R/R: it's the weekend, which is the start of DW's work week. Not sure if I'll get any baking done, but I could dream. I have plenty of other things to do, bills, contact donor, laundry, so we'll see.

R/R: After an awful/annoying work week, it is finally the weekend! I’m going to hang out with family this weekend and just generally chill which is much needed.

CS/Q: Nada

GTKY: What is your favorite pizza topping(s)? Standard pepperoni is my go to, but when feeling adventurous there is a pizza place nearby that has a garlic/basil/chicken/balsamic pizza that is pretty amazing.

@fitzfizz holy cow after the week you’ve had, I can bet that you’re looking forward to the weekend! Enjoy your family time. Also, I lol’ed about you calling 20-something yr olds on Fri nights to discuss their u/s results.

Month/Cycle: 9/9

CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: Clomid + OPK + TI, bunch of supps/vits for both MH and I. Urology consult for him; additional blood testing for me. Oh and baby aspirin.

R/R: rave— since I was supposed to take yesterday off, I had cleared my calendar of (most) meetings. Then since we didn’t end up going camping, I ended up having a really productive work day. Also have my monitoring u/s this morning which I’m very conflicted about (tl;dr: monitoring is not a standard part of the protocol I’m on. It’s insanely expensive, but I’m still doing it for the peace of mind.)

CS/Q: major temp dip so I’m guessing I’ll O soon. But RHR is still low so, prob not until Mon.

GTKY: What is your favorite pizza topping(s)? I don’t eat much pizza anymore; so when I do, it’s usually the fancy kind like @fitzfizz. Love the spinach, balsamic, mozzarella, tomato combo.

@fitzfizz agreed, but bills have to get paid. Enjoy the weekend and that pizza sounds delicious.
@acleverusername so the donor is someone we met in June. We were encouraged to try home insemination, "because I was obviously fertile" by a midwife I saw in 2018 when we went to make sure everything was good for me to start trying. So we found someone willing to be a donor.

WAYDTGKU: So many things. Adding LIT treatment this cycle, hope to see results by next cycle.

R/R: Rant: Feeling very annoyed w DH, who has been putting off something we were supposed to do together 3 days ago. Rave: It’s actually cool this morning & a breeze is blowing! After 3 days of unbearable stifling heat & humidity with no wind, I will take this cooler weather!

CS/Q: Nothing yet

GTKY: What is your favorite pizza topping(s)? Not into pizza, usually do good ol’ pepperoni. But when it’s an event we get this super delicious specialty pizza with roasted shredded barbecue pork, thin-sliced onions, and ricotta. Sounds weird, tastes amazing.

@Kenneylynn3 thanks for explaining re: donor. If you don't mind my asking, how does an in-home insemination work?

@keikilove happy to have you on the dailies while we can. The cooler / breezier weather sounds looooovely. Enjoy and hopefully YH comes around to doing whatever it is you're supposed to do together.

@acleverusername I don't mind at all.
So what we do is receive the fresh sperm, use a medicine syringe to place the sperm as close to the cervix as possible. I then insert a menstrual cup to keep it in there, raise my hips for at least 15 minutes. I usually take out the cup the next day.
The process is a bit more steps if using frozen sperm.

ETA: @keikilove bills got done today, so maybe baking tomorrow! Enjoy the cooler weather and of course, always happy to see you in the dailies!

R/R: My H’s nana passed away this morning and it is heartbreaking. She was so strong and so healthy for so long then all of a sudden she got sick. I have no grandparents anymore so she was truly like a nana to me as well. And I am mad because Covid means we weren’t able to go to Canada and see her 1 last time. 💔 I’ll miss that lady. She was a firecracker!

CS/Q: Looks like I will O on Tuesday I think! OPK was higher today but not peak yet. Temp keeps dropping.

I hardly eat pizza anymore since I don’t eat dairy at all. But before it was definitely pineapple and bacon. Yum. when we do make your own pizza night, these are my toppings I choose.

@AKuzReve I'm so sorry for your loss. To answer your question, should make more molasses cookies so my mil can try them when she's visits this week. DW would like me to make banana bread. Whatever I end up making had to be dairy and peanut free....

@Kenneylynn3 thanks for explaining; I also ended up reading an article on at home insemination so I feel like I funny understand how that’s done.

@AKuzReve I am so sorry for your loss; and the fact that you can’t say a proper goodbye. *hugs* My monitoring appointment went well; I had 2 good sized follicles (21 and 16mm) and a couple more that were smaller (10mm). This is better than last Clomid cycle when I had one “runaway” follicle at 26mm. I’m pretty sure I’ll O tomorrow which is right on schedule/exactly as it was last cycle.

@AKuzReve I am sorry for your loss. It is so sad to lose anyone, but especially hard when you don’t get to say goodbye. I hope the healing process goes ok for you guys.

I peeked at your chart & am curious if you always have long cycles? I would think you would’ve ovulated on CD18 by your temps, but obviously you didn’t have a peak OPK around that time.

@fitzfizz I wondered how many might read up on it.

It’s controversial here in the US but not in all the other countries where it’s performed. I hope it works for us too!

@Kenneylynn3 All the baked goods sound delicious! Have fun with that project.

So not sure if anyone remembers my rant from a few days ago about my opks that I ordered weren't going to show until the 18th. Surprise! They arrived today, so I can use them this cycle. Still haven't baked anything yet. Got some work outside done.
