2 months. I gain very little until then and I just swell up like a balloon! I lose the water weight within 3 weeks after the birth. And hang on to the real weight until I work it off. So I gain between 50-70 lbs no matter what I do. Trust me, I’ve tried.
