Trying to Get Pregnant

Re: UO Thursday 9/24

  • I have clearly been watching too much reality TV, but I am the only one who thinks most fake lashes look awful? They look uncomfortable.

  • @fitzfizz Fake lashes ARE uncomfortable. I hate them. I only wear them if I have to (costume makeup, theatre makeup, drag makeup).

  • @keikilove and @ashaislurking For my wedding I was talked into wearing them, but I only agreed to wear the smallest ones and even those were uncomfortable at least in the beginning. The ones I see some people wearing, I am legitimately not sure how they open their eyes.
  • Fake lashes are the worst! I was also talked into wearing them for my wedding and the lashes + mascara + contacts + crying = me not being able to see most of the day.

My UO: I don't think The Home Edit is actually that good. While their organizing is pretty it doesn't seem functional and I think they just make it work to make it pretty but it's not real life. Like you would have to buy specific groceries just to keep it pretty. Plus they're doing these celebrity closets and spaces and putting in cheap stuff. Did you see the straight from Home Depot vanity that they put in Rachel Zoe's closet that didn't even match? Plus they are kind of annoying.

  • I’m not a huge fan of the way the full sets of fake lashes look, but I do like the long more delicate sets! I really enjoy makeup though, so I don’t mind the more bold looks if they’re happy :) I know a lot of people don’t like the way drawn on eyebrows look either. But I am a natural blonde with nearly clear eyebrows and draw them on so 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • I agree. I’m not a big fan of the huge fake eyelashes too. Like WTF? Some of the lashes on women look sooo heavy and ackward and wayyy too over kill. I feel like I can’t even see their eyeballs, it’s just all lash 😆

@photographerwife I really enjoy makeup too 😁 so fun with colours etc.

I wore fake lashes for my wedding, and have to say I loved them. However, my makeup artist was amazing so they looked almost natural, I'd never put them on myself (tried once or twice and it was terrible). I've never liked having my makeup done and debated just doing my own for the wedding, but she was just fantastic. I actually looked like myself, just slightly better
  • I LOVE fake lashes!!! Would never wear them on a regular basis, but when I get my makeup done (really only for my wedding and weddings that I’ve been a bridesmaid in), it is my absolute favorite part of the look! I’ve only done the really bold ones once and I will say those were my least favorite.
