Maybe pregnant/confused

So my husband and I have been trying to conceive our first baby since June and on August 10th we found out we were expecting. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks. We waited until my HCG levels were negative. We had sex a week after the MC bleeding had stopped. We used a condom but it broke and I have been having cramping and had a clear Stretchy discharge the past couple of days. Can you get pregnant so soon afterwards. And if so when should I test because I don’t know when to expect my period due to the miscarriage

    If you didn't wait until your first cycle after the MC, and you weren't temping, then you have no way of knowing when to test as your cycles tend to be irregular for months after a MC and/or the symptoms you experience could be drastically different.  If you suspect you may be PG again, you should test.  If it is negative, you should wait several days and test again if you have not gotten AF before then.  Repeat until you either get a BFP or AF.

    It's against the tou to ask if you are pregnant, but more importantly, we don't know.  If you are having clear stretchy CM, that is called, "eggwhite," and is often an indicator of a possibly fertile time.

    So to answer your questions, yes, it's possible to get pregnant so soon after an MC.  More likely, (if I had to guess), if you HIO only a week after the bleeding stopped, (and without knowing how long ago that was), your body could be ramping up to ovulate again SOON, so if you are trying, any day with fertile type / EWCM is a good day to HIO.

    ETA Oh, and ^^WSS Re: when to test.  🤷 Your guess is as good as ours, but call your doctor if you go 60 days from when the bleeding stopped without a period.</div>
