Hi All! I was advised to introduce myself here. After getting off of birth control 2 years ago, I haven't been able to ovulate on my own (I was always able to before birth control).

I'm on my third round of clomid + TI. I did ovulate on both of the first two rounds, but it did not result in pregnancy.

On this third round, RE advised I take the trigger shot today (10/5), so I should hopefully be ovulating tomorrow (10/6), and then take a pregnancy test on 10/19.

We had sex yesterday (Sunday), today (Monday), and will tomorrow & Wednesday , as well. RE advised skipping Wednesday, but having sex Thursday, which by my calculation is impossible (since egg lives only 12-24 hours after ovulation), so not sure about that advice.

If this round doesn't work, RE advised clomid + IUI for round 4. Nice to meet everyone!

Also, I would highly recommend you read the The Ultimate TTGP Guide pinned at the top of the board (https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12685680/the-ultimate-ttgp-guide-newbies-read-this-first). It would give you much better information about how this board is organized, and what to post in what thread. I also encourage LURKING for a while to get a sense of how people interact. We are a great and supportive community, but you get back only what you put in.

Sure! We're both in our mid 30s. After I came off birth control almost 2 years ago, we wanted to start, but as the months went by, I never got my period. My obgyn said that my body might just take time to readjust after the BC, but after a year, I went to an RE and after a few initial cycles that didn't go anywhere, covid happened so we paused.

We started trying again a few months ago and are now on our third cycle of clomid + TI. I triggered today, so will take a test 10/19. If this cycle doesn't work, we'll likely go for clomid + IUI.

Most of my favorite things to do are on hiatus now due to the pandemic, so recently I've been trying to bake/cook, paint, and read more!

Hi everyone!

I was active in the spring/early summer but dropped off in August as well started IF testing and weren't sure if we were going to pursue treatments. Also I'm a teacher and starting back to school virtually is killing my eyes, so I've been limiting non-work screen time. I seriously don't know how those of you who are on computers all day do it- my eyes are so beat up. It's getting a little better 7 weeks in but some days are better than others!

How many months have you been TTC?: This is 18

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Setting a RE now so I'll most likely just be posting in the IF thread. The dailies were getting difficult for me to think about after we got the 1 year mark.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have 2 LO (7 and 3) and 3 angels. I love to run and to read in my free time! I've been lurking on days my eyes aren't too bad and am excited to see so many grads!

Hoping to be able to offer more support now that things are stabilizing!

@_orchid_ yay, welcome back! I was wondering where you'd gone. I hope your RE consult goes well. Are you shopping around for an RE? Or are you limited in your choice by your insurance company?

@_orchid_ hi! Welcome back😊 if you haven’t already, look into blue blocking glasses. They have totally save my eyes when it comes to working on the computer. Amazon sells them pretty cheap, or if you wear glasses you can get a special coating on your lenses!

@_orchid_ Welcome back! I turn down the brightness on all my screens, which seems to help. I've always been paranoid that working on a computer is going to kill my eyesight. And regularly take "eye breaks". That said, I've always avoided my computer when I'm not working, it's like pulling teeth to get me to open up the laptop.

@acleverusername hi! We're going to a practice that is big in my area. It's only about 5 minutes from my work which will be convenient if I need to go in for morning monitoring, and several of my coworkers have had success there. I've been going since July and happy with the care there!

@daisy528 hi!! I got some blue blocking glasses a few weeks ago and I think they help. I think I want to get my regular glasses dipped too. I mostly wear contacts for comfort and then the blue light glasses on top.

@akoros ohh thanks for that suggestion! I'm going to try that tomorrow. I turned my phone to night light earlier today 🤞 it helps!! I've also been moving my monitor/seating throughput the day- I think part of it is having my eyes focused on one spot 2 feet in front of me all day.
