Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Thursday 9/17

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Re: TWW Thursday 9/17

  • Month/Cycle: 22/24

    CD/DPO: 20/5

    Timing: -2,-1,O

    Typical LP length: 12

Testing: My performance evaluation was scheduled for Wednesday so I think I’ll test Tuesday. If for some reason I would get a BFP right before my review I know I’d blurt it out.

R/R: I thought DH was gone this morning but he was just in the office ironing his shirt. He scared the crap out of me when he came in (I was in a half-asleep state) and then I couldn’t fall back to sleep because my heart was pounding haha. It’s a bummer after sleeping in yesterday. I’m heading into the office today to finish something that’s been on hold since tax season so that’s exciting. I’m mostly excited to stop for a bagel on my way in! Getting tired of the same old home breakfasts.

    CS/Q:

  • Loading the player...
  • @bows22 I have been on weight watchers for a few weeks now, so the thought of a bagel for breakfast sounds mind-blowingly amazing. I realize that sounds like hyperbole but it is not haha. I hope you enjoy it!

Month/Cycle: 9 months since starting, cycle 2 AL, but still benched so who the hell knows

    CD/DPO: 20/I think 3

Timing: Unless a condom broke and he forgot to tell me, nada

    Typical LP length: 13

    Testing: would be a waste

R/R: I decorated for fall yesterday so now my living room is making me very happy. I have been feeling very pessimistic lately and I am pissed to still be benched because of a paperwork error (results still not back!) so I am trying to do things that make me happy. I will be working on making Halloween cards later today, and that usually makes for a happy day for me. I fully admit that I am incredibly basic, and I really love fall.

CS/Q: Not that it particularly matters, but I am using this benched time to learn my cycle. I think my BBT froze or something because it gave me the same low number on CD 17, 18, and 19. I realized this on the 3rd consecutive day so I took the battery out and put it back in, then got a totally different number. Based on this, I can’t trust the temps on 17 and 18. I’m thinking O was day 17.

  • @bows22 oooh bagels! Honestly, if I had to start going into the office I might treat myself to something before going in too.

@fitzfizz I kind of want to put my fall stuff out too, but I won't until it's officially the autumnal equinox. At least that's in time for October. Then it gets swapped with Christmas stuff when Thanksgiving is over

    Month/Cycle: 39 (been counting wrong!)/28

    CD/DPO: 23/7

    Timing: -3  or +2 haha

    Typical LP length: 13 days

    Testing: next weekend if needed

R/R: I'm so glad the week is almost over. I need to weekend again haha. I was on my own yesterday at work and it turned out to be an easy work day so that was nice. Now let's see how long it takes before my coworker sends any email. There are times I don't see anything from him until after lunch! I get people can be slow to start in the morning, but taking ALL morning? That's just too slow.

CS/Q: my Flo app officially marked Sunday as O day. I should remove that one temp from last week Wednesday and see what it says, whether itatches FF or not.

  • @inthewoods23 I second the recommendation for it to already be the weekend!
  • @bows22 I hope you have a good day at the office getting that project done. How was the bagel? I must know.
@fitzfizz I'm glad you're taking some time to do things that make you happy while you're still waiting on results. I'm sorry it's been such a long wait. I'm glad you're using the time to learn what your body's patterns look like. Hopefully you're unbenched soon!
@inthewoods23 Lol I don't want it to be the weekend simply because I have quite a few (albeit short) papers to write this weekend that I'm NOT looking forward to. Hopefully your coworker gets moving a bit faster today!

    Month/Cycle: 8/6
    CD/DPO: 31/11
    Timing: -2, 0
    Typical LP length: 14 days
Testing: Tested this morning, BFN. Knowing myself I'm probably going to test every day until AF shows, TBH. I'm clearly a glutton for punishment at this point. I hate seeing BFNs but I also want to catch things early.
R/R: I have not been sticking to my homework schedule but I'm still getting things in on time so it's alright. I've needed to spend a little extra self-care time this week. I'm still waiting to hear back from my ObGyn about my progesterone levels and yesterday my PCP ran a thyroid panel. We'll see what those results look like. Hopefully I hear back soon.
CS/Q: My temp is definitely still trending up, but even with a vaginally temping chart it's still jumpy as eff.

  • @fitzfizz I have an orthopedic surgeon’s office as a client and one of the wives does the books so she is who I deal with....she once told me her husband said that if you eat a bagel you might as well eat a piece of cake. I’d rather have a bagel than cake but I think of that every time. I imagine you have similar thoughts haha. That’s so annoying about your results. I actually looked back on the WTO threads the other day because I was sure you had gotten them and I missed it. I hope it’s soon!

@inthewoods23 ill never understand how your coworker and can suck so much. Is he at least really nice? Any redeeming qualities at all?

@ashaislurking it was a bagel sandwich with egg, cheese, and sriracha honey cream cheese and it was amazing!! I’m sorry for the BFN, based on your chart though you could have ovulated one day later and only be 10 dpo! There’s still time!

  • @bows22 I hate getting startled like that when I'm mostly asleep. I think you deserve a bagel!

@fitzfizz I love decorating for fall! I still need to get the mums for our front steps. I'm sorry your still benched.

@inthewoods23 no emails all morning?!? That would never fly at my work!

@ashaislurking sorry about the BFN. Self-care is so important. I always have trouble remembering it's even more important when you are busy.

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD/DPO: 25/8

    Timing: -5, -1

    Typical LP length: 12 days

Testing: waiting until Saturday. I was tempted to test today because it's or anniversary, but I have some anxiety about being AMA and didn't want to have a BFP on our anniversary. Plus 8 dpo is really too early.

R/R: it's my anniversary. We are having salmon for dining. Gloomy day at the lake, but good for curling up in front of the fireplace. Definitely needed this vacation. I thought I was spacy on Tuesday because I was trying to get everything done before vacation. But this morning when I started the coffee maker and realized I had put the whole beans into the filter rates than the grinder part on top. This vacation is much needed!!

CS/Q: still rising! Crossing fingers. If it rises tomorrow, I will have a hard time not getting my hopes up

  • @DoubleUp8 that is a beautiful chart. I agree there was no point in testing today. But I’m excited for you to test this weekend!

@ashaislurking i think a normal length cycle is an excellent goal haha but I still hope you get a BFP!

  • @bows22 A bagel sounds amazing! I haven't eaten yet today and am pretty hungry

@fitzfizz Fall decorating sounds so fun! I normally don't do much inside, but like getting some small gourds and also potted mums for outside. However, my summer plants are still going strong, so I feel badly killing them prematurely to make room for mums...

    Month/Cycle: 27/1 AL

    CD/DPO: 25/10

    Timing: -6, -3

    Typical LP length: 14 days

Testing: if I'm late, but no expectations based on our timing. RHR is holding at 59, which is a bit elevated for me but not that high. Could just be the extra 5lbs that are stubbornly hanging on (on top of the extra 20lbs I've been trying to lose for a while now)

R/R: Had a dental appointment this morning, which meant that I got to get dressed in REAL clothes and wear my new ankle boots for the first time! My last appointment was literally the last week before they had to close down for the pandemic, so it was a little weird going back. They definitely had to buy a lot of extra equipment to safely reopen, and while I'm not a fan of going to the dentist it was nice to see them all.

    CS/Q: none

  • @DoubleUp8 Happy anniversary! My favorite days are gloomy days spent inside cuddled up by a fire. I think it's beautiful. I hope you're enjoying your vacation!
@akoros Real clothes suck. I'm going to struggle so much when I need to start going into an office again. I live in booty shorts and tank tops. I hope your dental visit went well.

  • @ashaislurking Don't get me wrong, as soon as I got home I changed into yoga pants, socks, and threw a sweater over my tanktop/undershirt. That said, felt kind of nice to look "normal" for a little while, even if it was my fat jeans. I'll probably just use yoga pants for when I walk over to pick up a package later (which was delivered to a locker in a random high-rise building 5 blocks away with a completely different address....the concierge somehow got my number and called after I'd gotten home and changed)
  • @akoros I’m impressed that you wore real clothes to the dentist! I wonder if they judge my attire because I totally wear yoga pants there
  • @ashaislurking ha I hear you on the paper writing. I wouldn't want to do that either.

@bows22 the only redeeming quality is that he's very knowledgeable with our industry and products. My boss says his work ethic is fine, but he just doesn't have the sense of urgency like I do. When we interviewed him, I actually said I didn't like his personality. I very much had the stance of "I don't think I can get along with this person" and that is turning out to be quite true.

@DoubleUp8 thankfully right now we're slow so it's not a huge deal, but yeah... it's frustrating to me that someone could take THAT long to get into the swing of things. The other part that bothers me is that he starts a little later (8:30) so his work day ends later than me. Our system is set up that the phone will only ring during 8-5. If someone calls at 5:01 it automatically goes to our voicemail. He has at least a half hour every day of uninterrupted time to finish up leftover emails, logging calls, etc. I get that people operate differently, but I feel like he has no excuse to not be doing certain things to give us better metrics. Enough about me though... Happy anniversary!

@akoros I get bummed too when I have to actually put real pants on to go out  :D Grocery shopping though I will still wear yoga pants.

  • @bows22 @inthewoods23 @runningoncookies It was really all about the ankle boots, because a month or so ago I decided I wanted to give beige booties a try and bought a few pairs, but it was too hot to wear them. I'm still not entirely sure how to pull them off, but want to try. To get the package i put on my chinos, which are amazingly only slightly less comfortable than my yoga pants. I need to find more flowy tops so I can wear my leggings more often, those are by far the most comfortable of the bunch but I don't like wearing them with my butt exposed.
  • @runningoncookies I try so hard not to read too much into my charts but it's hard! I've finally told myself that triphasic LPs are common for my charts. Only took like 5 months  :D hey, a girl can dream.

@akoros I was the same about ankle boots. I've only recently started wearing them (like in the last, maybe 4 years).
