Well I was lazy yesterday so I instacarted our groceries (instead of just going to the store myself) and ended up with $15 worth of sliced deli roast beef instead of a beef roast for the crockpot - so we'll be having roast beef paninis this week!
@feather_heather. I have been ordering all my grocery shopping and it is always interesting what I accidentally order or what they give me that isn't what I ordered. I ordered bread and butter pickles and then saw that the ones I got were "Zesty" (translation...spicy!!).
Roast beef sandwiches were a go-to for a while for me, but not anymore. Glad you can use it. I can't wait to get back in the store and have some more control over my groceries!
I got a bunch of eggplants in our CSA box, so I'm going to make an eggplant sausage pasta thing tomorrow. Tonight DH is making a chicken, broccoli and rice casserole. My only other idea for this week is BLTs.
So our hockey team, the lightning, are in the Stanley Cup so we’re going to this outdoor thing tonight at the hockey arena where you book a socially distanced table and watch on a big screen. You can order to go food from one of the restaurants too.
For tomorrow - got ahi tuna steaks on sale for $4.99 each at fresh market so we’ll just sear them (mine more than DH’s) and then make sautéed bok choy & brown rice.
I got a few fall recipe magazines over the weekend - very interested in making a creole stuffed baked squash recipe I saw in one of them. Also really want to make rice pudding but going to wait until after my GD test on Thursday.
We also have some lamb chops in the freezer that we need to make so I might pull those out for Wed or Thurs night!
@shelmcclel. We are cheering on the Lightning over here! Our team is Flyers, but you guys knocked out the Bruins. I didn't realize my Northern family were hockey fans until I apparently married into the wrong team! Bruins, Rangers, and Caps fans for our family. My FIL was a huge Flyers fan, so we cheer for them to honor his memory. Enjoy some food out!!
I made chicken Maughali with rice for lunches and then basil pesto red lentil pasta and garlic almond green beans for dinners! Lots of fresh fruit and veggies prepped for snacking!
M- Chicken and rice (DH cooked bc DS and I both weren’t feeling great) T- knock off PF Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps W-shrimp scampi TH- carry out F- steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, asparagus (maybe stuffing if I’m really feeling carbs)
