  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 6/2, 5+6

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: baby weighs the same as a grain of rice

Upcoming appointments: 10/12 US with the RE. Not sure if there will be another. 10/22 is the first appointment with the new OB's office for all the background history, etc.

How are you feeling?: I am mostly tired, gassy, and have sore boobs

Rants/Raves: I had a little freak out at DH yesterday because we've had no doors on our rooms since years ago when we replaced the carpet but we're definitely going to want to put one on the nursery room. We chose the thicker padding so the doors won't fit in the frame. I've always wanted to just get new white doors, but we'd need new frames too since the current frames only use 2 hinges. After calming down and expressing why I was so stressed/anxious about it, we agreed to cut the door to fit, paint it white once it's spring, and replace the door knobs with handles.

    Questions: no questions today

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? Oh gosh I haven't watched regular TV in ages. I used to watch those really trashy dating shows on MTV or VH1 (anyone remember Shot At Love with Tila Tequila or the one with Bret Michaels?) back in my college years. I can't stand most reality tv now though. Also love watching Aggretsuko on Netflix.

How are you feeling?: Good overall. So far the nausea comes occasionally, and usually when it's been awhile since I ate, do I am working in morning and afternoon snacks to help
Rants/Raves: my dad might be getting out of the hospital today or tomorrow. There have continued to be small improvements in his eye, we are hoping that even if he doesn't regain vision, aesthetically he might be able to keep the eye and not have to get a prosthetic. Obviously, best case scenario would be regaining some of the sight in his eye.
    Questions:
GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show?
I guess the most recent trash tv I watched was Love is Blind.

    Edit: to remove weird spacing

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: haven’t decided...I want to be team green, but am also a big planner

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a ladybug

Upcoming appointments: Oct 13. Nurse visit for history and bloodwork. At that appointment we will schedule first US and visit with OB

How are you feeling?: mostly good. Nausea has started out not terrible today. Sensitive nipples and headaches because coffee and I are no longer friends.

    Rants/Raves: none right now

    Questions: none right now

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? All the Below Deck series

  • @inthewoods23 glad you came to an agreement on the doors. I will say I am glad we have door knobs instead of handles because my two year old can’t open them really easily. She is just now getting the hang of grabbing them and turning. Handles are easier to pull down and get doors open. I love and handles and we will have them eventually I have just been glad lately that they are still handles. - thought I would share a view from the knob side of things.

@DoubleUp8 Glad there is some improvement in your dads eye!! Hoping it keeps getting better.
  • @inthewoods23 I'm glad you came up with a solution for the door. I think because of all the hormones and the uncontrolable pieces of pregnancy, it is not uncommon to focus on and feel really strongly about things you can control.

@klj0228 plus one for planner here. I can't not find out! Good luck going with team green! You can do it!

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: in discussion! I want to find out, he doesn't.  I think he'll cave, he already said he didn't care if I found out he just didn't want to know but there's no way one of us could know and not the other.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an apple seed!

Upcoming appointments: 10/18 with RE for US and 10/28 with OB for "pregnancy confirmation appointment", I have no idea what that is, I told them I'm pregnant through IVF but I guess I just start with the normal appointments everyone else does!  might be a nice change actually

How are you feeling?: headaches are getting worse, not much else going on

    Rants/Raves: none at the moment

    Questions: none at the moment

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? @inthewoods23 I loved all those old VH1 reality shows!  Rock of Love and Flavor of Love were the best!  I figure if you're going to watch reality TV you may as well go bottom of the barrel.  Real Housewives is my go to these days.

  • @inthewoods23 Girl, we just started looking into replacing the doors in our house. What an insane process! Why are doors so stressful?? And of course, the hormones certainly don't help! Good luck!

@DoubleUp8 Good news about your dad's eye! I've been thinking about you. Sending lots of good thoughts your way! Keep us posted!

@klj0228 Why did I almost tear up when I saw that your baby is the size of a ladybug! How sweet! Also, +1 on being a planner. I just couldn't be Team Green. But DH is the same way, so it works out for us.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 6/7 5w1d

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: 100% finding out ASAP

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: An appleseed (also a dot snail, whatever that is)

Upcoming appointments: 10/23 Ultrasound, 10/27 appointment with doctor.

How are you feeling?: Mostly good, but I can't stop eating, which is not helping the mental game. I snapped at DH last night about how I can't control my eating, as if it's his fault... Poor guy...

Rants/Raves: I do not understand how time is going so slow. I feel like, all things considered, this year has gone by so fast, now the 9 days since I saw that positive pregnancy test have felt like approximately 4 weeks! So irritating... But, RAVE! I ordered my mom a custom coffee mug to announce to her (her grandkids call her a very unique name that doesn't exist on non-custom merch) and it shipped yesterday so I will be able to tell her soon!

    Questions: Nothing today

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? Dancing With The Stars. I've watched almost every season of it and I can't stop.

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: team green! And so excited about it! We found out on our last 2 and decided if we had a 3rd we would have a surprise

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: same as everyone else !

Upcoming appointments: not until late October

How are you feeling?: nausea in waves  and soooo tired

Rants/Raves: I’m still freaking out about where we’re going to put a 3rd.

    Questions: nothing right now!

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? Everything. Guilty pleasure is all the 90 day fiancé shows!

  • @DoubleUp8 glad to hear your dad will be out of the hospital soon! I just don't want to be in a position of rushing to get things updating in our house that are definitely needed for a baby. Our railing could wait a few months after birth since they won't be mobile for a while, but I'd rather get that done than forget and have a near accident and that's when we finally get around to doing it.

@klj0228 that is a plus for the knobs, but often I find myself carrying something and need to open a door and a handle makes that easy with the elbow. Although today I did get the garage door knob to turn this morning! Just more tricky.

@ellieemc26 ah yes! Rock of Love! Haha. I however do not like watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. My other favs are the cooking competition shows.

@Maggie1202 I had the same feelings last week like "wait I only got my first positive last week? Seems like forever ago!"

@kristah2 I have yet to watch the 90 day fiance or married at first sight shows, but that does remind me that I LOVED watching Say Yes to the Dress back in the day. I lived for Bridezilla too haha

Upcoming appointments: US on 10/26 soo nervous for it. and then doctor's appointment on 11/3

How are you feeling?: Seems like my symptoms have levelled out a bit, a bit gassy, breasts still sore and I am hungry a lot

Rants/Raves: It's like everyone at my work is in a bad mood. I don't need more stress on top of this! Everyone's so grouchy at quarter-end.

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? My friends got me started on Selling Sunset on Netflix. I'm not proud of it, but I love that show. I've also been watching Friends (for the 457th time) and Modern Family in between when I need something less dramatic.

  • @wendy838 omg I loved selling sunset. Such a guilty pleasure! I also liked million dollar beach house. Less dramatic but still good!

@inthewoods23 ooh married at first sight is good too!
  • @sgrn18 congratulations to both you and your sister! So fun!!! My brother and his wife just announced their pregnant with their first due in mid March. My oldest brother and his wife are due with their third here within 2 weeks. Crazy to think all three are going to be cousins all within 7 months of each other!
  • @sgrn18 awesome you and your sister get to experience this together!! I keep wishing pregnancy on someone close to me.
Also never too soon to bust out maternity pants. I’m working from home and have bought myself new lululemon pants for maximum comfort and I’ve quit anything with a button already.
  • @sgrn18 that's awesome that you're due so close! My sister is due with her 2nd in late April. It's going to be quite the surprise to say another grandkid is coming in 2021.

  • I am loving all these close family pregnancies!! Lol should be lots of happy grandparents!
  • @kristah2 did you get those high waisted lululemon pants?  I read those are supposed to be stretchy enough to go through second trimester if you order a size up, was thinking about ordering a pair myself!
  • @ellieemc26 yes! The align pants! I did order my normal size but I’m thinking now I should have ordered a size up. I also find that these are the best post delivery since they are high enough not to bother my incision and still keep me all in and look decent instead of frumpy when none of my other clothes fits. Worth the money in my opinion!
