  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 5/20
    FTM/STM/STM+: Fourth time mom
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out at the AS
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: jelly bean
Upcoming appointments: Thursday, pending the results of my heart sband's COVID test.
How are you feeling?: Mostly ok. Tired, nausea that comes and goes, crying ALL the time.
Rants/Raves: COVID! DH had mild symptoms for a day, which I'm sure are actually from him working himself to exhaustion, and now our life is on hold pending the results of his test. I keep switching between terror and annoyance.
    Questions:
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Neither, in genetics I'm an early bird, college taught me to be a night owl. Now I'm a just perpetually exhausted and never want to be awake. I guess in practice my boys force me to be a morning bird.

  • @mrosek91 That's so stressful! Praying the test is negative and that your husband just needs a full day of good rest.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days:
    5/19
    FTM/STM/STM+: STM
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out, SneakPeek test scheduled for later this week!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: headphone earbud...?
Upcoming appointments: Scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm waiting to get a call back about rescheduling since my daughter had a fever over the weekend, and now I have a sore throat.
How are you feeling?: Like garbage. Between constant nausea from pregnancy and now whatever crud my daughter and I seem to have caught, I feel defeated by my body.
Rants/Raves: My daughter's illness over the weekend was brief, so I'm really celebrating that today! She only had a fever for about 24 hours, and she never seemed to feel too bad. She hadn't been sick all year, so I kind of knew we were up for some kind of bug before too long. Glad it wasn't a bad one.
    Questions:
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Night owl, 100%. I stayed up until 2 am last night watching Schitt's Creek, and I have no regrets. I am not friendly in the morning... maybe because I stay up too late...  :D
  • @mrosek91 sorry to hear YH is sick! Fingers crossed it comes back negative!

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out...planning to do a sneak peek test. I'll be ordering it after we have our first appointment Thursday.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby is the size of an uncooked macaroni noodle

Upcoming appointments: Thursday finally! We will have an ultrasound first, then meet with the NP. DH is able to come with me so I'm really relieved for that.

How are you feeling?: Mostly ok, but tired and have the occasional day of nausea.

Rants/Raves: DH has a job interview today! He is an attorney and has worked for his current firm for 5 years. They treat him like crap and he gets very little vacation time (and even when he tries to take vacation they make him feel bad for it). I don't honestly know the last time he had a full day off without doing something for work. I'm really hoping this new firm would be better...the pay would definitely be better so maybe worth it? He's nervous because he does like his two bosses on a personal level, but when it comes to work they are terrible. He was also hoping to move to a different type of law, but this would be essentially the same as what he is doing now. He also only got one day off when our son was born in 2018 so that sucked...I'm hoping that would be different this time around too!

Questions: i put this in the questions thread too, but have any of you asked about flu shots yet? I need one for work but just wasn't sure if they recommend waiting until 12 weeks? I will be asking my OB on Thursday at my apt too.

GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Neither right now lol. But mostly an early bird. I am always in bed before 9 otherwise I'm terrible in the morning, but right now I don't sleep well so it's hard for me any time of the day 🙃

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a blueberry / a headphone earbud
Upcoming appointments: Tomorrow with my high risk OB and NT scan on November 6
How are you feeling?: I'm ok, I don't feel as nauseated as last week, but I felt off after every meal today. My boobs are pretty sore and I sleep in really late in the morning.
Rants/Raves: I never got a phone call to confirm my appointment tomorrow so I'm a bit paranoid that they won't have me on schedule...
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? I guess I'm right in between. I don't go to bed very late, but I'm not a super early bird either.

@mrosek91 we had a scare last week when my fiancé had to get tested for COVID. Luckily he had no symptoms and came back negative, but yeah, I was like "if I can't go to my appointments because of this!!!!"

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Raspberry

Upcoming appointments: I had my first appointment today. Things seem good right now.

How are you feeling?: I am feeling more at ease this evening after a good appointment. I’ve still felt pretty nauseous lately. Keeping busy helps but it is also exhausting.

Questions: I’m trying to decide when to share the news. In the past, I’ve waited to tell family until 12 weeks. I’m leaning towards telling sooner.

GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Both? It isn’t healthy I know. Here lately, I’ve definitely been trying to get to sleep sooner because sleeping in isn’t an option.
