Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team green. We didn’t find out with our first and then told everyone we weren’t finding out with our second (but actually found out just for us). Going back to not finding out.

Upcoming appointments: A phone appointment on Friday with my family doc.

How are you feeling?: Very bloated and occasionally queasy. My mind is also all over the place and it’s getting in the way of sleep (hence the super early post again). I woke up at 2:30am, 4:30am and now again at 5:30am and time my mind was buzzing. I tried an SOS meditation at 2:30, which sort of worked. I think I’m up for good now. It’s going to be a long day.

GTKY: A couple of years ago my friend got me hooked on the Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, etc. It’s a love-hate relationship, tbh. BIP is my favourite. It reminds me of Paradise Hotel. Then the Bachelorette. The Bachelor is my least favourite in the franchise. But they’re all true guilty pleasures.

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding Out! I would love to be team green because I like reveling in anticipation, but H abhors it. So for his sanity we are team finding out and as soon as possible.

Upcoming appointments: 10/14, counting down the hours

How are you feeling?: Mild nausea, tender breasts like that end of the day take off bra feeling only more often, some pulling that is giving me flashbacks to the aches and pains of being much larger with my first later in pregnancy, can’t focus but I am so happy that my colleagues keep asking if something good happened over the weekend, and we are still working from home.

Rants/Raves: We told our moms yesterday by letting DD where a shirt that says I have a secret. It was good to share with them so they can anxiously wait the dr appointment with us.

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? I rarely get a chance to watch TV. I think I escape using reading. Currently reading the book Sweet Magnolias is based off of, so might try to watch that next.

@pickle-chips The insomnia is real. I am awake for 3-4 hours every night and then ready to pass out by 6 pm. Hope today flies by for you.

How are you feeling?: Emotionally- Mostly excited, trying not to be too nervous, only thinking positive thoughts right now

Physically- I'm super freaking tired and really nauseous

Rants/Raves: I literally want to tell everyone I know lol waiting another week or so and then I'll start

@ramzlau that is such a cute way to tell your mothers! I haven't read Sweet Magnolias, but I did crush the first season on Netflix when it came out. I think it came out in month two of lockdown. Are you enjoying the book? I have a few meetings today (online), so I am hoping that will help get me through the work day.

@ruemcclanahan that's so exciting! Yeah, I would probably blurt it out right away in that situation. I told my sister pretty much right away after I got the first squinter.

TW, death of a family member:

Our Mum died five years ago and so my sister is my go-to person for deeply personal news. She is always the first to know, other than my husband of course!

I haven't told any friends yet. I'm itching to tell a few of them, but I'm trying to hold out a little longer for no particular reason.

Upcoming appointments: third blood draw on Thursday (first draw HCG was 194 last Tuesday at 4w and was 792 at 4w 3D!) and first U/S & appointment is 10/26

How are you feeling?: I feel great during the day, lots of energy but I do have a mild headache. I get decently tired at night but probably no more than usually with 3 little kids, ha!

Rants/Raves: Just dying with this wait until the first ultrasound. The first one always just has me a complete mess since I’ve experienced two previous losses

Questions: nada

GTKY: What’s your guilty pleasure TV show? Ugh, don’t laugh - but any and every single 90 Day Fiancé and 90DF spin-off. Absolutely love it.

Upcoming appointments: HCG beta bloodwork coming up 2x a week for a whole month and my first ultrasound isn't booked till Nov 9th

How are you feeling? Anxious and scared. I physically feel pretty good most days so far. Just really tired and have bad insomnia so I haven't been sleeping. Im wide wake at all early hours in the night and then and toss and turn and look at the clock every 10 mins. Peeing alot, burping, some headaches and mild tender boobs.

Rants/Raves: Just trying to remain calm until I get my first ultrasound to help ease my nerves as ive had 2 losses now. Im a hot mess untill i know something is actually in there and is ok. Trying to keep my mind busy.

Questions: None for right now.

GTKY: What's your guilty pleasure TV show? 90 day fiance all the Way!!! Love seeing all these weirdos that date and get scammed from people in different countries lol I'm addicted and can't stop. 😆

@mamakate2011 im sorry for your 2 losses. I feel your pain as ive had 2 myself. Its tough not to let your mind wander to dark places. yesss girl on the 90 day fiance.. your my kind of women 😆 LOVE that show too. I love every episode and spin off i can find lol

None of my IRL friends watch the show! I make my hubs watch with me and he is entertained but does not obsess like I do. 🤣🤣🤣

How are you feeling?: Pretty good which makes me nervous because that's what I said last time and then I started to bleed.

Rants/Raves: Not necessarily a rant, but maybe need some advice. My SIL and her husband started trying for baby number 1 this past winter and they announced her pregnancy that we have all been waiting for for years when she was about 9 weeks. She had been having a lot of bleeding, but an US showed a heartbeat at 8 weeks. She went in for another US at 11 weeks and there was no heartbeat. She had to have a D&C at the very beginning of COVID and found out they were having a girl, but she had Turners Syndrome. Fast forward a few months and I personally let her know that her brother and I were going to start trying for baby 3 over the summer and hopefully have a May baby. She expressed that she was OK with it and that they were going to start trying again soon too. Well I got a positive test a week after that convo and let her know we got pregnant sooner than expected, but wound up having a miscarriage. We waited a few months and tried again in August and didn't get pregnant. She also did not get pregnant over the summer and has been really depressed that they are are having trouble conceiving again. Now I'm pregnant and shes still not and I know shes really taking everything really hard because other people we know have announced pregnancies and shes expressed difficulty in hearing the news. I'm so nervous to tell her that we are pregnant again.

@ruemcclanahan honestly, I haven't got my betas done yet. Im going to get one done tomorrow morning and then a couple days after that on the weekend to make sure they are going up. Ill let you know what they are once I find out the results. Im glad yours are looking good. Thats awesome news!

@mrs_massie I am so sorry for your loss. And my heart goes out to your SIL, too. My instinct would be to send her a message directly before making any announcement, either a text or email, depending on how you normally communicate. Allowing her to process the news safely in her own space on her own terms without feeling like she has to react a certain way in front of you and also so that the news doesn't trickle down from another family member. I would also acknowledge that you are sensitive to the fact that she finds hearing the news difficulty.

I might be way off base. But that's kind of where I am headed. I have a very close friend who had a similar experience in the middle of August this year. And I have been grappling with how to tell her. They are cleared to start trying again in November and she still seems very positive about that. But I know pregnancy announcements have been hard for her to see.

Hellooooo... I really havent been on TB since the great dumpster fire of 2014. But here I am, back again. IF veteran on my 3rd science baby. DS is 5.5, DD is 2, and this one will be due 6/11.

Feeling hella exhausted these days with the occasional evening bout of nausea. Otherwise doing good. Havent been released by my RE yet to my OB office. They still have me coming in for appts through 8wks. Should get my first ultrasound by this time next week.

told a few people. not many... mainly the moms from my original BMB cause we are like real life BFFs now. Likely wont tell family til around Halloween, and general public will know around Xmas. Its still early so I tend to hold thigs close to the chest given mc history.

I had my first appointment (by phone) this morning and apparently my province just started doing dating scans! ...But they stopped at the beginning of COVID and went back to simply the 20 week anatomy scan. I'm mildly disappointed. I mean, I am grateful that right now there is no reason for an additional u/s but I would have loved a little sneaky peeky. My next appointment isn't until November 17 and will be in person. All of that to say, this morning's "appointment" was very anticlimactic.

I ate a whole Cadbury fruit & nut bar afterwards and now I feel like it's about to reappear on my desk any moment. A hell of my own making.

@ramzlau pretty much! She ordered my blood test requisition and maternal serum screening, but I won’t actually go for those until early November. Although, I was kind of grateful that it was a phone call versus hauling butt into the office with COVID precautions for a 3 minute convo.

@jaztastic totally! But my first two pregnancies were in a time before dating scans, so I’ve never seen the lil beano look. I’ll just ask my 3 year old to draw a picture of a baby and it’ll probably look about the same as an u/s hah.

@jaztastic that’s so great about your original BMB! I am in a FB group with my original BMB, created almost TEN years ago (June 2021 will be our 10 year anniversary!). I still haven’t even told them yet though. 😬 I’m nervous and want to wait until my u/s. I sooo wish I had someone to tell, lol. I’ve told my two IRL bff’s and that’s it!
