Pregnant & Not Married

My boyfriend and I are pregnant with our first, and could not be more excited! We planned on getting married before starting a family, but looks like our baby will come first! I come from a very Catholic family, and I’m just worried about telling them the news. Has anyone else been in the same boat? My boyfriend and I are both in our late 20s, settled into our careers, and have been together for 4 years. We’ve talked about marriage, but we are also in no rush. I want to be excited when I tell my family rather than afraid of how they will react. Any advice on how to break the news?

    This is my story too. In our time, marriage is not so important. My parents are also of other views and they didn’t  like it. But we need to live as we want and as we like. Do not be afraid of condemnation. Just tell them and explain what in your understanding it’s normal. I wish you be happy and congratulations!
