Testing: seeing if I can hold out until the weekend...

R/R: It's a dark, rainy day here today - the exact weather to be curling up with a good book all day, but unfortunately it's a workday! I did have all 3 days of the long weekend off, though, which was so nice. I have a very small rant in that I got some mosquito bites on Saturday that just will NOT stop itching despite steroid cream! Such a small thing but so annoying. Also, I'm going to be starting Whole30 tomorrow. Will post more about that in Healthy Habits.

CS/Q: I have a question about proov tests. I did my 7dpo proov test this morning and in person I can see the absolute faintest little bit of a line, so I took a photo but there's no discernible line in the photo. Of course any second line means it's negative, but I've also read that sometimes that second line shadow shows up even when people have had blood levels confirming appropriate levels of progesterone. Does anyone have experience with this?

Testing: BFN this morning. I have no temps to go off, so no real idea of where I actually stand. I'll test again tomorrow probably. It is still early because I don't think AF should be here until Saturday/Sunday.

R/R: Work day for me, and honestly I am totally fine with it. Sometimes a quiet day in the office is much needed after a busy weekend.

@priyadoc I give you so much credit for starting Whole30. I would love to try it, but really don't think I have the will power to avoid certain foods!

@priyadoc did you do a baseline Proov test? Even if you see a like 7DPO, as long as that like is lighter than the baseline, it means you have ovulated. Fair warning: Proov test is ONLY FDA approved to confirm ovulation, which it sounds like happened for you. Many though try and use it to confirm sufficient progesterone levels which ... you know ... can be done but it’s not approved to do that. Plus, as you probably know, progesterone is released in pulses so even a blood draw can be inaccurate in measuring levels.

@acleverusername I did do a baseline test and today's was for sure lighter than that. Thanks for the reminder about what Proov can and can't detect....so helpful to hear when I'm overanalyzing!!

@priyadoc ditto to everything @acleverusername said about Proov. If it is lighter than your baseline test than you ovulated. I would say if it is that close to being positive then your progesterone is probably good but you might also see it lighten even more over the next couple days as progesterone rises. GL with Whole30! I touch base on the Healthy Habits thread but I just finished my third round if you need any recipes or pointers.

R/R: It is cool and fall like here and I am loving it! My birthday is on Sunday and we are planning on going to an apple orchard and have a nothing bunt cake and I can't wait! I'm not tracking at all so all my numbers are just based on O on CD 14 I think we still got decent timing in. We ended up making it work one night at my ILs

@krash_ Thanks for weighing in on proov!! I know you've done Whole30 and that was part of what inspired me to do it

Sounds like you have a great plan for your birthday, you deserve a wonderful day after the last few weeks.
