Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Friday 9/11

I didn't see one of these posted yet.

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Timing: good

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: not unless AF is late

R/R: My birthday is on Sunday! I asked for a trip to the apple orchard and a Nothing Bunt Cake so hopefully MH delivers. He get me pumpkin spice coated pretzels, they are Archer Farms from target and they are delish! Overall not bad for a Friday.

  • @krash_ Happy early Birthday!! Hope you're able to relax and enjoy the day <3

    Month/Cycle: 5/3

    CD/DPO: 30/10

    Timing: -3, O, +1

    Typical LP length: 12-13

Testing: seeing if I can hold out until tomorrow.

R/R: I thought it was Saturday when I woke up this morning, and then immediately got pissed it's only Friday. It's a dark and dreary day here again, so I'm looking forward to finishing up with work this evening and then doing something to relax (tea, movie, and crocheting!) Today is Day 3 of Whole30 for me. Thank you so much to those of you who have done this before and are encouraging me! I appreciate you <3 I'm still feeling slightly PMSy, so not too hopeful for this cycle. If/when AF does show up, I'm supposed to call my OB's office to schedule an HSG.

    CS/Q: none

  • @priyadoc enjoy your relaxing evening! A cup of tea at the end of the day has always been a good replacement for a glass of wine for me. FX it's just Whole30 and not AF making you PMS'y

  • @krash_ Happy Almost Birthday! Your plans sounds delightful. I hope DH comes through!

@priyadoc I've heard the first few days of whole 30 can be pretty PMSy, so fingers crossed that is what you are feeling.

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD/DPO: 19/2

    Timing: -1

    Typical LP length: 12

Testing: maybe a week from Saturday? Or if I can hold out, longer.

R/R: so excited it is Friday. Not a ton planned for the weekend. Maybe some apple picking and football on Sunday.

CS/Q: got another temp rise, so that was nice.

  • @DoubleUp8 Happy Friday to you!! Enjoy the weekend, your temp rise is looking nice!
  • @krash_ happy early birthday!!! I hope you have a great day!

@priyadoc ugh sorry that you thought it was Friday, that’s the worst!!

@DoubleUp8 apple picking is so fun! It’s def something I want to do at some point this fall, DH and I haven’t been in years!

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD/DPO: 23/1

    Timing: -5, -3, -2, -1, O

Typical LP length: on progesterone so at least 14

Testing: ughhh trying not to think about it yet!!

R/R: Happy Friday!! Today is my first day back in person at work, and it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I was pretty much able to stay to myself all day, but got to see some coworkers that I really missed which was nice! We’re going to my parents for dinner tonight which will also be fun!

    CS/Q:

  • @runningoncookies Sounds like a great Friday, enjoy!!
  • @krash_ Happy Early Birthday! I hope it turns out to be everything you hope for.
@priyadoc the first 2 weeks are pretty hard, but you'll get through it and you'll feel great! I hope your mood improves over the course of the day; mine is always affected when it's dreary outside.
@DoubleUp8 Nice temp bumps for sure! Enjoy your laissez-faire weekend.
@runningoncookies welcome to the TWW party! Glad to hear that your first day back in person went well; it must be so nice to see colleagues face-to-face instead of over your webcam.

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 16/3

    Timing: -2, O (IUI), +1

Typical LP length: on progesterone so however long I want! LOL.

Testing: Day 12 which is on 9/20

R/R: The west coast is in the process of burning down; the air quality in SF is so bad right now, but it's bad from LA all the way up to Canada. So, there isn't even a way to escape it. Unfortunately MH and I only have 1 air purifier and since we work out of different rooms in the house, the air quality in the office (where I work) is really bad. I have a perma-headache. And forget about going outside. We're going to order another air purifier, but TBH I'm seriously considering leaving the state; I have no idea how long this will continue for. In 2018, the smoke stayed over the Bay for 2 weeks, and only ended because the rainy season began. We're in early Sep and the rainy season won't be here for another 2-2.5 months. This is extremely heavy stuff.

CS/Q: too lazy to post. Temps are going up.

  • @krash_ Very happy early birthday! I hope your weekend is amazing!
@priyadoc Best of luck with whole30! I hope your symptoms -aren't- PMS symptoms but if this cycle doesn't work out for you I do hope you get some good news from your ObGyn when you see them again.
@DoubleUp8 I hope you enjoy a lovely relaxing weekend
@runningoncookies I'm glad your first day back to work wasn't too bad! Hopefully you have a wonderful dinner tonight!

    Month/Cycle: 8/6
    CD/DPO: 25/4-5
    Timing: -3, -1 (if 4DPO), -2, 0 (if 5 DPO)
    Typical LP length: 14ish days
Testing: I see my PCP for an annual physical at 9/10DPO and they might do labs at that appointment BUT I won't be testing until 12-14DPO.
R/R: Debating calling my ObGyn to see if they want to do any TWW labs this cycle (progesterone would be the main one) or if we just want to hold out... After last cycle's chaos I'm so on edge. I really don't want another 80+ day cycle. I'm happy I'm over here but I'm also kind of dreading the next couple of weeks...

  • @acleverusername I have a friend who lost everything in the fires. It hurts my heart to see so many people go through this. I hope the second air purifier helps. Leaving the state may be hard but it also could be necessary considering how DREADFUL the fires are.

  • @acleverusername hopefully the second air purifier gets there quickly and is helpful. Getting away to somewhere with some fresh air for a little while could be a good idea.

@ashaislurking sorry you’re feeling anxious! It might be worth it to call and see about labs!
  • @acleverusername I'm so sorry for what you're going through! The smoke is insane, I can't even imagine being someone with asthma or breathing difficulties at baseline going through all that. I hope your air purifier arrives ASAP. Where do you think you both would go if you leave the state? One of my best friends is in Portland and the hospital where she works is totally shut down because of the air quality!

@ashaislurking Thanks for the good vibes! I'm sorry you're feeling anxious but so happy you're here in TWW!
  • @runningoncookies glad your first day back went well! Enjoy you dinner with your parents!

@acleverusername I would be thinking about moving too! It's crazy. I'll take snow storms ( I live in the northeast) over wild fires any day!

@ashaislurking I'm so glad to see you here! I'm sorry this cycle had you on edge. I hope your OB has some answers and a plan.

  • @ashaislurking oops - we were posting at the same time! I am so sorry to hear about your friend who lost everything to the fires. It’s really crazy just how little control we have over the elements. Also, I hope your OB is open to running some tests.

@priyadoc there’s a chance we’d got to AZ as my FIL has a winter house there. We decided to make a call in the next 2 weeks if things aren’t better.

@DoubleUp8 yeah; it’s funny one of the reasons I left eastern Canada was because I needed to take a break from the winter. I’m ... reconsidering.
