How far along are you? 6w 1d

    Upcoming Appointments? October 19

Cravings/Symptoms? Nausea hit today. It was the fist morning I woke up and felt the nausea before getting out of bed. No coffee this morning, and crackers and ginger ale for breakfast. It's like my body was like, ooo we're 6 weeks now and 6-12 we do this. It was the same with DS, so I am trying to remind myself this is a good sign that everything is going well.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Tired after the 4.5 hour drive back from my parents house. Looking forward to seeing DH and DS after 4 days!

    Questions? Not right now!

  • @inthewoods23 I only told my mom and dad because I was with them and there was no way to hide the not drinking. Plus they needed some good news. We don't plan to tell my in laws or anyone else until we see them at Thanksgiving. We hope to have and of the AMA genetic testing done by then. I did tell one friend because she told me she was due May 6, so I had to spill! We both have DS who are the same age, so it is really fun to have a friend going through this and dealing with the same large age gap between kids.

  • @DoubleUp8 I spilled to my friend the next day once the line had gotten darker! She's been awesome through all my IF stuff and I wanted to talk pregnancy and baby things with her. Oh, and with this thread it doesn't matter how long you participated!

  • How far along are you? 5 weeks today!

Upcoming Appointments? Nov 9th is my first U/S. Just had my first beta bloodwork yesterday and got my results back and it was 664 :) I will get another draw done this Sunday to make sure its going up and doubling as it should.

Cravings/Symptoms? No cravings as of yet. As far as symptoms go im peeing all the time, burping, headaches and slight diziness and also tired.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Im doing ok. plugging along. Im trying to keep my mind busy at work and at home. Im excited cause its a long weekend here for Canadian Thanksgiving so im looking forward to time off work and eating yummy turkey with my IL's etc.

    Questions? Nothing right now

@inthewoods23 You gotta have time for TB 😆 forget work. We haven't told any family yet or anyone for that matter. Im dying to tell people cause in all my pregnancies I have never gotten to as it was always bad news :( No one in the family knows about the losses I've had. They don't even know were trying at all. This pregnancy we won't be telling anyone till after we know the NIPT is good, if it is then we will tell everyone sometime after 12 weeks. I plan on doing something fun for a reveal for Christmas with the IL's so that won't be till im 16 weeks by then. I got a long way to go LOL

@DoubleUp8 Sorry nausea has hit you. Thats the worst. I hope it passes.

  • @mindyb2019 nice beta! Is that going to be super awkward when you do finally tell? Are you going to let them know about your losses?

@ramzlau I'm sure I'm going to be so confused reading people's weeks/days. It's weird to think that I've known for 2 weeks that I'm PG while there are people who aren't even near being able to test! haha

  • @inthewoods23 thanks. no I don't think it will be super ackward when we finally tell them. They don't know about the losses so they won't know any different. Everyone will be soo excited for the news especially my MIL. Umm, im not sure if we will tell them about the losses or not. I wanted to at some point if it ever came up or a good time to discuss it but me and DH still haven't decided if we are or not. Might be kinda weird to bring it up now cause so much time has gone by. 🤷‍♀️ The only one that knows anything is my one SIL and her hubby cause we close. I told them when I had my first early MC at 7 weeks last Nov but not the recent one in July.
  • @mindyb2019 yeah I don't know to what extent we will ever discuss all the IF stuff we did. I don't think they have a clue! I went out to Red Robin for a burger with my dad and sister the evening of my ER last year! I wonder if they even noticed that I didn't have a nice work top on. Instead I had on a regular shirt and jeans.

  • @inthewoods23 haha I am such a numbers person that I keep doing the math for everyone’s test date through end of month. If I got a positive 12 days ago, and my due date is on the 12th, then at this point people due around the 24th should be testing. Almost to end of the month! Well at least for those early testers. And yeah it is weird that weeks make such a difference at this point.
  • @mindyb2019 **lurking** first of all - I’m so excited and happy for you! second - regarding telling close fam about your losses or not. One thing I noticed is that even with telling our friends and fam, we’d still get comments like “oh the first girl in the family!” Or “oh your first pregnancy how exciting” and it freakin hurt. We could gently remind them that those two things were not true. If we hadn’t told them about the loss, it would have felt even worse I think. So I just wanna give out that warning so you can protect your heart for those potential comments to come OR keep it in mind and see if it makes you change your mind about telling them.

  • @chichiphin Aww, thanks girl ❤ I'm happy too but just cautious and scared. I sure hope this is my rainbow 🌈  I hope your doing well. Ya, I've thought about that. ill prob hear those comments etc and im mentally and emotionally preparing myself. If people comment like that then me and my hubby have decided we will definitely say something about our losses to clarify and make sure they are aware that its not the case for us etc. I think holding all this stuff inside is killing me and it might help me feel better to tell them finally.
