Any thoughts about this cycle? Already looking to November’s cycle 🤣

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? We are on day 8 of cutting our morning breastfeeding session. Yesterday was by far the easiest of them all. I’m hoping it continues that way. We also got the questionnaire for her 18 month appointment in a couple of weeks. Those stupid things always make me worry for nothing. 🤪

GTKY: Any Halloween costume ideas for your family? DD will be Curious George (she is quite obsessed), DH will be the man in the yellow hat, and I’m going to pretend to be a banana (I have a shirt that says pretend I’m a banana. 🤣)

Any thoughts about this cycle? I’m excited bc i think I actually ovulated 🤯 I have been temping and think I can officially confirm it with a sustained temp rise

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? I’m looking forward to a breather this week. I had a super busy weekend and my ILs were over yesterday... which makes me tired. The amount of back handed comments from my MIL... 🙄

GTKY: Any Halloween costume ideas for your family? I’ve got nothing. My brain feels fried. I did see someone make a homemade strawberry costume with a red onesie. It was super cute. I was thinking of copying

Rant/Rave? I really wanted to do some sort of fun fall activity today with the kids, but it is cold out!

GTKY: Any Halloween costume ideas for your family? We actually just picked out our costumes yesterday - DS is being a red Power Ranger and DD is being Elsa from Frozen 2!

  • @daisy528 Love the costumes! Are you all doing anything for Halloween? Everything is canceled around here.

    Any questions? No

Rant/Rave? DS was up at 5:30 this morning!! Anybody else have an early riser? If DS sleeps past 6 it’s a “sleep-in” (help meeeee lol)!!

GTKY: Any Halloween costume ideas for your family? We’re not really doing Halloween this year - I did get DS one of those skeleton pyjama sets (did the same last year) - he can wear it to daycare and then it also doubles as an extra set of pyjamas for the winter.

@mc0303 happy 1st birthday to your LO!! Are you doing anything to celebrate?  Sorry about your MIL

@chindimples04 brilliant costume idea! GL with the weaning!

  • @mc0303 honestly, I have no clue. If we go trick or treating, we will wear masks, keep our distance from others, and I’ll probably set aside the kids candy for a few days. If we don’t, we live next to my parents so we will probably just stop by their house.
  • @canucklehead123 My LO is an early riser too 😭 He woke up at 5:30 and we got him out of the crib at 6. I’ve tried so many things to try to encourage later wake ups. He woke at 6:30 once last week and I felt like a million bucks lol. For his bday, we’re having some zoom parties with our families. I went way overboard with decorations but I really couldn’t help it!! Hehe

@chindimples04 oof good luck with the weaning! I haven’t even started looking into bc it stresses me out.

@daisy528 I’m sure it’ll be fun for them whatever you guys do!
  • I will be back to tag later.

What number are you trying for? This will be #7 (I had a loss so 6th LC hopefully)

    Month/Cycle? 1/1

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 18, 6, 4, 3, 11 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? We haven’t fully moved into TTC yet so we will be NTNP. I started wearing my Tempdrop this week so I will have temps to look at and know how long my LP actually is. Last cycle, from peak CM, it appears to be 13 or 14 days. Three cycles ago it was only 3 days from peak so a huge improvement. We moved L to his own bed and I only nurse once or twice a night so that is having an impact.

    Any questions? Not now

Rant/Rave? We are suppose to get a puppy this week but of course my husband has ruined it for me. We lost our dog to cancer in February this year and it literally crushed me and I have been missing having a dog in my life. I found someone breeding a Jack Russell and told DH about it and he said, “let’s do it.” Now he says this won’t really be his dog because I feel like I need a dog so bad. This dog is suppose to be his and we are planning to get a Doberman next spring for me. He really is acting like a child. So now, I feel he has sucked all the joy out of the entire process of bringing a puppy into our home. It amazes me how he can suck the joy out of things like this. The sad thing is, I really do miss my dog. Some times I think I hear him running after me and I turn to look for him and realize he isn’t there. I was really looking forward to all the puppy snuggles. At this point I’m not even sure I want to bring this dog home since all it has done is start a huge fight between us.

GTKY: Any Halloween costume ideas for your family? We don’t celebrate Halloween. I plan to make my kids a fun fall themed basket with some treats and goodies that they will love.

  • @chindimples04 I hate filling out those well visit forms. I prefer for the doctor to do a series of questions and have the kids demonstrate what they can do. I have only ever had 1 doctor do that.

@mc0303 Even though it was exhausting I hope you enjoyed the time with your in-laws. We were suppose to drive up to see mine last week but my MIL flew home from Vegas and tested positive for COVID at the airport. Since DH is an ER doc, he can’t afford to be out for 2 weeks quarantining. Also, yay for ovulation.

@daisy528 Don’t let the cold stop you. We are headed up a mountain today to play at one of the lookouts with our hiking group. I have the kids in so many layers because I’m expecting it to be windy and really cold. We live in AK though so we play in all kinds of weather.

@canucklehead123 I have some early risers. Some of my kids share a room too and they love to flip the light on and wake everyone in the room. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I even have an Okay to wake clock. At this point, I have tried to adopt the saying, “sleep is overrated.” Some days they do sleep in and I come downstairs and drink my coffee in silence.
  • @chindimples04 I love that "pretend I'm a banana" shirt!  :D
    @mc0303 HBD to your LO!
    @daisy528 sorry about the BFN
@canucklehead123 we've always had an early riser as well. The only thing that ever "worked" was moving his bed time earlier. It's counter intuitive but that is the advice of most sleep experts. I say "work" in quotes because he always goes back to waking up early again and we have to trouble shoot. 6:30 is sleeping in for us. We are currently trying an Ok to Wake clock but see below for our major struggles.
@emeraldcity1214 sorry about the puppy situation. I get the "yours" vs "mine" thing with pets. MH always uses that when the dog is acting up or needs something that she is "my" dog because I got her before we dated but it's been almost ten years I think she's just ours now, so please just go feed her, I'm tired lol.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not hopeful this will happen without medical intervention anymore

Any questions? Any big boy bed transition suggestions are welcome! See below!

Rant/Rave? We had to move DS out of his crib about 3 weeks ago because he was falling out. It took a few nights for him to get used to it but then we had a week of sleep bliss! Going to sleep easily, staying in his bed and sleeping until almost 7 (which has happened a handful of times in his life) but the last two weeks have been miserable. He gets out of bed and runs to the door so we had been walking him back to bed which would go on for hours. One night we did this for two and a half hours until finally I just rocked him to bed. It was 10 pm and he was so tired from all the crying that he fell asleep within a minute. The last few nights we have been trying "camping it out" sitting next to him and then slowly moving further away, sitting in the chair and then standing by the door. Last night was his best night falling asleep, only took 20 minutes, but he was up 3 times last night which he hasn't done in months. We're going to try to stay consistent, although we added a nightlight last night which I'm hoping wasn't the reason for the wake ups, and FX by the end of this week he has made improvements. I'm more tired than when he was a newborn.

GTKY: Any Halloween costume ideas for your family?  I don't have any ideas this year but last year DS went as Cookie Monster and MH and I made cardboard cookies for our costumes. It was super cute. I like lazy/homemade family costumes because I don't like spending a lot of time or money on a one night thing.

  • @krash_ I totally get where his feelings are coming from. He has never had his own dog. When we married, he married into my crazy zoo. So I want him to enjoy naming the dog and all the things he wants to do but acting like an actual child over it is ridiculous.
I think toddler sleep issues are way worse than the infant stage. I think for some kids, the crib feels safe and sleeping in a big kid bed is kinda scary and makes them feel exposed. My 3 yo still prefers to have all 4 sides of her crib or sleep in a PNP. I hope your little guy adjusts soon so y’all can get some sleep.
  • @krash_ Ditto on the early bed time suggestion. It got us from 4:30am wakings you 6am wakings. I hope the sleep adjustments settle out for your LO this week. FX for sleep for you all.

@emeraldcity1214 I’m sorry about the puppy situation with YH. It stinks that it’s making a happy event feel anything but.
  • @emeraldcity1214 we did end up going to the pumpkin patch, and we all had a great time. We met my sister there for lunch, so they got some auntie time in too. I’m sorry about your dog situation. That must be frustrating for you.

@krash_ do you know what it is that makes him get out of bed? Like, is it he is afraid of the dark/monsters? If so, what has worked wonders for us is using room spray (I try to get the lavender scent for extra sleepy effects) and we call it “monster spray.” We spray it every night before bed, so the physical smell of it puts my kids at ease.
  • @daisy528 I’m glad y’all ended up going. We don’t have any pumpkin patches up here. I miss the one we had in NE. It was like a little theme park. So much fun! We just got home from our outing. We went to the lookout and then down one of the trails to the view of the mountains and it started snowing on us. There were huge snow flakes too. We are going to have to start eating more snacks in the car because my fingers got so cold from passing snacks back and forth to everyone that by the time I got them back into my gloves they were tingling and hurting really bad.
  • @krash_ putting DS down earlier tonight, here’s hoping!!!
