@keikilove I totally came to answer the gtky earlier. I just couldn't. I thought maybe after reading others I could find attributes that I do like about myself...my plan didn't work.

Aaaaaww, @Kenneylynn3, thanks for making the effort! But that makes me sad! I posted a very similar question a week or two ago and only one or two of us responded. We are all so awesome and clearly caring kind people--why is it so hard for women to praise themselves?

Maybe I will leave it up for the week and challenge all of us to see if we can at least post ONE thing? :-)

1) I like that I never give up on what's most important to me and keep going even when life is the shits.
2) I have a big heart and love to help people.
3) My sense of humour. I'm funny and love to make people smile and laugh.
4) I'm creative.
5) Im weird and quirky but proud of it 🤪

@keikilove I only could think of 3 last time so I went and found the post and my draft was still there!

1. I say what I mean and mean what I say
2. I don’t hold grudges. As long as people don’t routinely do ahole things, I’m more than happy to move on
3. I’m excellent at my job and am proud of the work/life balance I’ve achieved. Which may sound weird because of how much I’ve been working lately but it’s still on my own terms.

1) My tenacity is unwavering & has helped me accomplish a lot of great things in a life full of hardship & tragedy.

1) I'm extremely passionate about the things I do
2) I can pick up new skills very quickly which helps me accomplish a lot in life
3) I'm very flexible and adapt to changes quickly
4) I am capable of taking criticism and learning from it, and am also capable of giving constructive criticism to others when they need a nudge in the right direction.
5) I have a HUGE heart and will always help others in need if I can- particularly those who are marginalized

This is probably some psychological insight about how women are conditioned in society, but my first thought here was “make sure you don’t say anything that sounds too full of yourself.” So I think this is a really good challenge for us!

Most of what you all have posted is evident from prior posts, so I must say that I agree with all of your assessments 🙂

1) Very loyal and not flaky. If I say I will do something, it gets done.

2) Creative and crafty.
3) Intelligent and quick witted. I can remember almost anything and apply knowledge to solve problems.

1. I'm a sensitive person (HSP) which has it's pros and cons
2. I find a lot of things very humorous. I might be the only one who actually enjoys DH's ridiculous jokes
3. I like to sing the names of places as we drive down the street
4. My legs haha. I used to be able to squat around 150lbs in high school so I have always felt they were my strongest feature.

1) I roll with the punches. I have experienced many things in my life that can knock you down but I try to get back up again and not let it hold me down. @keikilove I like that you used the word tenacity. I was trying to think of how to say mine and I think you hit the nail on the head.
2) I like to plan and think critically about processes and events.
3) My body, it is healthy can can take me from point a to point b and typically doesn't give me too much trouble.
4) My sense of humor and ability to relate/connect to almost anyone.

I thought of 4 things...
1) I like that when I am faced with something I don't necessarily know the answer to, I don't give up. I do some research and figure out the answer I need.
2) I like that I usually will try most foods once.
3) I like that I am a people person, and can talk to most people with ease.
4) I am creative, and like to put that creativity to use to help others.

I actually really liked this question, just didn't have time to put thought into it! Particularly since we're generally ingrained with the idea that we shouldn't brag about ourselves (not that this is really bragging), it's good to think about things like this.

In no particular order:

I'm fairly laid-back, meaning I dislike drama, try to not stress about "small" stuff, and it's rare for me to get angry. I need a really good reason
I'm loyal and, while not great at defending myself, will readily go to bat for other people. Surefire way to get me angry is hurt someone I care about.
I'm generally very patient, and like to think things through before I act.
I do my best to be genuine and sincere in my relationships
I'm good at my job, and really enjoy it. It involves juggling lots of things at once, calming people down, dealing with personalities, putting out (not literal) fires, and working with a bunch of incredibly smart people.

I saw this post and I think part of it is that it requires a few minutes to think of an answer vs something like favorite dessert. I like this one, it has good depth, and with everything going on with TTGP it is easy to forget the good traits. So here I go:

1. Love deeply and fiercely loyal, family and friendships are important to me
2. I thrive on helping
3. I am an independent, intelligent, problem solver. I can quickly analyze and evaluate multiple options and reach a conclusion.

Good thread!

1. My sense of humor. I think I’m funny, though not everyone gets my humor, so I have to “read the room”. 😆

2. I’m smart but not an asshole-about-it smart.

3. I’m super objective, almost to a fault. I usually see both sides to everything. Sometimes it can come across as very pointed though.

@keikilove thanks for starting this very worthwhile exercise! The hardest part of me was not including any "buts"; I started doing that, then realized what I was doing (being self-deprecating which is not the point of this activity), and removed all the "buts" I'd added.

1. Perseverant: if I set my mind on something, you'd best be getting out of my way.
2. Passionate: I can get really into whatever it is I get into and if you ask me about it, I will convince you to love it as well.
3. I'm very good at maintaining friendships, even at a long distance. Since moving from Canada to US, I've actually grown closer to some of my friends home.
4. I will fight for a cause I believe in, even if I don't have any stake in it.
5. I've got great dance floor moves.
